Literally«meh» is what I thought at the end of my dinner. Although the service is great and our waiter was very attentive and cheery, the sushi was really subpar. The oddest thing was this one roll that had smoked salmon on it. I’ve never had smoked salmon on my sushi roll so I tried it, and it was just awful. The smoked taste is just so salty and overpowers anything else you’re eating it with. I ended up taking all the salmon off my sushi pieces. The rest of the sushi tasted like grocery store quality sushi. The ones that sit in those little plastic boxes all day. This place is also quite pricey. If it was quality sushi, the prices would be acceptable, but it really wasn’t. The teriyaki chicken donburi was good, however. I’m so glad we ordered it so we weren’t completely upset with our meal. Large portion, chicken was tender, and eggs were cooked perfectly. However, since sushi is the main thing at this place, my rating is still low. If you’re too impatient to wait for Yuki Sushi and see across the street that there’s no line for Sushi Kazoo, don’t settle for Sushi Kazoo like we did.

I love going to this place when I have a sushi craving. It tastes fresh, the service is quick, and we’ve never had a problem getting seated. I love the spicy hanabi roll and san diego roll, and the odyssey roll is a great treat. This place is a bit of a hole in the wall, but it’s great for a casual date or a weekday dinner with a friend. Definitely give it a try!

pros: –no wait, no line –quick service –amazing mackerel cons: — the little asian girl, bless her soul, it had to have been her first time on a job EVER. she had to ask us to repeat everything we said, AND she had to SEEIT on the fucking menu otherwise she couldn’t write it down. WTF??? she was seriously moronic, more happened with her but i cannot even remember. –REPLACE the fucking beer glasses that are old when you bring a new glass. –FROZEN edamame? come the fuck on. they were watery and FROZEN cold to the touch. — AWFUL uni, i dont know what was up with it but GROSS. others didnt sit well with me either. SIDENOTE: to the woman with her son and tattooed up boyfriend/husband(not a knock on tattoos, i have some).I am so sorry you have to put up with your mans behavior. This guy, fucking embarrassing to witness. He SHOVED his wife after a small quarrel about something, then literally threw his chopsticks at her like a fucking baby, after cussing at her. I tried to tell her«I am so sorry for you, get the fuck out of that relationship ASAP» but she didn’t hear me sadly(I didnt say the latter half but i wish i had). Her son was just totally zoned out ignoring all this because i am sure this isn’t uncommon of a thing to happen. It screamed abusive relationship with a straight up BABY of a cunt husband. Learn how to treat a woman, you dickfuck. No, wait a minute, learn how to treat a HUMAN.

My favorite sushi place in the valley. I have had a couple that were more fresh, but for the price thus cannot be beat. Great rolls. Just amazing.

***IFYOUWANTFANCYPANTSSUSHITHISISNOTTHEPLACETOGO*** Cute little spot tucked away inside a shopping center. It’s not nearly as busy as the rest of Lincoln Ave. The service was sub par but not bad. Staff is super friendly and the food was decent and the price was surprisingly cheap. It’s your typical sushi-go-round and you just pluck the sushi you want and they ring it up for you at the end. The only thing I didn’t like was the Tropical roll. It has banana pudding on it… gross. The Maiko roll and California roll were on point. You can choose from the go around or order fresh. My friend and I went here tonight because our first choice, Yuki Sushi, was packed. Sushi kazoo was a breath of fresh air as it was very open and we didn’t have to wait for a table or for food. We both had a decent about of food and both our bills were less than $ 20. I’ll definitely be back!

Friendly, helpful staff. My kids love the boats. But the freshness of their fish is just sad. I really should have sent the sashimi back rather than dousing it in soy sauce. My wife says the sweet teriyaki glaze on her cooked salmon didn’t even cover up the fact that the fish is just really old and smelly. Here’s hoping we don’t get food poisoning!

