I do not recommend Tomi, please avoid unless you like to eat a lot of poor quality food. The«seafood» was soggy and not fresh. We had 8 people in our party on a Sunday, it was $ 26.99 per person, NOTWORTHIT!

I am the fan of sashimi in this place. I like it. But don’t expect to see all kind of sashimi. This time there were salmon and escolar.

Well this place is a little difficult to rate. I appreciate buffet, because of the variety of choices. This place does have a wide range of choices, sushi, salad bar, desserts, fried food, dim sum, noodle soups, hot entrees, including sea food and Asian bbq. After one round of trying everything, you will already be full. The price is reasonable too, $ 17.95 per adult. We came here on a Sunday lunch time, no need to wait, inside is big and tables are close to each other. Services are quick. Ok, here is the«but» part, I know at this price, I should be reasonable about the overall quality of the food. You can’t beat that, but if they could pay attention to a few things, it will be better. For example, the seaweed salad is warm, which is a big No no, warm seaweed salad will make people sick. Ana they even offer seaweed sushi… I know the strategy is to get more choices, but seaweed sushi? You can do better than that. The seafood are all from frozen carbs and shrimps. No need to say more about the quality. Other hot entrees are good. So if you are looking for a variety of foods, go for it, but you pay more attention to quality, think twice.

It just costs about $ 16/person, I can taste a lot of food. Sushi here tastes good. Most of them are Chinese meals. It is spacious so dont worry to wait for a table. Dessert and ice cream are fun to try.

TL;DR: Quantity over quality. Just get sushi. I wasn’t sure what I was expecting; Tomi is within similar ranks of mediocre sushi buffets such as Todai and Hokkaido. Perhaps it was the fact that it was the highlight restaurant of the mall that heightened my expectations. But then again it’s Eastridge Mall, so it shouldn’t have expected been anything great. For a $ 25 dinner, you could get better. This place truly impresses you with quantity instead of quality. There is crab and lobster, but the crab is too squishy and the lobster is spongy. It’s pretty obvious the stuff was previously frozen. Even the sauce is really bland. The The fried food is painfully mediocre. You get a choice of veggie egg rolls with squishy filling, tasteless gyoza, limp ebi shrimp fry, and questionable looking onion rings. Nothing really stood out. Douse everything in sriracha to get by. Dimsum was also disappointing. The shumai tasted okay but it was so squishy. The only other savory option was the XLBs– don’t get me started on those. They were completely flat in their little foil pans. I didn’t even bother trying one. The other steamed options are sweet. Custard buns, red bean buns, etc. The one(and only) way you’d get even close to your money’s worth is with the sushi/sashimi. You get quite a selection of nigiri and rolls. There is decent poke. It’s still not worth $ 25 but it’s the closest you’ll get.(There’s no sashimi at lunch by the way) Don’t get me started on the dessert. The Tomi in Concord had taro pudding, which I thought this one had. It was BLUEBERRYYOGURT. Tasted like it came straight from the Yoplait cup. The coconut pudding was completely tasteless. No coconut flavor at all. Don’t bother with the ice cream, or if you do, just pick any flavor. They’re all so flavorless, there’s no difference between the flavors. The green tea tastes like vanilla. The strawberry tastes like vanilla. Even the chunks of strawberry in the ice cream tasted like vanilla. Go spend your $ 25 elsewhere.

I don’t know how else to put this, but this restaurant is the worst I’ve been to in a while. The restaurant was packed and the tables were uncomfortably close together. The tables weren’t exactly clean too. The server made our party of three move tables three times because they had a group of six come in and they needed the larger table we were at. We already had our food and drinks, so it was rude to make us carry everything to another table. In the table we ended up at, we were sitting next to some Hispanic people. The server made them get up to go pay before their meal just because they were Hispanic. All of the other tables were billed after eating food. This is unfair and discriminating. It is probably punishable by law. The food itself was not great either. The oysters are dry on the surface and milky. The fried food was no longer crispy. The sushi was deformed, and the wasabi was just green horseradish. A lot of the selection was actually Chinese food, and given that the servers were speaking Mandarin, this place is run by a Chinese person, but it is a Japanese restaurant. The dim sum station was okay, but some of the food in the steamer baskets were cold. I would pass on the soups because it is just cornstarch, salt, and water. I would also skip in the desserts and go for the fruit instead. The ice creams left a thick layer of grease on the roof of my mouth. When it came time to pay, the servers didn’t understand anything because they had poor English skills. The people next to us were trying to split their check and they were practically yelling at the server, but she couldn’t understand anything because she didn’t know much English. It is hard for both the servers and the guests to communicate. Did I mention that it takes away from the dining experience to have people yelling from the table next to you? This place is a mess. People are singing the Happy Birthday song, yelling at servers, and waving their arms and yelling from the middle of a walkway so their friends can see them. Overall, a terrible experience. I will not be returning.

