Your choices are limited here… Very limited… They only have street tacos and some toppings(typical salsas, radish, lime, etc). I spent about $ 10 on five small tacos and a bottle water. For a snack it is not a bad place to get a couple tacos but for a meal I want a plate with sides of beans, rice, salad — you won’t find that here. I left a little disappointed for that reason, but the tacos are fairly good quality, not amazing, but good. The atmosphere is not much better than sitting on plastic chairs outside of a taco truck. The restaurant is ugly, dirty and uncomfortable. I think I would prefer a taco truck, because they usually have a more variety with choices of burritos and tortas. I don’t really consider a plate of tacos a full meal. I probably won’t go back.

This place has the closest thing to mexican street tacos! I love the cabeza and the lengua

My review is for their late night taco stand.(Now not located in front of their store any more) The BEST tacos. I will even brave taking drunken people in the car who are passed out or yelling at me here. The Carne asada is so tender and juicy! This is my go-to meat every time.(The other choices they have look great as well — chicken, pork, and I think tongue). They have grilled onions you can have added to your tacos, plus whole grilled jalapenos you can ask for. The stand also has beets(?), guacamole, 2 different salsas, lime, and diced onions and cilantro that can top your tacos. So good. These tacos beat the crap out of «authentic» tacos I had in Cabo. Haha. I make it a point to come here late nights!

I agree with Ben. As a matter of fact, I think these tacos can compete with any tacos in the bay area. Definitely comparable to El Paisa, which I consider to be the best tacos in the south bay. We had them cater a small gathering at the complex i live at and was shocked at how good they were. The carne asada was well cooked and continually heated and soaked in the natural juices as they are cooked. I’m not sure if this is how they do it at their shop, but that’s how their taco stand worked. Add in a tasty guacamole salsa and grilled onions and you have a great combination for awesome tacos! In my search for the best tacos in the bay area, this small place is a diamond in the rough… don’t take my word for it… give it a try… and come back and Unilocal about it! Happy Eating!

Located right at the exit of northbound 101 exit onto Alum Rock Ave. is this little known taqueria wedged into a tiny miniscule strip mall. The food is ultra cheap and good. A regular burrito is under $ 4 and their menu includes breakfast as well since they open at 10am every day. They also serve tortas, quesadillas, and street style, two bite tacos. The inside isn’t too much to look as seating is limited to about 25 – 30 people but the meats were cooked well. This place is family run by a local couple so I try to give them business since they don’t seem the type to maintain a website or have a Unilocal page… well, hopefully this page will get them some extra business! This business also does catering as well. They have a taco stand which can be brought to special events where they can serve and cook tacos at a flat rate per person. Call them to schedule times and availability.
