ive always been intrigued by Ruby Tuesday and i didnt even realize there were any located in San Jose. You can imagine how excited i was to find one sitting here, right in the middle of Mineta San Jose Airport. we had a long wait because we missed our original flight… womp womp womp… so to kill time and satisfy our bellies, we decided to grab a bite to eat here. we placed our togo order for some buffalo hot wings and an order of chicken tenders which came out to a little over 25 bucks with tip. normally we wouldnt mind since you expect airport food to be a bit more expensive than the normal but we were floored when we opened up the boxes: the wing serving had about 8 or 9 wings and it didnt come with any veggies. no biggie because they tasted pretty great. the chicken tenders was 4⁄5 count, which wouldnt be a problem but they were super small and dinky. they were half the size of the normal tenders i would get at even mcdonalds. no fries or any other side that came with this meal! best thing about this dish was the honey mustard. never again will i come here! food was good but the portions were terrible… whether or not we just stumbled here on a bad day… i’ll pass!

The french toast was nothing special. The breakfast BLT was ok. But the«crabacado omelet» was especially good; you can really taste the crab. Service was fast, and they had no problems accommodating our requests for substitutions. So, should you try now? Yes.

Worst service ever! No kids menu. We were seated and then multiple staff members proceeded to vacuum the floor instead of taking our order. When I asked if we could order, the lady decided to argue with me about how long we had been there instead of just getting our order. We left! Don’t bother eating here!

Ugh, we stopped there for dinner before our flight out on Thursday, and they had shrunk the menu by about half, it was now a single page laminated menu. Not a good sign. We left and ate somewhere else.

Perhaps I am affected by my low expectations of airport food based upon the multitude of past poor experiences, but my lunch today at the Ruby Tuesdays outside of Gate 27 at SJO was delightful. My cheeseburger was not only cooked to order, but it was juicy and flavorful. The fries were also so good that I took them with me on the plane and happily finished them while the high school aged emo girl next to me kept giving me dirty looks. Of course the burger was over priced, but you expect that at the airport, just like you expect someone is going to try and rape you in prison; it’s just part of the equation. So I guess if you’re looking for some lube and a little foreplay with your airport shower rape stop by Ruby Tuesdays by Gate 27 and get a burger.

We stopped here for a drink before boarding our flight to Cabo for vacation. Obviously when you buy a drink at a airport establishment its going to be expensive. Our bartender was nice and friendly though, and the drink was a nice stiff wake me up for a 9:00 am flight.

Excellent burger top out you in a food coma right before a flight. The pretzel bun burgers are so juicy and delicious! The fries are amazing, onion rings are not so great, the service is a little slow because the bartender is also a waiter to tables outside of the bar. Management should probably look into that.

Service was fast, and on point. I’m here 8am on a Friday. I sat at the bar the whole time. The bartender is Paty, she has made sure I have had everything I have needed and greeted and helped everyone who came in as soon as they walked through the door. She is friendly and helpful. I ordered the French toast, and it was pretty good. Nice and hot and she took away my plate within seconds of me finishing my food. I was watching the news and she was nice enough to notice and turn the sound up so I could hear it. And checked in a few times to make sure I was not wanting or needing anything else. And I did end up wanting more, I also got the steak tacos for breakfast. They were huge and came with potatos. Came out hot and only took 6 minutes to get them. Pretty happy with my experience. If I fly out from here again, I’d come back. The other girl Alexis was also friendly and helped with food running and making sure I had utensils. I stayed here about 1.5 hours watching the news and never felt hassled or rushed while sitting here eating. Almost forgot I was at the airport.

Crappy everything. Horrible service, had to get our own napkins and flatware, super slow on the orders. Had to grab bus boy for water. Fries too salty. Server left to get check so we could make flight and didn’t return for 5 minutes in a practically empty restaurant. This place was never open any night we were in the airport, so we finally caught it for lunch and wish we hadn’t. Way way too slow for airport traffic.