It was my cousin’s birthday and she wanted to redeem her FREE birthday dinner. The wait was not long on a Thursday night and surprisingly it was pretty packed! I never knew people go out to buffets on a regular day. But that’s just me and i used to go only on weekends. I came here only to eat one thing and it was sushi! Surprisingly the sushi was fresh! I loved the salmon and hamachi they had. The rolls weren’t anything special to rave about and I’m not a fan of buffets in general. Their desserts were terrible, the ice cream melted so quickly and the custards are gross. I just stuffed my face with sushi to make worth of the dinner price. I hadn’t realized that prices hiked up so much. It was $ 25 per person!!! That’s crazy. I remember when it used to be only $ 15-$ 17. I don’t like going to buffets but only if the majority of the group wants to go. It is located in Eastridge Mall near the 24 hour fitness. Parking will get hectic and hide your belongings!

I’m just going to have to face the fact that buffets in America(price ranges of $ 10-$ 30) are just not going to be as epic as the ones in Asia(for $ 10-$ 30). I’ve been pretty unmotivated to eat at a sit down restaurant now, since I think AYCE are wayyyy more comfortable(HMU if you have a good recommendation for a buffet)! I came here with my SO on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch at 1PM. It was only two of us, so we were able to get in within 5 minutes of getting a number. I hear though, lunch is crazy on Saturdays, so if you come at prime time, be prepared to wait a bit! Stations: SUSHI Station //OH wow… probably one of the *better* options of Asian buffets. You’ve got a HUGE selection of nigiri(salmon is the way to go!), in addition to rolls. Too bad the cooked rolls aren’t piping hot. but hey-mayo drizzled on top is close enough. DIMSUM Station //OHHH. The classics– pork buns, red bean sweet paste bun, siu mai, ha gou, walnut cake(sweet), coconut cake(sweet). I actually really like their xiao long bao(pork soup dumplings)! Recommend trying it out. Next to this station, they have a few HK desserts– coconut mochi balls, almond cookies, and these fried crisps. NOODLESOUP station //Literally attached to the dim sum. You’ll see a mini menu with 10 different soup combinations… just flag down a lady behind the desk to help you! Super delicious wontons for sure… I would try another bowl! FRIED Station //OHHH. Thick cut steak fries, vegetable eggrolls, vegetable tempura, shrimp tempura! They had the pineapple glazed buns at one point, but stopped refilling those. I’m actually slightly surprised they don’t have cream cheese wontons… regardless, tempura is really good! SOUP Station //HMMM. They offer 3 staples(miso, hot and sour, scallop/seafood soup) and soup of the day. Not super impressed, but hey-gets the job done. HOTENTREE Station //This section has a huge line, but it’s definitely where you should fill up on if you are looking to eat some hot foods! Start off with beef chow fun, thin crispy noodles, or fried rice. Proceed to braised tofu with vegetables, vegetable medley, beef and broccoli. Then, head on over to the seafood! Crab, mini crab(what is the actual name.?), steamed fillet, fried mackerel, pork knuckles with tofu… YUM! I definitely ate all the seafood I could! ASIANBBQ Station //A bunch of ducks! A bunch of chickens! A bunch of BBQ stuff! I recommend the fried chicken wings(seriously) and the fried shrimp. And fried calamari… SOGOOD. SALADBAR Station //Seaweed salad, pasta salad, broccoli salad stuff, boiled edamame, fresh shrimp(cocktail shrimp, anyone?), fresh oysters! YASSSS. Really yummy! DESSERT Station //Colorful jellies, chocolate cake, tiramisu, cream puffs, chocolate cookies, mango pudding… I recommend the coconut cake. It’s almost like crème brûlée! SOGOOD. Also an ice cream station with 4 flavors: green tea, mango, strawberry, vanilla. Matcha is delicious! Too bad they don’t offer a cone though… FRUITS Station //YUM! Really fresh fruit. Most places don’t cut strawberry heads off, or wash the grapes… this place is perfect! I can’t wait to see what fruits they offer in the summer. Pros: –Quick service. –Clean environment. –Good variety. –Awesome lunch price! Cons: –After a while, you kind of look around and don’t know what to eat anymore. but that’s just me. Tips/Observations: –Parking is spacious! –Prices haven’t changed that much within the past two years…$ 17.99 for adult lunch! Overall, I would bring my family here! I enjoyed it, and I can’t wait to see what other new dishes they come out with.

