We came the first time it was great service and great food. Last week we came, sat down, waited, nobody came to help us. They look at our table and look away. I just thought maybe they were busy so we waited and waited. 1 person walked in, he ask«for here or to-go», then look at our table but didnt come to help us. After 15 minutes sitting at the table, we just walked up and left. No service was provided that day so I have to give it a 1 star. It seems like every new place that opens up provides good services at the beginning and then it just dies. Thats not how you do business. Wont be coming back ever again.

Like everyone else said, this restaurant is very small and their sign seriously been blocked from other big signs next to it. nice atmosphere, but somehow when i walked in there is a smell that kinda goose me up. Food overall was ok 4 stars for their banh beo, 3 stars for their bun bo hue &1 star for the service. I think this is a family own business so they don’t really care much about customers. Couple people worked in the front sometime even just stared at the customer which i thought it was weird, I wanted to order more food but no one was around so decided to just pay & leave. On average they only worth 2.6 stars

This restaurant appears to be pretty new taking place of a previously unsuccessful business that I can only assume didn’t offer anything to bring in the crowds. The restaurant is clean and looks very modern, but feels just a TADBIT narrow given the real estate design. My family and I stopped by around dinner time and it was busy, but not crowded. We were seated immediately and given menus. Thanh Noi Quan offers traditional Hue Vietnamese food and they even have phở. I came here because I was craving Banh Beo and they sell 5 pieces for $ 3.50. I ordered 2 servings while my dad got a bowl of Bun Bo Hue. My sister ordered a mango smoothie with pearls, but they ran out of pearls and my sister said the smoothie tasted too artificial and sweet to be enjoyable. The food came out in a timely manner and my Banh Beo was nicely presented — go check out the pictures. Each little serving is sprinkled with dried shrimp and a crispy pork skin. As traditionally served, they provide you with a fish dipping sauce that wasn’t savory and sweet enough for me. The water fern cake itself was all right being easy to eat. It wasn’t too salty or doughy. What I was really pleasantly surprised about was the flavor of the broth of the Bun Bo Hue. It had the right amount of kick and spice that any fan of the dish would appreciate. The meat itself was soft, fatty, and there were no bad surprises. Everything here is pretty decent and I will return in the future to try other dishes. You should definitely give Thanh Noi Quan a try if you’re looking for a place to eat/try Hue Vietnamese food.

After seeing this place advertised on SBTN my mother and I decided to have a nice day out. Every went well until we ended up here. They claim to have authentic bun Bo hue but that’s a lie. It’s flavorless and contains a load of Msg. No thanks. My mother also tried their banh it ram. It was at least 2 days old and was fried before but I guess it wasn’t sold and us being the first customers that day we got the other days leftovers. It was a ugly mustard yellow color. Banh beo was old because I can see the sides curling up from being left out. It’s cheap and it’s what you’ll get. Cheap food for a cheap price. Never again.

Came here specifically for Bun Bo Hue based on Lilian L’s recommendation. Thankyou Lilian! This place definitely delivered! The Bun Bo Hue was very very good. Thanh Noi Quan is now my go-to place for Bun Bo Hue. The location is in the same short strip mall spot on tully as Han Kee, next to a foot massage place. Parking was not an issue. We went in early Sunday afternoon and the 15 table small restaurant was full except for 2 tables. We were immediately seated and were surprisingly given 5 whole minutes to look at the menu(rare for a viet restaurant), but we knew what we wanted before we even walked in. That said, I’m glad we got a menu — the menu has some really good photos of the food, and they also have photos of many menu items posted on the wall. I was getting really hungry looking at all the photos of food! BONUS! — they had Banh Beo and jack fruit salad. We ordered up some of that along with a bowl of Bun Bo Hue to share. It turned out to be the perfect amount of food for two. The Banh Beo was pretty good! It’s a little thinner in thickness in the little dishes than some other go-to Banh Beo places and a tad more expensive for a plate of 5, but let me tell you — the nuoc mam(fish sauce) that came with the Banh Beo was one of the best I’ve had. AND they gave you just enough in a little cup! PERFECT! Much better than a giant small bowl of fish sauce where half gets spilled or wasted. It was very tasty with small diced pieces of two different peppers and garlic. The jackfruit salad impressed me too. It was warm with some meat mixed in(meat was not expected, but good) and had whole peanuts, cilantro, and fried pork rind pieces. I’m usually not a jackfruit fan, but this was good and we ate all of it up. The shining star though was the Bun Bo Hue! Lilian L. did not lie! Comparing to some other places such as Kim Long or numerous Phở Tau Bay locations, the BBH here at Thanh Noi Quan had all the familiar components, but was a slightly lighter colored broth and not quite as spicy hot. Little or no MSG either! I had no MSG head buzz at all after eating. The broth was lighter in taste as well and EXTREMELY fragrant and well balanced in flavor. The broth is the main reason I love Bun Bo Hue so much and prefer it over Phở. I was really surprised it was that good and that I noticed a much better taste than other BBH I have tried. We finished every last drop and I’m glad that the cooler weather is now here so I can get my Bun Bo Hue fix on all fall and winter on those cold nights when I just want some spicy comfort Bun Bo Hue goodness!

Eh… This place is not as good as Quan So 1 or Hue. The Banh Beo and the Banh nam was too soft. At least it was hot and not cold like my Banh It. I would not return to eat the Banh It, Banh Beo and the Banh Nam. I would return and give it one more try. I would try the bun bo hue or the banh canh

Most authentic Bun Bo Hue that you can ever get at a Viet restaurant. If you think Bun Bo Hue An Nam is authentic, you are a disgrace(maybe you never had a real Bun Bo Hue) Bun Bo Hue is all about flavors, a harmony. a balance. Spicyness should not overpower the natural flavors of the meat. Yet, it should be spicy. Background: My mother is from Hue and she makes the best Bun Bo Hue. Everyone else makes it like really really bad. or just not authentic, good but that’s no Bun Bo Hue. It takes hours to make a really beautiful savory batch, first you have to bake onions and things for awhile. It takes her over three hours the to cook it and she lets it marinate over night and then the next day, you prepare the meat. - REVIEW: I got the Bun Bo Hue with Cha Tom(Vietnamese shrimp sausage) instead of the meat. I’m not sure if it was the Cha Tom, but there was this really fragant smell that was not giner, lemongrass or from the onion. Even my mom couldn’t figure out what it was. My dad however did not notice a smell. The soup was addicting. I shall try it again, but with the usual meat and all to see if theres a difference. Tip: Getting filet with Bun Bo Hue is not authentic and just weird tasting so I would try to avoid it(my brother and parents said it was weird.) edit: NOV3rd = Tip if you don’t like shrimp paste or can’t handle too much of it, this might not be for you. I didn’t notice it, but my dad did and he mentioned it today. [: He is not from Hue.

This place just opened in July on the 1st i believe. Small place not to big but with tables. Once side seem like its for big parties and the other is 4 or less. The food was average see pictures i’ve posted. One of my favorite was the banh canh tom cau. One con about it was that it wasn’t too hot just warm. It would be better if it was hotter. I like the flavor in it. The banh beo is average too. Avocado shake could use a little more sweetening. Pro: Food came out pretty fast Con: Food was not as hot Tables not cleaned: even if there isn’t people in the place each table should be cleaned. I saw about 5 – 6 tables in which there was finished plates left but no one sitting there. GO try it and tell me how you feel!
