Zero stars. They’re fuckin rude as fuck here. They need some better customer service skills. I’ve never had someone talk to me like I was an idiot, they really don’t care here. Take your money elsewhere.

I loved the milk tea they have. Also all the flavored. I had a funnel cake with all the works too. It was delicious.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this location. I felt so disrespected by management and how poorly operation is here. Not only do they poison their customers by heating up the milk tea in PLASTICCONTAINER they are horrible with there customer service. The supervisor/lead(chick with the short hair and constantly has a permanent B**** RESTINGFACE) has no customer Service skills nor care about customer. I brought up my concern and how awful my experience and the supervisor/lead just flat out gave me a rude evil look and began to ignore me. AREYOUSERIOUS? Do you think I’m blind… Do you think I can’t see how you tried to play off by ignoring me. This just infuriated me more! This is completely out of line and I won’t stand someone treated me like that. I will never spend my hard earned money at this establishment ever. To make matters works they call their superior over the phone to help rectify this situation… By offering me a free drink for my inconvenience. WOW. Thanks for trying your«BEST“to save a customer. *BRAVO* I’ll just take my business over to Cool Tea Bar across the parking lot.

The 10 of us decided to head over to Tapioca Express after our gelato filling at Marco Polo. Not sure why we thought we needed more dessert/food, but we just kept eating. We showed up around 8PM and each ordered a drink. I decided to add an order of beignets(4 pieces), egg puff with condense milk and salt/pepper calamari with sweet potato combo to our order as well. Not that we needed more food since we’d just had phở around 6PM. A bunch of piggies. Lol We all thought the calamari and beignets were very well made. Fresh and piping hot! Flavor was also excellent. The egg puff on the other hand was just ok. The flavor was a little off. I’ve had their piña colada snow bubbles at other locations before so I’ve always enjoyed their drinks, but I don’t recall other locations having food/desserts so it was a nice addition. They definitely deserve 4 stars for food, drinks and service, but there was one girl in particular, who we were told was the supervisor, was super rude. She was giving everyone an attitude for every little thing. If you ask any questions, ask for forks & plates, or anything at all, she would give you a rude response and roll her eyes at you. How did she become the supervisor? I guess some people are just unhappy with themselves…

The worst Tapioca express I’ve ever been to. Staff are all rude, smart asses and ditsy. «I think» is the only vocabulary words they know. And apparently they can’t remake your drink if they don’t make it correctly because it costs them money. Well here’s a tip: make it correct the first time! Also they totally skimp you now and seem to never have anything anymore.

This is the prefect to go if you are on a diet. The drinks alone will make you not want to eat. Regardless of the specialty drink you order, what you see in the picture rarely resembles the actual order. The drinks come out sloppy, leaking all over. The bobas are soaked in brown sugar and the taste overwhelms everything else. If you are unlucky enough to order the eggets, you’ll notice how plain the flavor is or lack thereof. I’m really surprised that a franchise like this will allow someone with no taste buds to make the drinks.

Tapioca express used to be my go to boba spot cause of their drink consistency and boba but I was really disappointed tonight. There was a long wait because of large orders before me and the cashiers failed to acknowledge customers waiting in line. I waited about 20 minutes for my Jasmine Milk Tea and it was not worth it. The drink was good but the boba was among the worst!(Yeah I take my boba dead serious) It was completely flavorless which is very unlike my previous experiences here. I’m sad to say I won’t be returning to tapioca express after tonight.

Sad but no longer coming here. They first off do not have Almond Jelly, main reason why I come to this tea spot versus the many dozens of others in the area. I came to buy 3 drinks and they made a mistake and didn’t put aloe vera in the drinks. Asked them to remake it, they just pealed off the cover, added aloe vera in and recapped it. The lady that put it in had her hands all over the straw and put it back after fondling with the straw. It was very unhygienic. Mind you that I left already and had to go back and find parking again. I don’t know why Asian businesses do business the way they do but it’s sad that is the stereotype. Well, onto different places, good while it lasted. There are better places for tea if you love tea, like placed you can choose the type of tea, not just green or black.

3 stars because it’s nothing special. Close and convenient, that’s about it. There’s always a strong odor of bleach when you walk in — it’s nice to know they’re keeping it clean, but too many chemicals can be a bad too. Also, I really HATE the $ 10 minimum for a credit card purchase. I ordered 2 drinks which totaled $ 8.47 but they wouldn’t allow me to use my card so I bailed. They basically lost that sale to the Thai place 2 doors down.

The tea was alright, I got the Lavender milk tea and it was a bit too sugary for me. I ordered the egg puffs with nutella and it took them way too long to make it. It was sort of hard compared to Quickly’s, and Quickly’s egg puffs aren’t even legitimate either. The cashier looked tired and seemed to give off a moody vibe. She also did not seem to have much knowledge about the drinks when I asked about them. Sure, they have a variety of drinks and food, but perhaps that’s the problem. They have too much to handle and too much to make, so they can make more mistakes that way.