I was actually quite impressed with this buffet. Considering the price for lunch buffet at less than $ 15 a person, one can get a large selection of Chinese food and sushi options. I’m less of a Chinese food fan at buffets and did not get a chance to try any of their entrees. However, the sushi fish was relatively fresh and they do not overly compensate with rice. Their side options including seaweed salad were pretty well-made, and the desserts were the basic buffet options, and were good. This place gets very crowded during lunchtime, so I would recommend coming earlier to just get the desired food options and avoiding crowding by the other tables.

I went here hella before I started Unilocaling(before I got a phone even!) so I haven’t had a chance to write an actual review for Tomi, despite it being my family’s overall favorite buffet in this area. I recently went on a Monday to celebrate my mom’s birthday, in order to escape the huge crowds that always build up on weekends. However, this review will include what I remember of past dining experiences here too. Ambiance: Tomi is a classy looking buffet. It has a separate island for sushi and desert, and a huge glass chandelier-like fixture on top of it. There are massive tvs all around the main dining area and the chairs are all a nice leather-like material. The buffet is cleaner than others in this area, and both the food stations and eating area are well-maintained. Service: The lines on the weekends are LONG and INTIMIDATING, but don’t be scared! I remember going as part of a smaller party and getting seated within 30 minutes, despite the sea of people outside. Larger parties, though, may have more issues! The staff are courteous and clear plates off the table quickly. One little anecdote I remember though, is that I was getting ice cream and asked the guy who was scooping for two different flavors. He refused, saying that he would only give one at a time. Later that day, I saw other people with multiple scoops in their bowls. I got three flavors at once the last time I was here though, so maybe it was a fluke!!! Food: Oh gosh, I’d be writing a novel if I reviewed every food item. They have the nicest selection I’ve seen in the Bay Area so I’ll just group them and comment quickly: –raw fishies/sushi: I like their salmon more than their tuna, and would say that their poke and sashimi are more worth than their nigiri and rolls, which are just a lot of rice and filler stuff. Their sashimi is nice and thick and they have like nine fishes and octopus. –Americanized Chinese food: they have the same ‘ol foods that one sees at every buffet, but there’s often a chef special that involved scallop or shark fin or something like that. Personally I don’t think it tastes that great, but it is something standout about Tomi. Their crab legs are pretty good. I find them too salty at many places but the legs I’ve had here have all been well-salted and super meaty. –dimsum: they have a row of bamboo steamers all stacked full of dimsum, as well as a display case for the baked cookies and stuff. I am not a huge dimsum fan but I have had the siu mai(idk the spelling) and the xiao long bao and I thought they were good. –deserts: Aside from the usual dry cakes and stale bars of *something*, Tomi does have some deserts I like. Their crème brûlée is good, as well as their mousses. They have unique ice cream flavors, not vanilla and chocolate froyo, and I enjoy those a lot. Overall: I was wavering on 3 or 4 stars, but they have japchae on weekends(I think), and that stuff is like crack to me so I’m giving the extra star. I always walk out in a food coma, having eaten my body’s weight in food. I personally do like and recommend this buffet, as its one of the better buffets I have been to outside of Las Vegas. Oh my gosh this is actually a novel. Congrats to those who made it through my rambling!!!