Yep, there are lots of other negative reviews here and they are accurate. Service is very slow. Took forever just to get a glass of water. My mini burgers came with mayo on even though I requested none. The salad bar had a very poor selection. The only fruit was a fruit salad of apples and grapes mixed in a mayo-based dressing and it looked gross. I asked the manager to get some fresh fruit she said sure. She brought me a bowl sliced apples and grapes and they were rotten — apples were sour and vile and squishy — some even looked pre-chewed(see attached photo). I pointed this out to my server as I left and she just shrugged. Manager avoided me as I left. So many better options at SJC, and even some that serve fresh fruit!

You can always count on the service at airport restaurants to be shitty. And I’m pretty sure had we had anyone else in the world it would have been. But our server was what I deem cool as shit. Other than them being out of the drinks we wanted(Uh, no Corona for our Corna-rita??), she was quick, attentive, and had personality for days. But alas, the food and drink was totally meh(2 star status). JAM and I shared the chips, guac, and salsa app. The guac did have pico mixed in but didn’t taste fresh, and neither did the salsa. No surprise there. The patron margarita I got was overly sweet and overpriced.

Service fell down today. I watched 4 tables who sat after me order and get their food before mine. They finally came over and said their was a glitch in the system. Oh well… stuff like that happens sometimes. I never got my water… I am thirsty dude! After asking for a glass of water twice I finally got it. Ahhhh. The food was pretty good. I had the tilapia with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Solid enough. The only reason I am writing this review is because I have been waiting to pay for over 30 minutes. Seriously! I must have my invisibility cloak on today.

Well it’s an airport restaurant, so how high should my expectations be? But really. I’m in here with literally 9 people. Why should it take 15 minutes to get a yogurt parfait? And then ya couldn’t even have brewed iced tea! I think it is a shame that so many franchises lose their vision when the put one at an airport. Look at the Starbucks and Peets here at SJC. nothing meets the customers expectation and it seems to be simply accepted due to location. Too bad.

It’s always hard when you have a terrible experience at a restaurant, and they rectify it completely… but you still had a bad experience. What kind of review do you write? We came here for breakfast before our trip to Hawaii, and both of our eyes were caught by the«crabocado omelet”– crab meat and avocado in an omelet with potatoes. I ended up getting it while my fiancé opted for the french toast. It. tasted. so. bad. I don’t know what it was, but it tasted like a bitter, dead kind of fish that humankind was never supposed to ingest. When I told the waitress, she let me get a french toast order instead, free of charge. It was good– but then, what fried bread covered in butter and sugar isn’t good? The potatoes were good too. It took us ages to get service at first, as others have noted. I overheard the waitresses saying the Ruby Tuesday president was coming that day… if only I had written my review before his/her visit! Hopefully the prez can make some much-needed changes… or they can open up for a better breakfast place to come in!

I cant believe I have never been to a Rubys before. The food was very good, I had the Herb Encrusted Talapia. The little cheese breads were delicious but I probably shouldn’t have had 4, damn waitress. She forced them on me. Actually Christie is an awesome waitress and was very attentive.

Ill keep it simple. Sat at the bar top. Good service. French toast were amazing ! Keep in mind they get slammed sometimes, bartender has to make the whole restaurants drinks plus take care of the bar top plus take care of you picky people ! All for shitty tips I’m sure. Just saying, don’t expect top notch service if you’ve never had a customer service job :)

I look forward to getting the salmon salad with ranch for dinner every week, while I’m on a weekly traveling engagement. The croutons are so good as is the seasoned salmon and the variety of veggies(green peas, shredded carrots, grape tomatoes, etc). The food and beverages are extremely overpriced so order wisely if you must eat here and get the salmon salad.

Expensive but the only place at the Alaska Airlines gate(s). Food — cheap and normally priced. However I wasn’t hungry. All of us business types in our suits crowded around the bar for a drink or two before flight to kill time. Waitress… hit or miss on how fast she was, but she was pretty good about checking up on everyone. $ 12+ for a drink. Now I understand why food prices are listed but the drink prices are not. Goodness.