WOW! What a delight finding this sushi place on a Friday night on Lincoln and not having to wait not one second for a request to be fulfilled –Tremendous overall table service and quality from the kitchen –Warm & friendly atmosphere not crowded or pretentious –Excellent overall execution– preparation, design, plating– delivery. Signed the bill in such delight that I tipped 25%

I had never heard of this place, but my grandmother had gotten a hair across the way so we decided to get a bite. She had a bad experience with sushi in another restaurant so she’s been really close minded about trying a few places with me, but Sushi Kazoo, you rocked her world. We just got a few basics that I thought she’d like, and they did the rest. Great flavor! I’m a sucker for a little spice and The Spicy San Jose was on hit. Definitely coming back to try something new a little more intricate!

DONOTGOHERE!!! For time sake I’m going to bullet point my experience here. 1. The waitress spoke no English(which is fine. But that’s not appropriate for a server) 2. The waitress asked that my girlfriend and I move tables because we are«too big» for the other table(the restaurant was empty) 3. The waitress did not understand my order and continued to argue with me over my order and why I should not get something. 4. My sushi was put into a f****** blender and then wrapped. It was seriously a fish smoothie wrapped in rice. 5. The waitress told me that I should finish the last piece on my plate… Come on… That’s so rude!!! 6. The waitress then looked over my shoulder as I was signing the bill and said something in Japanese that I did not comprehend because I did not tip them.

I dont think i have ever regretted a meal more. My husband niw call this restaurant«Sad Sushi». The staff was very kind and attentive, but the food was just terrible. We arrived for dinner and I had 2 rolls, husband had a teriyaki dish. The rice was a strange, spongy texture and my rolls didn’t taste very fresh. The size of the fish pieces on my roll were smaller than at other sushi restaurants.

I gave it four stars because of the friendly, cozy and warm atmosphere. I love this place because it is like a little corner somewhere in Japan that is put in Willow Glen. I love when they play Japanese music. Their food is pretty decent and affordable. People may find sushi needs to be fancy and loud, but I find this place is a place to relax and enjoy my space and time with my loved ones and a good warm care from the people who work there. I really love that place!

I won’t be ordering food from here anymore. I don’t mind paying more for what I want. However when I ask for extra, and PAY for extra… They barely give me more and you can’t even tell the difference. That is ridiculous. You can’t own a successful business when you trick people. I would rather support an honest business.

One of the BEST sushi places in San Jose!!! I eat here every time i get my hair cut at a place next door, the garden theater barber shop, another great establishment. The food is consistently very good and you get a lot of food for the price you pay, the makings of a great restaurant if you ask me. The best part is how they treat their customers. The owners are Angelica and Luis, a brother and sister family business with great customer service, I actually asked for their names so that i could mention them. I’d give this place 10STARS if i could.

We’ve been coming here for years. Friendly staff, great tempura and they have the best Paradise sushi and fried gyoza.

Sad, sad, sad, experience. The one time that I decide to go out of my regular place(Cha Cha on Capitol Expwy) I get a ***HAIR*** in my california roll. Let me be more clear, though. It looked like a PUBE. When I told the waitress, she just looked at it and gave me a new roll. Like as if it happens regularly. With fast service and a lot of food at a cheap price, this place was doing so well for me. But that sh** is unacceptable by any means.

I like this place because they’re quick. I’ve been here a few times with family. The sushi is a little above average. Prices here are good also.

Yuki Sushi across the street in my opinion has much fresher fish and better quality sushi in general but if you don’t want a wait, you can come here. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall and there’s parking in the back if you can’t find street parking, which can be difficult during busy lunch hours. There’s limited seating inside with a few tables, a counter around the sushi boats and some tables on indoor their patio. I ordered uni, but they didn’t have any but they did have escolar, which is butterfish as their special for the day so I ordered that instead. I also ordered the Alaskan roll(four pieces of California roll topped with salmon and lemon slices) and Batman(deep fried roll with unagi and cream cheese). I have to say the rolls were very low in quality, the rice wasn’t sticking together very well and fell apart before it reached my mouth. Butterfish is one of my favorite fish and this place butchered it. The texture, color and taste was not to par. It wasn’t shiny, refreshing, buttery or sweet which is what is how it should taste. I only come here because one of my coworker’s seem to enjoy the food. I’m a huge sushi fan and this place is not for me.