This is our favorite place to over eat on sushi. We usually start prepping by skipping 2 meals before we go. We time our arrival to the peak of the hunger and we also take the wait into consideration(which typically last 15−20min). The buffet has a great amount of variety of food. The sushi selection is great with rolls, sashimis(dinner only) and sushi salads of different kinds. My favorite is always the chef’s special(dinner only), it’s typically a cold seafood delicacy and has never been boring. Generally once I’ve finished about 1.5lbs of raw fish, my stomach is cold so I proceed to the soup department and grab a hot&sour soup. Their noodle dept is not so great, so don’t waste your time. They also have a variety of dim sum, but on my recent visit, they didn’t seem as soft as it used to be. The other side is the hot Chinese food section, they’re nothing special and generally don’t really deserve much attention. I usually wait to get to the crab legs(dinner again) or just get some black bean clams. The place is really busy and service has declined over the last couple years. They don’t seem to have enough waiters and as the result, the dishes pile up before they get replaced. The seats are also wearing out.

We went here for my father in law’s 70th birthday and we did not have to wait. Well, we waited for them to arrive but that was about it. It used to be where you can eat for as long as you want without time restriction. They kind of have a new rule now where you can’t eat any longer than 2hours. Isn’t that kind of a rip off. It’s supposed to be all you can eat. The price isn’t cheap so why are you putting a time restriction on us? That’s the reason why I gave them a 4 star instead of 5 stars. I like the quality of the food here. It’s very well prep, fresh and delicious. If you come here on your birthday you get to eat for free. There is a catch though, you have to eat with 4 other people in order for the birthday person to be free. I really like there Che(Vietnamese dessert) here. Not too sweet and not too bland just how I like my dessert. They have a good variety of raw seafood here if you come on the weekends. No crawfish, grabs or any other special seafood are served during the week. Try this place out if you like fresh sushi. I do find that this place have the freshest sushi of all the buffet places I have visited in the past. Give it a try!

AYCE! $ 29 after tax on a Friday night… not bad considering all they have to offer. Parking can be pretty difficult because it’s located in Eastridge Mall across from Red Robins. It always seems to be busy, especially so on the weekends. They finally have their waiting system down. Tell them how many people you have and they’ll print you out a number. When your number gets called, they’ll walk you in and seat you — then it’s time to chow down! I head straight for the sushi because that’s all I’m there for! They have sashimi, poke, nigiri, and rolls! They also have shrimp, muscle, oysters, kimchi, and seaweed salad. They also have a dim sum section, make your own noodle bowl section, various soups, and fried food section(fried dumpling, shrimp and veggie tempura, fries). Then they have the usual Asian buffet foods like fried rice, chow mein, teriyaki chicken, calamari, Peking duck, pepper shrimp, etc. Service is honestly not that great here. You’re lucky if they come over once to refill your drink. No smiles. They bring your check to you right away insinuating they want you to leave ASAP. The food’s great though so I’ll keep coming back.

Tomi is probably the best seafood buffet in the South Bay Area. I normally only come here when there is a birthday since you get a free meal with two paying adults. On a weekend night for dinner the price per adult was less than $ 30. Pretty expensive, however, you do get a lot of great choices for the cost. Lots of selection from clams, crab legs, crawfish, shrimp, sushi bar with rolls, nigiri, salads, dim sum, an udon/noodle soup bar, hot meats like duck, chicken, salmon, chow fun, fried rice and lots of other items. The food was tasty, some things a bit too salty. Sushi was good and fresh enough for a buffet. Service was great. Food trays were refilled promptly after being emptied. We didn’t have to wait in line even at 7pm on a Saturday so that was great. Place was clean. Definitely will come back on especially on birthdays!

Food was okay, a lot of it was luke warm. However, beware, if you go with a group of 7 or more they will force you to pay all together, even though you specifically stated that you would all be paying seperately when you arrived. That is exactly what happened to me and the party I went with. We were forced to pay all together because they automatically tack on a 15% gratuity on your bill with that size group, beware of the shady business tactics enforced by this sub par establishment.

There’s a huge variety of food that is decent quality. There quite a few seafood items, a chinese barbeque section with chicken, duck, pork etc, a noodle soup section, a sushi section, a dim sum section, and dessert section. This is the best Chinese buffet in the south bay.

