Super Taqueria

Great place to get burritos or tastadas. Safe environment and anyone is welcome (don’t need to be Mexican or know Spanish). Great hot sauce as well.

Love this place! I go here all the time. I always get the super veggie burrito, crispy. Their food is fresh and the best prices around for Mexican food. Their super tacos, taquitos and quesadillas are great as well.

Great place to get a bite when I’m in San Jose. Cash Only, but they do have ATM machine

We have been going to Super Taqueria for years and they are the ONLY burritos that I will eat. I refuse to eat them anywhere else because they do not taste good. Being mexican, I have high expectaions of my mexican food and this does it for me. My familiy and I come here when we’re craving burritos and the hubby will get asada super burrito and chicken flautas. The kids have asada burrito with beans/​cheese and they LOVE it. I get the super carnitas and it always hits the spot.
The only reason my review lacks a star is because this last time we went, they did not have chicken flautas (what hubby gets) so he had to switch his order around. He got asada flautas and a super carnitas burrito (like me). However, he kept mentioning his burrito had an off taste and it tasted cold. I said, maybe it’s the avocado but he kept mentioning that and could not finish a third of it. Well, the next day, he had stomach problems which leads us to believe he had undercooked pork. Mine was fine, however.
With that said, we have NEVER had issues with this so I hope it does not happen again. We like to give places a benefit of the doubt so we will still go back.

I first went to Super Taqueria around 15 years ago back then they were fantastic but over time the quality went down and the portions got smaller at a higher price. The super burrito was almost double the size to what it is now. I was a regular customer but IMO, there are better Taqueria’s now.

First time I’ve been disappointed at a super taqueria. Order some Super Tacos to go, I get home and the tacos look like 2 tortillas with beans It’s to far for me to go back but not coming back to this taqueria.

I just read a bunch of reviews for this location, which happens to be at the end of my street.
Many of the reviews are regarding the bad customer service, which I was laughing hysterically at because I was complaining to my wife about the very same treatment from their cashiers a day or two ago.
I sincerely hope the owner reads this, as the complaints I have read here regarding the stone faced ladies working the register are 100% accurate. Look, I know it’s just a burrito shack, but
the simplest customer service rule, or idea, is to at least greet the customer, thank the customer, and to not have an expression that looks as if you are inconveniencing them, in other words, smile. It’s actually kind of uncomfortable dealing with them. I have sworn that place of many times based on the service. I only go there for convenience if I need some cheap mexican food. But I think this last time was my very last.
The food, well, price is ok, and yes, sometimes some very tough meat in the carne asada, but that’s what you get from a volume Burrito slinger. If they did clean it up, get rid of the illegal CD dealer out front, and pushed the winos away from the outside tables, it might be better. But until they tell their staff to act like adults and not like spoiled children, I’m out.
HEY OWNER OF SUPER TAQUERIA ON ALMADEN, Please have a meeting with your counter help, and inform them that they need to be nice to the customers, because they are losing them, including me, based on all of the these one star posts.

The food is great. The service? Horrible. As I walk up to the register to place my order the lady doesn’t even greet you or even ask if she can take your order to begin with. I wish I would of seen her name so that I could earn you about who it is. Rude as hell. Doesn’t even say thank you when she is done taking your money. She didn’t even crack a smile. Last time I’m ever going back to that location.

I love super taqueria… stroy rd. That’s was my belated mama’s favorite and 11^th street.

Food is good & the Cook was nice hence the 2 stars BUT the fat cashier chick should be fired already for being so damn rude! Every time we come she has a stank attitude.

Cheap delishes burritos, unlimited sauce, onions, limes. Definitely worth a visit. The sauces are pretty spicy though and gave me bad stomach pains (had to go to the bathroom after like 4 times). So becareful with how much sauce you use.

What can I say… This is my favorite food in the whole wide world. Super burrito, quesadilla, side of rice, and topped off with green and red sauce, cilantro, and onions from the salsa bar. Perfecto!

Had to go there again before reviewing bc man the burrito was so good the first time. Yup, officially my favorite carne asada burrito right now, and just for good measure tried the tacos today.
Took me awhile to figure ou why its so good. But the answer is simple. THE MEAT. Its flame grilled like youd have at home right off the bbq. The taste is amazing. Secondly, the avacado. Its loaded with fresh sliced aquacate, not some guac like substance. Lastly, the hot sauces. Only two of them, and they are actually hot and compliment the food. Theres also all the fresh serranos u can eat. Bottom line, hella good and will be back again and again

everything is made fresh. Not sure why the guy rated this a 1 star but it’s your typical Mexican taqueria with the steak being cooked right in front of you.

A mainstay franchise since my college days a million years ago. Fresh salsas, great carnitas, good value for the dollar.

Got back from Hawai’i and was craving Mexican food. This place always hits the spot. Food prices and great food. One of the few super taquerias that are wonderful. Love their super tacos!

I got 2 chicken tacos and rice not good! Very blan taste, not cooked well. Soggy meat hard rice! On the plus side, the people who worked there were nice

Le Daria las 5 Estrellas a este lugar me gusta mucho… pero esta tarde el cosinero si se le puede llamar asi se paso todos tenemos problemas en Nuestra vida personal pero si no te gusta tu trabajo buscate otro los clientes no tiene la culpa. primero le b pregunte cual de los tacos q pedi para llevar Era el q tenia frijoles y me contesto de mala manera q estaba marcado. cuando llegue a mi casa estava mal solo uno no tenia frijoles. esperando mi orden llegaron unas personas Americanas y le pidieron algo muy simple de hacer en el burrito q ordenarian la cajero voltio y le pregunto si lo podia hacer y ni si quiera contesto .el americano trata de decirle muy nice en Español y nisiquiera lo voltio a ver ni contesto .le pregunto tres veces y ninguna contesto mucho menos verlo a la cara. gente asi no agradece tener trabajo !!!

Food is good here! Reminds me of Beto’s in Utah. I ordered the rolled taquitos and they were delicious! I also had a super taco which was very good but it bit spendy @ 3.99 per taco (wtheezy) but other than that it was a good experience.

Love it! Their fresca salsa is thee best!
This one is small but clean maybe 7 tables large counter clear menu and fast service.
I go once in a while. All their Mexican staples are real whole beans and fresh cheese and meat assortment is great including beef tongue if you like! I love this one only wish it were 4 miles closer to my home!

Looks old and dirty, tastes great and authentic Mexican.
Big plus for grilled beef tacos.
Be ready to queue on a Friday evening, even for takeout.
