Great food excellent service. I got the recommendation Pork Shank. It was so freakin good! Chocolate mouse thing was also very good. We tried Kimchi, for the 1st time and loved it. Only thing we didn’t like was my husband’s Sirloin Strip. The spices just didn’t go with beef. Nutmeg or something that tasted like Christmas. It was also med. well instead of med rare. We just decided when we come back, we will leave steak up to a real steakhouse and order something else. We really liked this place.

This review is strictly for brunch! The table has a really nice ambiance inside and they have great outdoor seating too! We came on a weekday and did not wait at all. I got the lemon ricotta pancakes and the BF got the chilaquiles. The eggs come sous vide on the chilaquiles– which I don’t recommend if you don’t like soft poached eggs but they let you modify the cooking method. The pancakes came with chantilly cream and it was scrumptious. I think these would be even better if they topped them off with some lemon curd. We also got the beignets to share with came with the lemon curd– perfect appetizer! The boyf throughly enjoyed his chilaquiles too :) We didn’t get to try any drinks this time but last time I was here(which was pretty log ago) they serve a KILLER hot chocolate. Sadly, our waitress informed us that they only had it for a short amount of time this year. Will definitely want to try the mimosas next time! Our server was Laura– she was super friendly and the service was great. The prices are more than fair. No crazy prices like SF. This is easily the best brunch spot in SJ(not that they even have much competition) I’ll be back to try dinner!

high rating from Unilocal and I’m not sure why, maybe we ordered the wrong items or dinner is better than brunch, long wait, waitress is not as attended as she should be, pricey, and food’s not memorable i’m not sure if i should give it a chance for dinner yet and that’s why i gave it another star for the incertainty of going back

Took my wife and I to ‘The Table«Restaurant today for brunch. It was a warm day with a fairly long line that wrapped along the side of the restaurant. my wife and I wanted to try this restaurant after seeing it on the program«Check Please” on KQED. Everyone on the show gave it great reviews and great food. After a 35 to 45 minute wait we were paged via cellular phone that our table was ready. Lora was our waitress and even in a loud busy restaurant she was prompt to wait on us. I ordered the chicken biscuit with a sunny side up egg and wedge fries and chicken. My wife ordered the special omelet which had wild mushrooms. Prior to our meal we had the lemon beignets, chicken liver tartine and house made pickles. The mimosa were endless. The food was well worth the wait. We had a great time!

Had a reservation for dinner on a weekend with a friend. Our server was very friendly and was very knowledgeable with the menu, which is actually seasonal. We sat right in the middle of the restaurant and the ambiance here was noisy and dim-light, which made it hard to see and hear my friend. Notable dishes here were the beet salad and the bone marrow. Surprisingly, I wasnt’ expecting the bone marrow to be kind of sweet. The portions to price ratio wasn’t that great and I didn’t leave feeling quite full, which is kind of good because I had lots of room for dessert and wine later. The quality of the food was mediocre for the price as well.

I’ve always wanted to try this place for brunch, but can never make it or the wait was just too long, so we decided on dinner instead. Their menu is short & simple which we liked. Our server was professional and she recommended some pretty good drinks! We ordered the roasted bone marrow with sour apples and the selection of cured meats with dill pickles and chicharonnes. Both were delicious! I wish we had ordered another order of the bone marrow. For my entrée I ordered the braised beef cheeks! Really tender and juicy! Overall a great dinner with the cosuins and my sister. I would definitely come back and try more!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time. Really cute patio and set up inside, located in the heart of downtown willow glen. I met a girlfriend here for brunch this past Sunday and I have to say I was rather disappointed. I had a few bloody Mary’s and it seems like it was made with a pre made mix. Don’t get me wrong they were super strong and I was feeling good after two however it was missing something. I had the special omelette which was sautéed spinach, mushroom, onion and jack cheese folded inside liquid eggs. I hate when places use liquid egg products, but the inside of the omelette was quite tasty. The hash browns that came with my meal were cold and nothing special. We were seated super fast however service was slow. Our waitress recommended the monkey bread while we wait which sounded delish however we didn’t receive it until just before our meal. We were starving at this point. Oh and to top it off the couple seated next to us came after us and literally was served and left before our food arrived. Cute area, friendly staff, convenient location however for the price and lack of sweet menu choices and slow service I’d probably try somewhere else next time.

