Love this place. The café is so cute and they have a variety of desserts and drinks to choose from. My go to if I just want to have catch up time with a friend.

The Sweet Corner is a quaint, little shop hidden in the back of Little Saigon. If it isn’t for the hipster café vibe and lovely artwork(for cute Instagram pics) that keep you coming back, then it’s the seemingly endless selection of drinks. From the milk teas to frappes to smoothies to Italian sodas, this place has something for everyone! Not to mention there’s dainty desserts as well. If you get a chance, it’s definitely worth the try! P. S. My personal fave is the earl grey milk tea.

Super cute place with some seating and a nice display case of pretty desserts. The walls have chalk art and has a café vibe. They have a huge, extensive, almost overwhelming menu — anything you could want, they probably have. I come here often because I live really close, so it’s hard to say no to boba if I’m craving it even a little. I’ve brought my friends here too and they are head over heels with it, especially since they don’t get to come as frequently as I do. They always get the honeydew milk tea, either 50−75% sweet. Doesn’t taste artificial at all, actually very refreshing. I’m not a fan of the fruit milk teas, so I always get jasmine milk tea(my go-to anywhere), 50% sweet with light ice(I would ask for no ice but they charge a small fee — I think 50 cents, if you want to fill it up to the top). I like the stronger tea taste, but you can always adjust the sweetness. The taro milk(not milk tea) here is SOGOOD. They use Perka as their rewards system, a bit inconvenient because they used to be on Five Stars but switched about a year and a half ago. Their drinks are slightly pricey, around $ 5 – 6 depending on what you add in your drink.

Now that there’s more boba places popping up in the same area, Sweet Corner has got quite the competition now. Since their flavors are usually all syrup-y, I think some customers prefer the freshness and organic ingredients of the other competitors. This place will always have a sweet spot in my heart. The red velvet latte/frappé, vanilla milk tea, guava milk tea are irreplaceable.

If a friend hadn’t driven me here I probably wouldn’t have found this spot. It’s really tiny in this shop and I felt like I couldn’t stand and look at the menu without being in someone else’s way. Got my plain jasmine milk tea with pearls and was a happy camper. The coffee milk tea was really good. Also tried the macrons which were $ 12 a box and didn’t taste all that amazing to me.

Love coming here for late night boba if I don’t want to drive too far from campus. Sweet Corner is open later than some boba places in the area and offer a large variety in their menu. Recommendations: Build your own che cup(coconut water/milk dessert drink) White peach green tea w/no milk(hot or cold!, both are great) Strawberry green tea Honeyginger tea(only available hot, but great for persistent coughs) Remember to use the Perka app if you frequent this place! It’s like fivestars, but not fivestars.

My first time coming here was a positive experience. Would consider coming back. Used the time here to study and being on my laptop. I believe they did have outlets to charge your devices. Kinda like being a local Starbucks but more easy going and fun to be at. Pros: The décor is really artsy and decorative. Sitting is limited but snatch one once you see someone leaving! Tons of Pastries to choose from, but I have yet to order any. Music isn’t too load wear you can’t talk to the person next to you or across. Which I can handle and still enjoy my company. Milk tea: I have the hazel nut milk tea, it was average. Didn’t finish it, a pretty big portion. Drank half of it. Might try another drink next time. Although they did have a lot to choose from such as juices, expressos and cold teas.

The Sweet Corner is always crowded whenever I come, probably because it is located in Vietnam Town. This place is pretty hidden, it’s at the very corner. The inside is super cute! But there is limited seats which is why I always grab my drink and go. I normally get the Lychee or Peach Tea. Because these flavors actually taste pretty similar, I prefer the Peach one here. Unlike most places, it doesn’t have the artificial syrup taste which is great. In addition to drinks, they also have a good selection of desserts! However, I feel that they are a bit overpriced. But if you’re looking for something delicious, I’d recommend the Chocolate Cake. It hands down one of the best I have ever tasted! Unfortunately it’s small and would be a very quick bite for some. If you’re ever walking in Grand Century, I’d recommend stopping by!