This is easily the best sushi and seafood buffet in the San Jose area. One of the most important criteria for any buffet is that it have a constant level(preferably high) of customer turnaround. The reason that is important is because it means the food is probably not sitting around. That is not a problem here. Not only is this place huge but the foot traffic is simply insane. People are running all over the place– which also means that you need to pay attention when you are walking with your plate– and food is zinging off the buffet and being replaced by the large staff as though they were magical elves. The quality of the food is very good and the diversity of the selection is excellent. There is sushi, sashimi, dim sum, fruit, vegetables, crabs legs, fried items, stirfried items, tempura, soup and a bunch of other stuff I probably forgot to mention. There are a lot of tables here, but the place is so busy you will probably have to wait a little bit before getting seated. The price is a little high compared to other area buffets but the food is so much better that it just makes sense to go here.

I realized I never wrote a review and I’m about a month late but better late than never! My best friends and I were craving sushi so we decided to come here before 5 because we knew there was going to be a line. We got there around 4:30 and people were already waiting outside while they were prepping everything. It took us a while to get seated since they seat about 2 – 3 groups at the same time. They had plenty of sushi to choose from. As for crawfish and such, by the time my best friends and I made it to the seafood bar, everything was nearly gone. I say go for the seafood first and the sushi afterwards because the seafood goes quickly. Also, go a little early otherwise you’d have to get a number and wait for it to be called. The place fills up quick.

I’ve been here numerous times since it’s opened and I can safely say that the food is getting worse. Everything is either just okay or not good at all. I usually go for the sashimi and sushi to make the most of my money’s worth, but this time I only went for one round of sushi because it just was not good. Most of the sushi had a new sauce that they haven’t used before and it was gross. Their squid was disgusting. It was really slimy and hard to chew, so I had to spit it out. I don’t know if they switched to a new ice cream or not, but their mango wasn’t good either. The only decent thing that they had today was their hot taro soup dessert. It grossed me out that the workers handling the food were using their bare hands to refill the food. It’s so unsanitary. There are plenty of tongs available or they could wear gloves. The service was never that great to begin with, but it’s getting worse too. The workers that walk around the tables are rude. They don’t stop or move to the side when they see people holding food walking pass. They will literally walk in front of you and either bump into you or make you move out of the way. They don’t apologize either. It’s like you’re not even there. When we tried to pay they told us they don’t take American Express, yet the table next to us was able to pay with an American Express card.

They have a wide variety of food. Just to list a few: oysters, lots of sushi, Alaskan crab legs, dim sum, various meats you would find from Chinese butchers(like roast duck), scallops, a ramen bar, etc. Based on my experience with the oysters and sashimi, the seafood seems to be pretty fresh. During dinner hours, this place might get a bit hectic. Expect to have a crowd around the Alaskan crab legs and people rudely trying to pack their plates as high as possible. Lines are seldom obeyed as people cut to get their share of some of the fancier buffet items(ex. scallops, crab). Parking was a bit difficult here but we came during the holiday seasons at night. You get a free meal if it is your birthday. In my opinion, the food is better than most other buffet foods. I prefer it over Tatami. My only complaints are that the food was very salty(we thirsty for hours after we got home) and that the bathroom smelled like cigarettes.

This is definitely one of the better buffets cuz they offer Japanese and Chinese varieties. I am quite impressed by their sushi selection because they had poke, salmon rolls and just various combinations of the ingredients I like. They have different soups and even wonton or beef noodle soups. It is under $ 20 for weekend lunch so if you eat 3 plates of sushi, you got your moneys worth haha. Enjoy the fattiness!

