Found this truck by 2343 Ringwood in an office parking lot. $ 6 out the door for a regular carne asada burrito. It was ok, not great but it was huge. A super burrito probably would have been much better. If their super was $ 6 instead of $ 7 I would try them again but at their current prices I doubt I’ll be back. The truck drove down the road at 11:45AM so dunno it’s hours at this location.

It moved here 37.395767, –121.897914, on Ringwood Avenue. Took forever to find it. But worth! Super burritos are giant! I like the tacos a lot though. Prices are low too so can order multiple tacos: D

Now located M-F @ 9am at the back of the building at 2190 Fortune dr, San Jose, Ca. They hang around for at least 30 minutes. So come on time! And to start off: 2lb Burritos. ‘Nuff said.(yes. I weighed it on my company’s shipping and receiving scale) Seriously. 2lbs?! and that’s just for the standard burrito. All for $ 5.50! There’s still a Super to upgrade to for $ 6.50! So much yelling! I cannot say much about how it tastes(my coworker gets them), but he tells me that they have been delicious. However, I did get to purchase some Al Pastor Super Tacos. My my my. These things are TASTY! The hot sauce/salsa they put has a real nice kick. And it lingers too. But the al pastor is like a shredded, but sauced up carnitas. Melted in the middle is a piece of cheese, topped with shredded cabbage, chopped onions, cilantro, a drizzling of sour cream, and a wedge of lime on the side. Overall, the meat was a touch overly salty, but everything worked together really well. The textures were spot on and was not dry at all. The tortilla was big enough to hold everything and not be super messy. For $ 2.50 each, and the amount of food they give, I can’t complain. Lets go to Tac Go’s!

Tac Gos is quickly becoming a lunch time fix. It even has a stamp card for a free meal after several purchases(probably ten but I don’t remember). As a previous reviewer stated, Tac Gos is usually at Elemental Wellness 711 Charcot Ave. 95131 during the work-week for lunch until 4:00 p.m. Tacos are your best bet. They’re filling, flavorful, and authentic. Get two and you’re good to go. I also tried a vegetarian burrito which was pleasantly massive, but the flavors were overpowered by the beans. I am a super burrito person at heart, but when I go to Tac Gos, I get the tacos.

My ex-coworker brought one of the carnitas tacos back for me. At first glance, yes it’s huge and has a lot of meat. But… it’s so dry. There was not nearly as much sauce on it as there should be. If you haven’t tried it yet, the $ 1 tacos from Tacos El Ranchito are super bomb-diggity-licious, especially the pollo and carnitas ones. And for $ 1 a pop, you can’t go wrong! It’s a whole in the wall, but don’t be scurred. So worth trying.

Randomly I was driving on my usual route to work. I look to my right and pass by a food truck. Their presence in the Ringwood area is a normal occurrence, as it’s full of business/industrial complexes. On a whim, I did a search on food trucks that were in SJ Eats. Most of them have regular routes in Sunnyvale, downtown SJ, and SF. Lo and behold TacGo’s website and known locations were around my neighborhood. You notice that there’s conflicting location information on their website, Unilocal page, and customer reviews. I asked someone at the truck(possibly the owner) if where I found them was going to be a regular location/route.(Getting the exact location in a sec, but it’s basically on Ringwood Avenue near Olympus) As of May 10th2011, they will TRY to be there everyday from 8am-2pm. With the emergence of gourmet and social network savvy food trucks, there’s this expectation now that any food truck worth your money should share the same skills. They’ve got a twitter account, which they don’t seem to update often. I don’t think they have a Facebook account. You can’t even tell it’s a TacGo’s truck until you come closer or were able to see their small sign out the street. Their truck is low-key and simple. Plan ahead, call them before you leave to confirm where they are. The effort is there, and they seem to be trying(they’re working with a marketing company). But honestly, shouldn’t it be all about the food? I tried their taco with chicken with all the fixins.(Cilantro, onions, salsa) DELICIOUS and very very generous portions for $ 2.00. They offer quesadillas, burritos, tortas, fiesta salad, nachos, tamales, and tostadas. They also said that they also cook breakfast, hashbrowns, etc. The man I spoke with took pride that they’ll cook it fresh as you order. They also offer frequent buyer cards-one free item after purchasing 12 orders.

Got a message within 24 hours from the owner, John, apologizing and updating me on their schedule and location: «We appologize for the inconvenience!!! We know we need to update update our Unilocal page. Nowadays, We serve only three days out of the week, M, W, F in front of Elemental Wellness 711 Charcot Ave. 95131. « Now I feel better knowing they do care. Will definitely take up the offer and go try again soon!

I had the TacGos truck yesterday at the San Jose Eats and it was so delicious. I wanted to get MoGos originally but this definitely satisfied my appetite. I ordered 2 super taco de carnitas but they ran out of carnitas so they gave me 2 extra super tacos de carne asada! Very accommodating service! Even though I had to wait in line for 30 minutes it was very much worth it at the end. :)

I never had it so good I am so excited that the Tacgo truck is back. He’s not your typical Roach Coach Lunch Truck, He specializes in a few things only and does a great job. I love the Torta Pastor, but everything else is great as well. He said he will be back at Elemental Wellness starting the first week of April. Now I can get a quick lunch and my medicine all at the same place. This is GREAT!!!