Ha, I’ve been here 8 times the past year and a half and have yet to review it. It’s one of those bad Unilocal habits where you go so often you don’t really think about writing a review. This place is Vietnamese owned. Their menu is E-X-T-E-N-S-I-V-E, you have the all the types of che like che ba mau etc. but you also have the other types of MT. The variety is definitely endless. I didn’t quite like the che ba mau as it was artificial tasting injected with pounds of sugar. I actually tried a bunch of other drinks and didnt quite like the place until my cousin said that the White Peach Milk Tea is really good. And now it’s forever the only drink I’ll get from here. White peach milk tea(~5.50): Blast of white peach taste which is quite refreshing. The boba is actually made quite well and cooked to perfection. The name will not steer you wrong. Most of their desserts that i’ve tried(cakes, macaron, etc) are SUPERUNBEARABLYSWEEEEEEET. So if you’ve got an extreme sweet tooth, sweet corner is definitely for you!(but keep in mind, i have the BIGGEST sweet tooth, so if this is too sweet for me, keep in mind how you may tolerate if you’re not that into sweets)

Heard about this place many times but finally got try it out today. I was in the area with my friends after eating and we wanted to grab some tea so we we’re led here! This place is very hidden at the back part of Vietnam town. The interior of this place is super fancy and cute. I felt like I was in Paris(assuming thats the theme they’re going for) :) They have a big menu here so I didn’t really know what to get so I asked the cashier for a good recommendation for a milk tea. She told me to get the white peach milk tea so I got it with regular boba. My bf wanted ice cream so he ordered the cookie monster inspired macaron ice cream. The tea was okay but it tasted a bit watered down, so it wasn’t nothing special for me. I could definitely tell by the taste that they’re more towards an herbal tea taste for their milk teas. This might not be my go to place for tea, but it’s an eye catching store with many desserts and teas to choose from. I heard the crème brûlée is good here so I might just come back to try that!

Definitely a cute French inspired Asian desert place and luckily the place was empty on a Sunday morning. The thing about Vietnamese food is that I think it’s great and top notch culinary cuisine if done right, but I’ve always felt disappointed with Vietnamese desert(Che). I mean it’s good because it’s sweet but who hates sugar? Not me! I didn’t try any of their pastries, cakes, or macaroons, so I got the che with jackfruit, tiny boba like balls. For those who don’t know, che is an Asian tapioca drink mixed with syrup, coconut milk, and all sorts of interesting color jelly. Tasted my friends che and it was with red bean and taro instead which was tastier than mine. My tapioca was ok, but not worth coming back for. Will give it another shot with the other westernized deserts instead. I still pick Sheng Kee Chinese pastries over Vietnamese che for desert.

The Sweet Corner has a wide selection of bakes(macaroon, pastries), teas, coffee, che, boba teas. smoothies, etc. not much seating due to high rent commercial center. ‘ drink: cam 3?(4.55) 25% sugar –red, mung, all kinds of beans, pandan jelly, etc… no coconut syrup. nor any flavoring, just very sweet. disappointing –least satisfying che of all. drips: –not sure what specialty is. –shop is at far end of commercial center.

I been to this spot a couple times and I can’t say I love it but it’s a quick fix for when I am lazy. They do have a lot of variety of beverages such has tea, milk tea, smoothies, coffee etc. I do enjoy their desserts, they have. Very tasty. I haven’t found a milk tea flavor that hits the spot yet or makes me want to come back for more. Parking is usually easy to find, the place is located in the back of Vietnam town. The place is always tidy.

Came here last night and it was a good busy rush. I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea and wanted matcha pudding but they said they didn’t have it. Disappointed, I opted for the egg pudding instead. The drink itself was not good. There wasn’t a strong tea flavor and it was lightly bitter. The egg pudding also wasn’t tasty. It tasted more milky than normal and the color was hardly yellow at all. I didn’t enjoy my drink while walking around Grand Century to see festivities and fireworks. 2 stars, but I’ll give 3 for looking pretty.