*Review based on weekend brunch only* I know my check-ins don’t say so, but I’ve been here enough times to try everything that sounded appealing to me on the menu so I think it’s fair that I write something after sampling everything. I really, really like The Table’s brunch menu. The ones that were really good the first time, consistently stayed good the next time I went. The wait could be hell sometimes if you go later than 12. Could be at least 45mins-1hr. Reserve if you can, or come when it opens. The good thing about the wait here is that you can explore the downtown strip while you wait for the text telling you the good news that your table is ready! You’ve got about 5 minutes to get back to the restaurant. I like to start with the sugar dusted beignets with lemon curd. Then, listen to the special fluffy omelette of the day and take 5 minutes to myself to decide what I want. I’ve found my favorite dishes to be(in order) *Corned beef hash: Everything about this plate screams food coma, but what a wonderful coma it will be. The potatoes and peppers and beef all together creates a delicious combo. AND a sous vide egg on top! The beef melts in your mouth. AND it comes with a side of seasonally fresh fruits. Every piece is so perfectly sweet. One time they had papaya, pineapples and kiwi and I was pleasantly surprised at how refreshing each and every one of them tasted. *Fried Chicken Benedict: The chicken is fried to a perfect crispy level and the inside is still moist af. Have not met a dried piece of chicken yet. It’s amazing. The biscuit on the bottom is buttery deliciousness. And of course, the perfectly cooked egg on top of it all and a extra crispy potatoes for me. *Chilaquiles: Tortilla cut into strips to not get all soggy after being drenched in sauce. I wish it was thicker chips because my mid meal, my chips are mostly soggy. The sauce and verde salsa is yum and the pork is tender af. The servers are usually nice. I’ve only had one or two experiences where the servers take forever to take your order, and bring out your coffee when it’s not super busy. Or they are not as friendly and patient, but the nice ones make up for that most of the time.

As a seasoned bruncher who mostly brunches in SF and East Bay, this was a wonderful first brunch experience in SJ. We came here on a Saturday, right before 2pm(when they close the kitchen). The hostess was super friendly and made us aware that the kitchen was closing soon. She gave us a menu while we were waiting so we could take a look ahead of time and seated us immediately. I ordered the classic Eggs Benedict, while my friend ordered the smoked salmon sandwich. I loved my eggs benedict on thick«Acme green onion slab.» I loved the bread that they chose. And I thought it was an interesting spin on the normal eggs benedict. I like that they used a thick and delicious toast and basically had it like an eggs in a basket. The smoked pork loin was also very hearty. The eggs benedict also came with a side of griddle potatoes(aka hash browns). It was super well done: crispy on one side and flavorful too! One of the most well done potato side dishes I’ve had during brunch in a while. And my friend was very content with her salmon sandwich. It came with bacon, avocado, arugula, and ricotta. Service was great, even though the kitchen had already closed. We never felt rushed or hurried. The ambience here was very hip, yet warm and comfy. It was a great relaxing place for brunch! Parking may be difficult here. There is a small lot behind the restaurant(with like 5 spots?). So you’re likely going to spend 10 minutes circling around looking for street parking.

The wait was almost two hours and my friend and I might have been the last people left in the lobby waiting for anything to open up. We had to ask the employee at the front if we had been forgotten, and even they were wondering that too. Besides that, the service afterwards was good, descriptive, and fast. We were seated at the chef’s counter, which always makes eating exciting when you get to watch people run around the kitchen. As expected with brunch, I ordered a Bloody Mary. It was good, and made me feel full fast. I ordered one of their most popular items, the chilaquiles(pulled pork, poached eggs, queso fresco, sour cream, avocado, red chili sauce, tomatillo salsa). Maybe other people had a better experience with this dish, but it was awful. The bottom of this dish had layers and layers of tortilla chips that were so soggy and cold, I thought that they were hard noodles at first, until my friend tried them and explained to me that was probably not the intent. I could only finish the pork, which was also stone cold. Everything on this dish was probably colder than my Bloody Mary. It was really that bad, and this was a signature item too. My friend’s dish though somehow came out warm. She had a delicious-tasting fried chicken & buttermilk biscuit entrée. The chicken was divine. The beignets were also good. The lemon curd is not inside the beignet but served as a side. Ask for two because you’ll be using it all up.

