The Secret Brush

My first encounter with Jen was for my friends wedding. She did such an amazing job with the brides hair and all the bridesmaids we were all throughly impressed! Then I found out her shop was very close to my house, considering I was currently driving to Los Gatos, I thought it was worth try. I have been there twice and have been extremely happy both times! I get so many compliments on my hair now, I’m so happy I took the chance and landed myself an amazing hair dresser.

NEW HAIR, NEW ME!
I was so desperate for a change, I went to so many different stylists, some told me «once you go black, you can never go back» and the rest were too impatient to spend the extra time to get me the exact shade of red I’ve been dreaming about. BUT then I found @thesecretbrush and she proved me wrong! She spent most of yesterday and today to make sure we got the exact shade, and I’m so happy with the results. My hair looks ten times better than before, it even feels healthier!

Jennifer did my hair for my wedding and I absolutely loved it. Jennifer was very sweet to work with and was very professional. Jennifer’s assistant was also amazing and my entire family loved their beautiful work.

Jen is the only person I can trust with my hair! She is amazingly talented and up to date on techniques and style.
She uses the best products for coloring (unlike most salons that try to save money by using cheaper coloring products giving bad results).
My hair is the healthiest it has been in over ten years!

I can’t say enough about Jen. She is simply amazing. She basically gives you what you want as long as it is humanly possible, and if she can’t, it’s because she doesn’t want to ruin your hair. I always leave feeling completely satisfied, and somewhat surprised that she pulled off what I wanted slightly better than I had excepted. She has an eye for color and knows how to get the exact shading and depth that your hair can transform into.
I recommend everyone to her.

Jennifer’s salon is located in her house. She’s converted her garage into a gorgeous salon. Making an appointment was fairy simple. She prefers texts over calls. I sent her some pictures to give her an idea of what I was looking for.
My appointment was at 5:30 on Tuesday. I arrived promptly at 5:15. Jennifer didn’t start on me till 6:30. The one hour wait was excessive especially considering I had made an appointment. But Jennifer did apologize multiple times and said it wasn’t normal for her to run this late. I guess a previous client took longer than expected. She also offered me a complimentary treatment to make up for it. However, she never actually GAVE a me the treatment. That part was disappointing
I must say that Jennifer is an exceptional stylist. She spent 3.5 hours with me! She didn’t complain and walked me through everything. I got root coverage and full balayage.
The balayage was good. I wanted to lighten my hair from mostly virgin black. She told me from the start I wouldn’t get the results in the first round. My hair turned out a beautiful caramel color, nicely blended. The root coverage was not so great. I only have a handful of grays but they didn’t get covered. I have contacted her and hope to go back to get the grays corrected
Overall Jennifer is very good stylist and she knows what she’s doing. She spends time with her client and makes their vision come true. I will define going back and also referring friends there.
