My boyfriend and I had a bogo coupon for this restaurant so we thought we would try it out tonight. Wow! The seafood is delicious! I have been to fancier restaurants at San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf and the fish is not as tasty as the fish I had here. I had the grilled tilapia with steamed vegetables and alfredo noodles. It also included a cup of clam chowder that was thick and creamy. Overall, it was a generous portion of food. I fully enjoyed eating there and hope we get the chance to eat there again. Pros: –great service –delicious food and generous portions –reasonably priced entrees –clean and casual atmosphere –large selection of entrees to choose from –a true hidden gem Cons: –Nothing!

The seafood soup was the best I ever had. A bottomless amount of the FRESHEST seafood is made to order and came steaming hot. I can’t wait to try other dishes.

Like everyone else has said this place is truly a hidden gem. I ordered the grilled snapper plate and the fish was falling apart of how tender it was. The vegetables could use a little work but the taste of the food in general was great. Must try!

This place is a hidden gem. I love their clam chowder along with the tastiest garlic bread. I usually do not like Alfredo pasta, but their pasta side is absolutely delicious! Some of my favorites here include the grilled snapper, grilled salmon, fish tacos, and grilled catfish. Give this place a try and you will not be disappointed.

This place seems to be getting a lot of good reviews. Unfortunately it didn’t turn out so well for me. In terms of freshness, this place gets an «F.» In many cases, seafood without freshness is poison. There was a sign on the wall saying that they were not responsible for a lack of freshness in the food(I should have heeded this warning). I ordered 2 things, one was a seafood pasta which was watery and runny. The other thing I ordered was raw Oysters. I got food poisoning for 3 days after this. They should take anything raw out of the menu for the sake of any future customers. As for the service, there aren’t many people here who understand English, you’ll be lucky if you get someone.

I went on sunday evening with my husband to eat here. I ordered oysters and ceviche. The oysters were okay, but the ceviche was not good it had a lot of tomatoes and tasted sweet. I also ordered a michelada and it was not good it tasted like i was drinking beer with tapatio. I would not recomment this place to anyone!

Great food. I usually order the linguini and mussels because I like the mixture of pasta and seafood. The waitresses are always nice and provide great service. I think their seafood dishes taste just as good if not better than other seafood places like Fish Market. I like this place. It feels like a welcoming restaurant.

I was really impressed when i stumbled upon this place on a random hungry day, and it just so happened to be happy hour so the appetizers were only 2.50! The calamari and fried zucchini was very delicious! I didn’t try a meal but judging off the appetizers, i wouldn’t be scared to go back! The waitress was very nice as well. Only reason i’m not giving it 5 stars is because i didn’t get a chance to try anything else besides appetizers yet.

This place is hidden and my hubby decided to try this place as far he remembers it is use to be called something else but we give it a try. I ordered enchilada verde with pork snd my husband ordered a enchilada and chile relleno plate and they are both very good. We will definitely be back.

I have eaten here 8 or 9 times. Always good, nothing fancy but always good. Qucik courteous service. Delicious hot food and reasonable prices. Come for happy hour and there are cheap drinks and appetizers. My granddaughter gets the fried calamari and I usually order one of the daily specials. If you are on the Eastside you should drop in.

Last time I came here was back in high school so I can’t remember what things tasted like. Got our order to go last night instead of eating in the restaurant itself. It wasn’t really busy so they were quick to take our order. Sat at one of the tables while waiting for our stuff. While waiting I kept hearing a snapping sound and my fiancé pointed out that there was a bug zapper up near the ceiling. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, I just wasn’t really expecting it. For food, we ordered the large clam chowder, siete mares(seven seas soup), and some fish tacos. The food was a lot in itself and there’s leftovers in the fridge. The large of the soups feeds 2, maybe 3 people. They give you a lot of bread with your soup which is a definite plus. The fish tacos were ok. They had a sort of sweet taste and they used salmon as the fish. Kind of thought they would use something else but I ate it anyways. The siete mares was ok. The broth wasn’t spicy and I felt like it was missing a little something like perhaps some seasoning and the broth I thought should be a little thicker. The clam chowder was decent. It was thick and creamy as compared to other chowders I’ve had.

I wish I could give it more stars. I have NEVER been unhappy! NEVEREVER. Their food is amazing. Their customer service is quick. Portion size is huge! I have never gone wrong with Rosy’s. I have never tried a dish I didn’t like. Everything here is perfect. If I still lived on the ESSJ, I’d go every week. But I don’t, so I go at least once a month. It’s worth the drive. I shop and then I visit with family and friends and we usually end up at Rosy’s after a busy day. Margarita’s are OMG! Contemplating a move back home. :) I definitely recommend Rosy’s if you’re in the area.

Having been craving a fish basket and a bit of help from Unilocal and other Reviewer’s, I find myself here. 1st order of business is their website pricing is a bit outdated as many of the prices appeared to be about 5% higher. I ordered 2 oyster shooters and some fried oysters to start. WOW! shooters were super fresh, huge and just plain awesome. The fried were also large and we’re cooked to perfection. This was followed by a 3 piece Fish, slaw and potato wedges. This was good but best I could give it was a 3 star. Overall good place I’d return to for more shooters and maybe try the whole fried fish.

This place was perfect for seafood. Changed over the years. We’ve been coming here before it reopened as Rosy’s fish city. No free garlic bread with dinner. Calamari was way over fried. Fried prawns were way over fried. Coleslaw was warm. NOWAY! 20 $ for the dinner. shrimp cocktail was good. I can understand the over pricing, but get better cooks.

For happy hour in East SJ, this place has cheap beer and fried app’s($ 2.50)! The HH times are M-TH 4−630pm. The ceviche(for happy hour) was okay, too«overcooked» imo. They also have several TV’s showing sports. Overall not bad if you’re looking for HH while in the east side.

Service was super b. we pretty much over order. And we were in a rush. So we literally sit down order, foods come out. Have a couples of bite. And left. I didn’t want them to think their foods wasn’t great. So I’m writing this review. I love the fact the restaurants is like a seafood super market. With fresh catch everyday. Everything we has when is come to seafoods is great. DONOT, I MEANDONOT order the pasta dish is Medicore. The fish ceviche was ok not as great as other places I have try, and the oyster shots. Don’t do it. You might as well order raw oyster on half shell. Now go to the good part. The crab cake was so amazingly delicious. Is not dry and surprisingly flavorful, the seven sea soup with snow crab legs, clam, fish, shrimp, mussel, and let me tell you the scallop are not baby scallop. Is medium size, as lease they are not like other restaurant giving baby scallop in the dish for show. Raw oyster fantastically fresh, cheese bread was pretty dry, shrimp Louis salad only come with three shrimp. I forgot how much they charge us for that. I never really look at prices when I order foods. Cause I fell like is worth the money if is good and is fill you up.

If it’s seafood you want on the Eastside this is the place to go! Rosy’s Fish City is a small restaurant located across from Home Depot on Story Rd, They have a large menu to choose from. Not only do they have fish dishes, but they also have steak, hamburgers, pasta dishes, and vegetarian dishes. They serve breakfast, lunch(try the lunch specials), and dinner. The garlic bread they serve is to die for! Every time I’ve been here the food is very fresh and delicious! The service at this restaurant is remarkable. I just adore Maria… She is always so personable and attentive. She makes eating here so enjoyable! There such a nice ambience at this restaurant… They always have some kind of Latin music playing that makes eating here so relaxing. If you want a really good meal and Eastside I’d have to say this is one of the top restaurants in the area. Go to Rosy’s Fish City and tell Maria I said hi! I think you’ll enjoy dining there as much as I do!