The Table continues to one of my favorite dining venues in the South Bay for 2016. It’s casual, parking is plentiful, seats are relatively easy to get(with a reservation or with proper planning). Dinner and brunch occasions are two completely different scenarios. Dinner: — Reservations accepted. — Complimentary House Bread w/Olive Oil & Cheese Dip — Bread is always freshly baked, crunchy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. — The Olive Oil & Cheese Dip makes the experience heavenly! — Bone Marrow — Ask for the complimentary crostinis to help eat the tasty and fatty bone marrow! — Beef Cheeks — Super tender and flavorful. Smaller portions! Brunch: — No reservations on weekends.(Come early!) — Burger — Excellent! Bread is fluffy and the patty is juicy! Condiments complement the entire burger experience! — Potato wedges are phenomenal! — Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict — Excellent! Smoked Salmon is very fresh and flavorful. Poached eggs are cooked to a perfect sous vide! — Acme bread make this excellent dish over the top! — Tip: Request to swap out the hash browns for potato wedges! — Pork Belly — Juicy and flavorful! Excellent! Pork belly is beautifully prepared! — Smoked Salmon Tartine — Miniature version of the smoked salmon sandwich with crostini’s and tasty smoked salmon! — Smoked Salmon Sandwich — Excellent smoked salmon over Acme bread with bacon and avocado! Wonderful! — Monkey Bread — Light and fluffy, most of the time! A must try!

If you’re looking for a good brunch and/or dinner spot, The Table is definitely a place to check out! BRUNCH: — Bottomless mimosas, what more can I say?! These mimosas are super strong, and they definitely get the job done! — I’ve tried a variety of items including chilaquiles, omelette of the day, and the pork belly. Nothing ever disappoints, and I’m always excited to try more items! — The wait can be super crazy so make sure to come earlier than when you expect to be seated, especially if you have a large group. DINNER: — The place transforms into a super intimate and classy restaurant at night! — The dinner menu is amazing! I definitely have no complaints about it whatsoever. Every time I am here and try something new, I am left happy and satisfied. Some items to try out are the bone marrow, pork belly, and desserts. Overall, the staff is super nice and friendly! This is definitely a place that I will come back to again and again.

I’ve been here a few times now and I have mostly positive things to say. No reservations were needed on Friday around noon. Maybe I was lucky, but I got seated right away. They still had a few tables available. It is a bit pricey and small-ish portions, but you can’t beat the atmosphere. The décor and settings modern and relaxed. I love the outdoor seating on a beautiful day. Great for people watching! Bacon Apple Melt — I liked this although the sandwich filling just seemed a little lacking in terms of the amount of cheese, bacon and arugula. The apple and the cheese had this kind of fish sauce taste to it… I enjoyed it because I personally like fish sauce, but the bf thought it was just too weird. Lol! This came with fresh papaya, kiwi and pineapple. Golden Potatoes — We thought this would be potato wedges, but it was a big hash brown. Delicious none-the-less! Beignets — The bf didn’t really enjoy these and said he’d had better. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes — Our friend ordered this and enjoyed it. She didn’t care for the ricotta, but liked the dish overall. Their specially crafted cocktails are $ 10. I got the Secret Garden(Vodka based drink) which was delicious and refreshing, but came in a martini glass so I didn’t get much bang for my buck.

After looking through Unilocal for a brunch place, I decided that this place would be prefect for my boyfriends bday brunch. The reviews were outstanding and the pictures were miraculous. We arrived around 1130AM on a Saturday and the place was packed. The wait was an hour long, but luckily, we were able to grab a seat/table near the bar. Our server was pretty attentive. He gave us the menu right after we were seated and had the biggest smile on his face. His rare to go to a place when its packed and have the servers be extremely nice and friendly. He checked on us throughout our first time expert nice here — definitely not our last time. We will be coming back again to try the other brunch items. We ordered unlimited mimosas to start off my bf’s bday. The unlimited mimosa was great! They actually used freshly squeezed orange juice. Caution, there is pulp so if you don’t like pulp, you may not like it. However, the major pro is that they add a very generous amount of champagne to the mimosa. My bf’s friend was buzzed off 5 mimosa glasses. I ordered the chicken and biscuit meal with an sunny side egg on top. I really liked the biscuit. Plenty of brunch places we have gone to served us biscuits that were slightly salty; however, the biscuit at this place is the slightly sweeter side, which I enjoyed. The chicken was fried pretty well. It was crispy, but not in grease. The egg was cooked perfectly! Right when I sliced into the sunny side up egg, it was still runny, which is what it’s supposed to be. The item came with a side of potatoes, which were seasoned well. The gravy they used was thick, not runny, and was pretty good. Slightly on the sweeter side, but not immensely sweet. In all, I enjoyed my meal. My bf, who isn’t a huge brunch fan, ordered the biscuit and sausage meal with a poached egg. He really enjoyed the house made sausage and the poached egg. He was actually surprised on how well they made the poached egg. He expected them to overdo it, but it wasn’t. He enjoyed it and stated he wanted to come back. Unlimited mimosas, great food, and great service. This is definitely the go-to place for brunch. The only reason I gave 4⁄5 stars was because the beginning part was slightly unorganized. The servers didn’t offer us the option of sitting close to the bar when it was open, and people who come here aren’t all well mannered.

