For an airport food venue, this place is great. The staff is nice, the donburi(rice bowls dish) are great.

I had the Salmon bowl. Surprisingly good for an airport location! I would definitely eat there again :)

Ordered the Donburi beef dish which came with the meat, rice and veggies and it was a great dish where when I was eating on the plane, I had someone to the left and right of me asking where I got it from. It tasted good. However it came with the miso soup which I was craving for and I did not like how salty it was.

You are at the airport in San Jose. This is not the place to eat sushi. There are plenty of great places in town or at your destination for good sushi. Any other restaurant in the airport would most likely be a better choice.

Over th years I have eaten here probably 100 times and have never been disappointed. Fresh made sushi, awesome udon soup and fabulous bento lunches. My favorite is the Philly rolls and the katsu. Everything is made to order and served by an über friendly staff.

Fair prices for being at an airport with great quality sushi. Plus I only fly when I get good Southwest deals, so it’s a win win situation! Customer service is quick and efficient! If you’re about to board they have fresh sushi on the go. Took only about 5 – 6 minutes for my chicken donburi as well. Well earned 5 stars!

Surprising high quality sushi, did not expect it at airport. Prices are also reasonable Salmon, unagi, egg nigiri were all delicious. Excited to come back

OK for Sushi in the go. The serving sizes in the Sashimi combo had me still hungry afterwards. The salad was super basic. The Miso was incredibly salty(maybe I got the bottom of the barrel). The fish, at least the fish was good and fresh which saved the meal. However, at 22 dollars for six tiny pieces of fish, salty soup and lettuce… WAY overpriced. I was hangry after realizing the 10 year old with the Smashburger kids meal had more food than I… Oh well, it works for my diet I guess.

I always go to SJC and never know where to eat. I found myself looking at the clock indecisive of where to eat quickly. Usually happens when you dont know where to go. I was really hesitant but after staring at the smash burger menu … not really thrilled about fast food … i looked over to Sushi Boat next door and could feel myself wanting to go for sushi because it seemed to be healthier than a burger and fries. Glad I did! My roll was good. Fish was fresh and not funny tasting. Yes the roll was a bit sloppy … but what do you expect for an airport moving super fast trying to feed everyone in a hurry? Its the taste that matters. I saw their sushi guy whip out 12 rolls in less than 15 mins. You can’t expect perfection when everyone was like me watching their boarding times. Yes a couple dollars over priced than your favorite local spot … but when at the airport … it’s expected. Bottom line … I would go again.

I got the Sharks roll & Giants roll(8 pieces each) for under $ 29. I loved that they named the rolls after relevant local sports teams. There was also a warriors roll and a San Jose roll. Some prepacked sushi options exist for people in a rush but mine was made to order. Looks like they have hand rolls, udon, tempura & teriyaki bowls as well. They even have seafood udon! I am used to the Denver airport which has mostly American food. I love the different options on this menu here. There is plenty of seating and there is also a sushi bar. They serve plenty of alcohol as well. My rolls were delicious. The Giants roll had tempura, avocado, tuna and imitation crab while my sharks roll had hamachi, tuna and cucumber. Both came with the perfect amount of ginger. Service was prompt. One roll is enough for one person but I was greedy and indecisive about which roll I wanted so now I have a fancy snack for my airplane ride!

Delicious! No need to eat before you come to San Jose airport… This lil Japanese restaurant is health and good to go! Over the past few trips out of SJC, I’ve tried their sushi, seaweed salad and udon soup. All were good enough to order again. The udon soup seemed the perfect thing to stave off cold and flu season. Of course the prices are airport prices(udon, seaweed salad and a drink was @$ 22) but I’ve come to expect that. I’m sure airport rent is high! See ya there!

Great vegan sushi! A wonderful veggie roll(with tofu!), avo maki and edamame. I frequently skip the in-flight meal and enjoy my wine with some amazing vegetarian sushi!

Solid food(1x cherry blossom roll) with typical airport service. Airport markup + sushi = a little above average prices($ 15.41). Would eat here again if i wanted a quick«healthy» bite.

Pretty good fit an airport dining option. I’ve had sushi her before but today just felt like an udon day.

They serve sake which is a plus I ordered combo Large, it wasn’t too bad considering it is an airport sushi/fast food place. The fish was fresh and the preparation was fair. If this were a resturaunt outside teh airport it would be a three star with regards stricktly to the quailty but the location plus the cost pushes it up to a 4 star.

Pleasantly surprised to find this at San Jose airport as I was starved and had 2 hours until my flight back to the Los Angeles area. Ordered a chicken donburi. That comes with miso soup. The miso soup had decent flavor and hit the spot as it was just hot enough but not scalding. The chicken donburi was good and came with vegetables and enough chicken pieces to satisfy a hungry person like me at the time. The chicken was good. Tender and into cut small pieces. The rice was good and plentiful. The teriyaki sauce was perfect. It wasnt watered down but it wasn’t so thick like molasses either, as some places make it. Good meal. Had that and a Fiji water. Satisfied. Total $ 15.23… Not cheap. But at the time and considering the current state of hunger, worth it.

For airport sushi… not bad. A little pricey unfortunately! $ 20 for 2 rolls? And tiny ones at that? And they pack them so tightly that the rice tears off very easily. But there are much worse things you can eat in an airport! And it was quick even though they make the rolls fresh(except for some you can grab from the fridge)!

OK, maybe this would not be 5 stars away from the airport, but it was awesome to find good Japanese food in San Jose airport, and then with vegan options. If you are a vegetarian or vegan, this is a good option. Service was quick. And considering this is an airport, prices were not bad. I ordered the veggie roll sushi and a veggie udon noodle dish, along with some hot sake. Food was good and came out fast. The sushi was a little odd… lettuce(see pic) but still tasted good. Had to find the chopsticks… can’t eat this with a spoon or fork… add some siracha for spice.

Good choice for airport food. Very busy. The cashier warned me food would take 20 minutes, and it did. Soba noodles with tempura shrimp were tasty and fresh. Spicy sushi roll was made fresh also. Ordered to go and ate on the plane. Food was delivered to eat in, but that mistake was quickly rectified and packaged to go.