Back when this Tapioca Express was the only boba drink store in the area, you dealt with the long lines and shoddy customer service because, dang it, you needed your sugar fix. Now, with no less than 3 other boba drink places in the same complex, they don’t have the luxury of getting all of the customers anymore. And thank capitalism for that. Went to another boba place for drinks, and since those places didn’t serve food, went here for the fried food. They were accommodating in switching out the chicken in their fries and chicken combo for tofu, but that’s where the stars end.(One star for location since they’re by my dentist, another for providing snacks to go with your drinks) This TapEx used to provide the sweet chili sauce and ketchup on the counter for your use, but now for anything past their 1 sauce included(not including ketchup) is an additional 35 cent charge. The sweet soy sauce that comes with the tofu had MOLD, which I pomptly gave back to them(sorry, no pictures, but it still happened). I hope it was an isolated incident, but if you have product that is developing mold, what else shady is going on with your store? And since the mold was white against a black-ish sauce, why was this not noticed??? Enjoy at your discretion. $ 10 minimum for cards, even though one of the employees used my card on a $ 7.23 order.

Came here to order food because we got drinks at cool tea bar which as right around the corner, we ordered the popcorn chicken combo which had season fries with it, $ 9??? Uhh go take a look at my picture and see if it’s worth the $ 9. Barely any fries. Anyway we have the girl $ 8 and asked if we can put the rest on card, she goes no sorry card is 10 $ minimum which was fine but then this was what we got…

Gross and dirty place. Walls are peeling, there is gum on the wall, everything is sticky. The cashier looked like she hated her job and everyone– very cold. Their drinks are good though.

I used to love this place. The teas tasted really good and I used to be a regular. However from about 6 months on their management probably changed. The employees are not well groomed and presentable. They don’t smile, the guy making the drinks has a huge fro with long hair and dirty nails. No hair cap on, no gloves it’, he scratches his head, it’s so unhygienic! Get someone cleaner!
Besides that the way they make their drinks probably changed too. They taste very syrupy. Like straight up syrup with a nasty after taste. When this place opened it used to have a couch too and some playing machines on each table. Then they took them off, chaged the seating too. Then finally changed the way their employees look and finally changed the drink. Sad because I used to love this place. They lost a costumer.

I’m never around this area, but when I am, I always come here for boba. I generally don’t like coming here though just because I feel the service feels rushed and unwelcoming. The workers here don’t greet you and just stare at you to order– so it feels like uh ok… I’ll have –blank-. And did the prices get higher? I do give props to the good tasting drinks though.

Tapioca Express in this specific location is not satisfying at all. I ordered the strawberry snow bubble with pearls and there were strawberry bits in my drink which were not supposed to be there. My father had a huge stomach ache that lasted for the entire day after he drank the Vietnamese coffee with pearls. The drinks here are extremely sweet and I would not recommend it.

Love me some Tapioca Express everywhere I go! We got the Mixed Fruit Yogurt Frost and the Watermelon Icy. They used fresh watermelon and it tasted so refreshing. Normally other places have the problem of not blending the watermelon well enough and in the end it comes out with chunks of watermelon and liquid rather than a «slush» consistency. So for the first time, in really satisfied with my Watermelon Slushy. :) Service was good, the cashier lady was friendly and had good humor.

Not the best milk tea around, but drinks are good, and it’s convenient! I’ve ordered various drinks from tapex chains all across San Jose, but my usuals include their jasmine milk tea, regular milk tea, tiger milk tea, peach green tea, and passion fruit green tea. Their drinks are on the sweeter side, and you can definitely tell drinks are pre-made. I don’t mind all too much so I continue to come back since it’s convenient for me and their drinks are cheaper than other places.

Tapioca Express has never been at the top of my milk tea list. But I have to give them one thing. They are super convenient in SJ cuz they’re everywhere! I was at the plaza picking up take out, so dropped by Tapioca Express to get my boba fix on. Ended up ordering Coffee milk tea with boba and coffee jelly. The drink satisfied my craving, but I always want their drinks to be stronger. More tea or coffee flavor. And their balls aren’t as soft and chewy as I would like. Since their tea is okay and in the end, Tapioca Express did satisfy my craving, 3 stars it is!

This place is all right. The workers here can be rude and raises. When I use to go here there’s always a lot of teeny boppers. I don’t really drink tea so I always get a strawberry smooth. Its to sweet in my opinion. Since I been going to Jazen Tea more now. I love there strawberry smooth more. They use to have game machines that you can put only in a play.