If you were to choose a buffet to go to in the Bay Area, I would recommend TOMI’s. The only time that I ever go here is when my family has a get together. What I like about TOMI is that it has a nice variety of food options from sushi, seafood, bbq, etc. Be prepared to be cut in line at the stations and have long waits depending on the size of your party for at least more than 30 minutes-1 hour. My favorite station is the sushi station. They have lots of varieties of sushi whereas other buffets only have the general California Rolls. They also have Abalone and monkfish liver here but you have to ask the guy thats serving it to give you some. It’s one serving per customer at a time but I don’t think they really care because people always come back for more anyways. The sashimi isn’t the freshest but it’s decent. I really like eating the cold raw oysters and add lemon + tabasco sauce on them. Although, some of them can be slimy. The hot entrée/bbq station has a good variety also but I don’t really get much here other than the black beaned steamed oysters, king crab legs, and dungeness crab legs. Sometimes they also have roast beef. A lot of people also get the crawfish but it’s frozen, super tiny and doesn’t look appetizing to me whatsoever. You always get cut in line by these popular items. Sometimes people bring 2 – 3 plates with them and stack all the king crab legs on their plates and leaving nothing but the bad leftovers. Especially when they bring fresh ones out, you will see a mob of people walk to it. BBQ station has the general chicken, bbq pork, duck, etc. Not bad but some of them have way too much fat on it. The dim sum and noodle station isn’t that great. There isn’t a good variety of dim sum and some can taste dry. For the noodles, I usually get the Wonton Udon soup but it has been tasting more bland every time I come here. Ice cream/desserts: The only buffet that I know that has other flavors other than vanilla & chocolate on a cone. They have mango, strawberry, green tea and vanilla. Not the best ice cream there is but it’s not bad. I love green tea ice cream and this place was decent. They have a selection of fruits but I never get them because they don’t look fresh. For desserts, they have things like cream puffs, moose, crème brûlée, yogurt and cake. Service: My experience has been on and off. Sometimes the waiters grab your plates out of the way fast and sometimes they don’t even come around so you have to wave at them to pick it up for you. It’s also the same with refills! TOMI has mediocre quality food but isn’t a really bad buffet. Make sure you have an empty stomach!

Located in the Eastridge Mall, this place is always crowded and fills up quickly throughout the day. I think their lunch price is more worth it than dinner(but you get more seafood during dinner). They have a variety of food: sashimi, dim sum, noodle soups, soup, hot foods like pan fried noodles, fish fillet, grilled vegetables, etc., as well as fried goods, seafood(shrimp, crab, etc), meats(chashu, chicken, etc), fruit, dessert(including ice cream). There’s a whole selection of food and you can definitely find something you like and get several servings of that, or try a bit of just about everything. They don’t take reservations unless you are a party of 6 or more, but they use a number system that is broadcast and shown on a screen(you are grouped based on your party size). There’s almost always some people waiting to get in even before they open — so if you don’t want to wait but don’t have a reservation, get there early. You can shop around in the mall, but they don’t use a buzzer system, so you can’t stray too far. Overall, it’s a very cheap meal for a seafood/sashimi buffet(especially for lunch) and you get in for free on your birthday(bring valid ID) if you come with 2 paying adults. The quality of the food isn’t the best of the best, but it’s decent and what I would expect for a buffet style restaurant.

Came here for our buddy’s birthday! We were a massive group and we went after gaming up a storm at Round 1. Really not bad in terms of a buffet. The sushi was surprisingly good. The salmon wasn’t bad at all(when you can get it), though most of it is covered in mayo. Sadness… stupid allergies. That said, I put seaweed salad on all my rolls to make them extra delicious. The most surprising thing here in terms of deliciousness is their dim sum. The siumai was excellent! If I were to come back, I would reserve all my stomach space for sushi, siumai, and milk buns. I can’t really remember what else I had… I’m pretty sure I was food coma’d well before anyone else was. If you’re there early, service isn’t too bad. They are sort of like ninjas in that they’re not there one moment, and the next, your empty plate just vanishes and you have no idea who took it.

Came for a baptism luncheon. I’ve heard about this place from a lot of people. It was really busy. I guess because it was saturday? There’s a really big selection of warm food and sushi. I highly suggest staying away from the sushi. For the most part it’s raw. They didn’t taste like much, even the ones with the sauce. I found the hot food was overly salty. I couldn’t eat anymore of it. All I tasted was salt. Shame. They should hire new chefs for those two sections. Someone with some tastebuds and creativity. The only thing I really really liked was the tempura. The chef had that on point! I didn’t try the soup. The fruit selection was meh, and they weren’t even ripe. The ice cream was weird. It didn’t taste like it was suppose to. The only flavor that was good and tasted like it was strawberry. I tried the walnut cookie and that was very delicious. Service was really good. But I think that’s because we had a very large party. I wouldn’t say I’d return. Not because of the crowd. The food was okay. But not something I would need to go back for. I can’t say this enough, the tempura… AMAZING!!!