3÷27÷16: Firstly, I just want to let you know that I’m not writing this relatively bad review, among all the other very glowing ones, just to be an oddball for the sake of being different, or just to bitch about irrelevant things. I’ve come here probably more than a dozen times already, and strangely each time I keep telling myself that they’ll be better(cause they’ve been amazing before when I first moved here about 2 years ago.) But unfortunately they just keep making things worse… I also want to give them credit – the manager has replied personally to my reviews before and expressed his wishes to do us right, and invited me a few times to talk to him. And the staff here is always very nice. So, nothing really against them either. But to me, they set this place up for failure. They have trendy, classy décor, but despite the nice wait staff, they just can’t deliver consistently. This time we waited more than ½hr for our food!, and I’m probably underestimating that. Might have been closer to 40min, I dunno. Put it this way: the table to our right got their food after we ordered, finished it, talked, paid, and left, all 20min before our first dish arrived. And, to top it off, they delivered our food out of order, appetizer last. It’s just not what I expect from an upper-end place. And like the last few times I’ve been here, ultimately, it was about the food… 1. Coffee $ 3: I liked their coffee.(My last review said it was overly light. I dunno if they changed things, but this time it was good.) 2. Scotch Egg $ 8 «romesco sauce, arugula salad»: I was so delighted they had this! – very rare to see this on a menu and I very much wanted my gf to see a good example, so she could make this at home. And when we did finally get this, I liked it. But, they gave this to us last, and I really do think this is more of an «appetizer». I dunno, I’m being unreasonable – perhaps others might think this could be served at the same time, or even a tad later. But perhaps I was just upset that it took 40min for this to appear on our table. And I also understand it’s probably the hardest to cook out of everything we ordered. Again, I might have overlooked all this if things were better, but well, they ain’t. Now as for the dish itself, it was pretty good. Nicely fried on the outside. The egg was perfect and runny. Had some sort of ground pork filling inside that I thought was kinda different for an American-style dish. The romesco sauce had a great flavor too – crushed sundried tomatoes perhaps? All good. 8⁄10 3. Roasted Mushroom Flatbread $ 11 + 2 Eggs $ 4 «kale, queso fresco, rosemary oil»: Disappointing. The bread, true to its name, was indeed«flat.» Just very plain and untasty. The cheese was odd – hard to say how it was offensive, but something to do with its translucent gooey texture. Just was not great to me. The mushroom themselves were yummy though, and my gf loved the fried kale – that was a very nice touch. But the bread just sucked, and the whole thing, if it weren’t for the toppings, would be very underwhelming. Did I mention it was lukewarm? – like my pancakes, see below. 5⁄5 And 2 eggs for $ 4… guess my gf didn’t need to order it, but when I saw the bill… 4. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes $ 13: I had high high hopes for this. I love good pancakes. But alas, some good but mostly not great here. Love the lemon flavor – perfect amount. It’s different, and tastes very good. But the pancakes overall were just okay. The texture was amateur. Served lukewarm. You’d figure after waiting more than 30min these things would have been flown to our table piping hot, with the waiter staring for our order to show up. Some certainly dropped the ball, cause clearly it waited somewhere for a while in the chain. I think if they were warm, perhaps they might have been more moist and softer. But as is, can’t say they were that great. I think your average Bisquick pancakes at home would be better. 5⁄5 So food was edible, but not worth the price of admission. This place has been consistently disappointing us for a while, hence the drop in score. My tip: don’t come here for breakfast. Dinner’s a bit better, especially when at its best. I’ve had amazing dinners here a couple years ago. Never had a good breakfast here though. 2⁄5 #american #americanbreakfast #breakfast #brunch

The Table was fantastic. Came here for breakfast but would want to return to try lunch & dinner! Corned beef & hash: Really enjoyed this dish. Had great flavor and a cool combination of textures from the beef & potatoes w/the runny egg! Lemon ricotta pancakes: The FLUFFIEST pancakes I’ve ever had. So light and perfectly executed. Get this. Wonderful service and loved that there was so much natural light from the big windows! Outside seating looked lovely as well! Highly recommend this place for breakfast.