Key advice: Be consistent! The food here is excellent. I would give 5 stars for that alone. But please oh please learn how to be consistent in your routes. The food is so good I’ve been hunting down this truck for breakfast burritos. They are HUGE and AWESOME. So in the morning where i am craving a ventricle killer, I go over to the Lowe’s where it is supposed ot be located and not once since I originally found it there has it been there between 8−10AM. One day the truck was there at lunch time and hoooray I jumped for joy and called a coworker who had heard me ramble on «que rico!» about the delicioso burrito. He came out and had one with me. The old mexican dude who was cookign up the food made up our bfast burritos despite it being lunch time. He told it would take some time to get the potatoes ready, and we waiting. So then he told us that he is always here at Lowe’s in the mornings from 8−9AM during the week. So, I got my hopes up and went there 2 times the following week, 2 times the next week, and of course, no sign of the tac-go truck. Sometimes it’s not even there for lunch! You call the phone number listed and it says it will be there and its not. ARGH! This is my frustration with small business, especially with the burgeoning food truck industry. Be freaking consistent. It is how you will make profits and expand your empire. MoGo is hugely successful because they follow a weekly route. Everyone has a general idea of where the truck will be and when. They also update facebook and twitter. These guys don’t. I want them to make it and I want to find them again for lunch.

Best taco truck food ANYWHERE. I don’t even consider this taco truck food, more like authentic Mexican food on a truck. Very delicious, very filling. I ordered two Super Tacos with Carne Asada… and I was blown away. After the first bite, I couldn’t stop eating the rest of it and ate my entire lunch in about 2 minutes. wow. Try this place out. They’re now located next to Lowe’s, you’ll see them right when you pull up to the entrance. Most of the Lowe’s employees I talked to, highly recommend this place.

One of my coworker who is a big fan of Mexican Food brought me to this place — OMG! Their Taco is so good and after the first try I couldn’t stop thinking about it! I am officially a fans! I always order the same thing, regular asada taco x 2 = $ 3 for a lunch. The regular taco is big, fresh and cheap($ 1.5 each)! I have no complains at all and the owner is super nice to us! They used to be on Ringwood but they recently moved. They are now located on Brokaw(where Lowe’s is) They always park outside of the Lowe’s parking lot(right across San Jose Mercury News), by the curb. You will spot their truck easily! :D Address is 775 Ridder Park Drive, San Jose, CA95131 please go support them, gracias!

This truck is ok. The owner is very nice :) It took a bit to get my food but everything is prepared fresh. It looked like, as you order, they prepare and finish your food before they take any other orders.hmm. Food is about a 4 to me? on a 10 scale.(I’m Mexican so I’m partial) Also, this place isn’t on Ringwood anymore, it’s at the New Lowes by the Mercury News.

These obscenely packed burritos are calorie bombs that can single-handedly add 5lbs per head to the Ringwood geeks in a matter of a work week. When I say this I meant a profound compliment. My favorite is the Burrito Lingua — it leaves a trail of immense satisfaction to work, then to my house. An admittedly short trail, but littered with productivity. I never tried their tacos, but from what I gathered they are just as good. The folks there are nice. They put up with my lack of basic Spanish vocabulary and hungry stares. They offer a frequent customer card, too — so it not only awards hunger, it awards loyalty too. Forget what you know about lunch trucks. This is a truck bomb that explodes in a cloud of deliciousness. For $ 4.50, you get a ginormous burrito that makes you forget your mother-in-law from hell and remember what heaven offers to a good Samaritan like me. Eh hem.

The super burritos are indeed massive and the super tacos have a little of everything, but I’ve settled into my two usual options: two asada tacos or an asada fiesta salad with salsa and extra meat. The only negative is that sometimes the truck isn’t there – most recently, it was gone for the entire week before Christmas. I nearly starved.

What did you guys do, kill a whole pig and stick him in my Super Burrito? This was a burrito so large that as I unrapped it I was expecting the Superman logo to be on it. I took a photo with a dollar next to it for scale. Stuffed with everything(minus avocadoes which would have been perfect). The meat quailty was very good. No bones about it, this was a great burrito and an amazing little find. They sell Mexican Coke too for under $ 3 and if you haven’t had that, buy it too! Real Sugar! Thanks to Charissa I. for the find and her personal suggestion I go here. Her reviews on this area of SJ for lunches is spot on!

I don’t know if my previous review played a hand in this but of course I like to think my helpful suggestion made a difference… anyway, they have orange sauce now(upon request)!!! For all you orange sauce lovers out there, this isn’t your typical batch of orange sauce. There’s a bit of spice, not too spicy at all, it’s thicker than La Vics, and is completely different! It’s a whole new kinda orange sauce! More sour creamy, smoky, chipotle-y. Either way, I’m just happy that my tacos have personality now. They just went up a notch in my book. I love Tac Gos:)

I vowed to eat healthy yesterday after gorging my self on chocolate eggs, marshmallow covered chocolate, egg colored malt balls, and chocolate bunny butts. My bowels were really looking forward to a giant green salad, fresh peppers, sprinkling of nuts and juicy tomatoes, but what came down the pipe started life as a monster al pastor burrito. The burrito was a 9 inches long and bigger then my skinny boy arms. It looked like the size of a can of tennis balls. All for a modest price of $ 6. The burrito was stuffed with refried beans, I prefer black, and a truck load of meat. The greasy love seeping from the bottom of the wrapper was minimal and the salsa had just the right amount of omph! A real worth while trip for a quick lunch. I highly recommend it. They would have gotten a 5th star if they had black beans and gave you a baggie of chips. Alas, there is always room for improvement. But next time i want a great burrito I will be stopping by here for a quickie.

When I was interviewing for the position i have now, I passed by this truck and wondered if it was going to be there if got the job. Low and behold it was and provided me with a breakfast the 2nd day of my new job. I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage. I would’ve preferred the chorizo, but apparently it wasn’t ready. It took me about two hours to finish the breakfast burrito as I was used to having egg whites and two pieces of a turkey breast for breakfast which paled in size compared to the burrito. If I recall correctly, the burrito was $ 4.50 which is a pretty good deal considering the size.