I’ve been coming to Tomi for years. The food is pretty good and you can’t beat the price for a sushi buffet. Overall the sushi is pretty good. It a quite a variety and it’s fresh. The sushi is constantly being rolled as the mass of hungry people pile sushi onto plates. And there’s always a nice selection of hot Chinese/Asian food, if you get tired of sushi. I really enjoy this place. However, the reason for 3-stars… One of the things that I’ve noticed of late is outside of the dining area, the place is a little dirty. If you want to lose your appetite, visit the bathroom. It’s in a state of disrepair. At last visit we noticed a cockroach on the wall next to the table we were assigned. We moved but I would say most of us didn’t find the meal as appetizing anymore. Been coming for years. Quality is okay for price

You can’t leave this place without needing to be rolled out. There is just too much to choose from and everything is pretty decent. If you come on weekends, expect a long wait. Check in on Unilocal to receive a free soda(only one per table, though). They carry the typical Chinese Buffet dishes such as chow mien, fried rice, chicken wings, crab legs, clams in black bean sauce, etc. My hubby like to get all the meats such as duck, chicken and they have a good fish. Sometimes they have good dim sum selection as well. I always opt for the sushi, even though it’s not the highest quality, it doesn’t taste fishy which is a win. They have a variety of rolls to choose from, sashimi salads and hand rolls. If you’re looking for quantity, definitely check this place out. For dessert, I get the green tea ice cream which is pretty good! Clean place and located inside the Eastridge mall.

So we had just walked around Rancho San Antonio for almost 7 miles so we were ready to celebrate with stuffing our face with all you can eat sushi. So we looked around and Tomi Sushi came to mind. Unfortunately the closest Tomi Sushi is not in Mtn View or San Jose(although there is a Sushi Tomi and a Tomi Sushi in the area just not the seafood buffet), it’s in San Jose. Good thing was it’ was 1:30 and we still had time to drive over and get there before 3:30 closing on this lovely Sunday afternoon. Well Eastridge parking is fairly atrocious on the side with Tomi but we were able to find parking far away which might have been a good thing to help with walking off the food we were about to eat. We got to the entrance and got seated immediately which was nice. I was afraid of having to wait a half hour. We walked in and we were asked what to drink. I showed my Unilocal check-in and they marked my free soda which was nice. Bad thing was that we got a different server when we got the bill and she was trying to get me to show the check in and get it marked used again. I was like uh… I kind of already did that with the other server. Thank goodness they were able to get the soda price off. There was a variety of food from roasted/bbq pork/chicken/duck to chinese food staples like chow mein/fun, dim sum, broccoli beef, crawfish, soups, salad bar area, as well as what we were there for which was the sushi. Although there was no sashimi during lunch they had a poke salad which had large chunks of fish. I did like the variety of sushi which was great to fill up our tummies. I was a little aghast with some of the people nearby eating. They had blocks of sushi rice from the nigiri piled in brick style on their plates as they just ate the fish on top and not the rice. They should really put in a rule around eating most of the food on the plate and not waste so much rice. The dessert was ok. The chocolate nut block was delish and the ice creams was awesome… just wish I could scoop my own as it was not enough and the dishes were so warm that it melted as soon as I got my scoops of ice cream. Overall the quality was meh, but a lot of meh is pretty ok. I did like the salt and pepper calamari, ice creams and poke. If I ever felt like seafood buffet-ing after working out, I’ll definitely be back for lunch since it’s only $ 18(not including tax).

AYCE for 2 hours **Remember to check in for 1 free soda per table! Food: Their food selection consists of your typical seafood buffet and Chinese food, including dim sum. I liked that they had roast duck and roast pork which aren’t seen in many buffets but they were missing a few of my favorites such as honey walnut shrimp. They have an area for noodle soups, in which there is a list of 10+ different soups you can choose from. They have a wide variety of sushi rolls. Their salad bar and dessert area was lacking. Most of everything I tried was mediocre, a little on the bland side. 3⁄5 Service: A little on the rude side. No one was friendly, not the greeters, the host, the waiters or waitresses. Our plates were removed from our table half the time. 2⁄5 Final Thoughts: Decent buffet for a relatively small cost. I would come back but it’s nothing I would rush back for.