The Table seems to b THE dining destination in downtown Willow Glen for American(New) fare. I have only been there for dinner service, but I found it to b really good organic, farm to table, savory food with friendly service to match so we were happy to visit again for their brunch service on the weekend. The Table is located on the corner of Willow Street n Lincoln Avenue. there’s a large tall sign on the sidewalk so u really can’t miss it. there’s a tiny lot in the back for parking, but it’s only for 4 to 5 cars so park across the street in the 2 level parking garage if u can. there’s always street parking also. we haven’t visited again since they did renovations n expanded last year(I believe they bought out the old laundromat next door?) n the restaurant has rapidly become a super hot spot on the weekends for brunch. I have probably tried twice to go for brunch this year, but both times have decided to go somewhere else cuz it was too much of a wait.(1 hour to 2 hour wait ftw??) so FINALLY learned my lesson n we got there around 10:30am to get a table for two.(they don’t take reservations for weekend brunch. boo!!) we were able to get a table outside on the patio on the newly expanded side. it wasn’t cold at all. they had all the heat lamps on. the new area looks pretty nice with the additional bar area n romantic lights hanging outside for dining outdoors at night. our server was helpful n filled our water glasses throughout the time we were there. I saw 2 dogs sitting out where we were seated so I’m assuming it’s dog-friendly on the patio area. we ordered our brunch items from the simple menu n waited for them to come. don’t expect your dishes to come to u fast cuz its usually filled with other customers so it’s a wait of probably 10 to 15 minutes. our dishes came to us at the same time.(it’s great that most restaurants do this now. love how some also do sweeping of the tables with each waiter; such a grand gesture!) if u have a large appetite, this probably isn’t the place for u. their plates usually come with just enough food for lunch. u will not overeat here here unless u also order a couple of side dishes to go with your entrée. it’s good quality food which also happens to look pretty. :) Pulled Pork Sandwich: open-faced sandwich. my bf asked me «where’s my other piece of bread?» hahaha. very flavorful thanks to the gochujang sauce. they need to add more though. I would like it smothered in the sauce. :) the hash browns were made good as well. fried crunchy but not burned. Fried Chicken & Buttermilk Biscuit: the egg was a bit too raw for me. some of the egg white was still transparent. the yolk was perfect though. the chicken was crispy n also juicy. LOVED the potato wedges. very crispy. he loved it also. would order this again for sure!

I’ve had a couple of dinners here and they were pretty good. Didn’t care too much about the tables being so cramped together in the restaurant side. So we brunch here on a regular basis at the friendly fun bar where I can be his shot of Whisky and he my ;-) glass of wine… :P Pull up and you’re served a glass of Mimosa with great OJ! Our last visit, we had –Salmon Tar tines, salty but good. –Scotch Egg, always super delicious –Corn beef hash, my all time favorite –Salmon Benedicts, P didn’t care much for them. Great place, great food, great bartenders, great service!

Bottomless Mimosas for only $ 11! Came here on Valentine’s Day weekend and it was expected that there would be a long wait for brunch. Surprisingly we were able to get seated right away and we really appreciate how friendly/outgoing our waitress was. She was really informative and enthusiastic about everything on the menu. We opted for the $ 11 Bottomless Mimosas and let me tell you, these bad boys were strong! One Mimosa got me pretty buzzin already and I ended up drinking 3 total. It was definitely worth the price since there are other places that can charge up to $ 24 for bottomless mimosas! Food wise, brunch here is fantastic and inexpensive. I ordered the Biscuits & Gravy with a runny egg and it was perfect. The portions are pretty hefty and I wasn’t able to finish my dish. I definitely want to come back and try everything else on the menu. So many options! This is a great place to go to if you’re looking for a nice brunch spot. The staff is friendly, the mimosas are tasty and strong, and overall everything is so inexpensive. This place also takes reservations which is convenient for those going with a big group of people. I approve!