Ambience is great here. Their décor is so so cute. I’ve been here a few times and I like their milk tea. However the tea used isn’t like Taiwanese milk tea but similar to places like Bambu and has a viet milk tea flavor. Still, nice place to come to!

This place is an adorable French-Viet café in the heart of Viet Town! Came here as one of our«pitstops» after stopping by Soyful. We were pretty full already, but decided on sharing a colossal cheesecake and some cream puffs. Their cream puffs only come in a set of 5, so we decided to get the whole set versus none. I mean, #treatyoself…do people even say that anymore? I don’t remember how much the total was, but that means that the pricing wasn’t horrendously expensive… but I don’t think it was considered cheap either. I loved the service, hand-drawn chalk art that decorated the walls of the café, and the delectables that were screaming at me to have a bite! They also have coffees, teas, and various baked goods in addition to the ones in the display case. The only thing I’d change about my experience is the seating. I know people come into cafes like these for a few minutes… maybe a small short hours after catching up/getting their coffee and leaving. But their seats inside were way too short! I felt like I had to maintain a rigid back position the whole time to keep from sliding out of the booth seating! Anyhow, there are plenty of outside tables/chairs since this place is located at the back side/corner of the turnaround.(It’s on the same side as Tea Lyfe). I’d definitely recommend Francophiles to stop by here. They have a clean unisex bathroom(BROWNIE, or should I say CHEESECAKE points for them)! Plus their service staff was super sweet, efficient, and smiley. That’s always a plus!

I rarely come to Sweet Corner because of three reasons. 1. The drinks and desserts aren’t that great. I could go to Soyful Desserts for better drinks like the creamy milk tea. 2. Horrible service; they should honestly take a course on customer satisfaction. Because I’d give them a C-. 3. Parking sucks here. I only come here occasionally bc my friends like the diabetic sweet drinks here and I tag along. Every single thing I get here is not satisfactory.

This is my go-to place for boba whenever I’m in San Jose!!! I absolutely love this place! They have quite a selection of drinks and desserts you can choose from but I usually only stick with my favorite two. 1. Mango green tea — my absolute favvv! Just the right amount of sweetness and doesn’t overpower the tea. 2. Durian smoothie — so goooood! Tastes like they use fresh durian… so yummy. Service is always nice and friendly. ***Take note that you need your receipt in order to pick up your drink… so don’t throw it away! Definitely will be back and hopefully I’ll try something different next time :)

I love dessert drinks so my senses are finely tuned to sniff out the best in the area at all times. My latest find I’m happy to say, is The Sweet Corner off Story road in south san jose. Even though this shop of sweets is tucked away in the back of a shopping plaza that is only partially occupied with businesses, you will find a line out of the door on many nights during the week and weekend. The inside is very paris café like. There are cute chairs and tables and chalk art on the far wall. The menu board will take some time to read over because there are so many categories and options to choose from. My personal favorite is a dessert drink that has fresh coconut strips, basil, grass jelly, pandan jelly, all swimming in coconut juice. It’s refreshing and relatively healthy. I’ve also tasted the different«jitos» and they were yummy and refreshing. Although it may take you a while to decide on what to order it will be quick and painless to pay with your credit/debit card because their system is super efficient. I have found the service to be generally good, although because some drinks are complicated to make, it make take a bit longer than you might expect. All in all, a great shop to satisfy your sweets craving.

Since my sweet tooth is almost as loud and proud as my coffee tooth(#CoffeeTooth) my radar did the Carlton(dance)after two of my most recent visits to The Sweet Corner in South San Jose. Their menu is dense, fluffy and choke full of dessert goodness. I have literally tried all of their«–jitos», fresh juices with sparkling soda, and they’re a simple and light dessert drink to grab and go. The interior is very parisian café cutesy and although there isn’t ample seating there are tables available. Service is mostly speedy and has always been friendly. Can’t wait to try their other menu options soon.
