Bad service upon entry. Workers had bad attitudes and were slow. They over price their drinks and charge for refills, The four stars are a joke. The Stromboli has mustard in it. My wife got the rigatoni and the sauce tasted worse than jar sauce. Only thing that was good was the cannoli. Don’t let the reviews fool you, worst Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. While I had their attention I asked for extra sauce, the lady said $ 3(which is half the price of the stromboli!). No thank you! Also the owners the suppose have a good service they are worst look like they upset to be there

I’ve been coming to Dimaggios ever since I was a little kid in elementary school. I’m now married with 3 kids and the stromboli never fails to hit the craving! I highly recommend the stromboli, get a large cause you will eat it later if you don’t finish it! If you’re looking for pizza, try the Tony’s Combo!

Great stromboli and service! I’ve been coming here for years and one of the owners are always here. If you have a problem with the service let them know. Don’t change the recipe! Its been that way for years! True family business. If you want to go to a fancy place this isn’t for you. If you want to go to a place with great food at a reasonable price this is the place!

The pizza was ok PizzaHut is better. Pasta was OK too. The dinning area was always dirty, & smell uncleaned. Ever since I saw 2 cockroaches crawling on the floor a year ago, I’ve never return.

I have been coming here for more than 30 years. As a child my father would take me here almost every Saturday for lunch. I can honestly say that this is place is one of my top favorite places to eat on earth. The stromboli is what they are known for and it is the pinnacle of what a stromboli should be. I’ve had stromboli in NYC and Tony’s is still my favorite. You need to try the pasta too. I frequently get the rigatoni or the spaghetti — both are killer dishes. Oh, and they make a mean pizza too. The thin, hand tossed crust is the bomb. The location isn’t the greatest, but come there anyway and you will not be disappointed with the quality of the food. A place like this deserves to be experienced by lovers of good, Italian food.

Had the Lasagna and Stromboli here so far. Was very pleased with both. Can’t wait to try the pizza though. Just haven’t had the opportunity to hit up a whole pie just yet. Love the inviting family atmosphere here too.

I had Tony Di Maggios Pizza for the first time last night. I’ve passed this place for years and really never noticed it. It was mentioned to me by my friends boyfriend, who’s family has been coming there for years since he was a kid. We had a large group, my friend, her daughter, my friends boyfriend and his neice, my son and myself. I wondered if they’d have enough room, but easily they did. Walking in first thing I noticed was it was a lot warmer inside then outside, but not unbearable. I quickly saw why. The ovens are right when you walk in and the smell that hits you is amazing. I honestly think they do that so the wonderful aroma lofts out to draw people in. I was told to try the Stromboli, so that’s what I ordered. Omg it was delicious. I should warn though… come with a real apatite. I had the medium Stromboli and that was perfect size for me. The taste was amazing, and the staff was very friendly. I used to swear by Via Mia Pizza… now I swear by Tony Di Maggios Pizza. I will definitely be back again… very soon!

My first time having stromboli and it was delicious. A medium sized stromboli with a side of spaghetti and meatballs was able to feed three grown men. Definitely would recommend coming here to try out the stromboli if you have never tried one.

Wow — what a stromboli! The sauce and the crust is the star ! They lose one star for not letting us choose the insides — the mustard and american cheese is strange, but it still tastes great!

Classic mom and pop shop. The place has a vintage feel to it. The menu was a bit confusing at first as I had to use Unilocal to justify a few items. I decided to try out the signature Stromboli and the combo pizza. The Stromboli was well proportioned as I got a medium. Definitely a lot of flavor and the sauce didn’t so much over power the entire item which was a plus. I was in question if the Strombolis were prepared fresh but I was assume no. The consistency of the dough was okay as it was a bit rough even with the sauce. The pizza was great as I love thin crust style dishes. I think it’s a bit over priced for the size of the pizza. Overall my experience here was okay. Wouldn’t be my go to pizza spot locally but definitely worth the try if you’re big on cheese as the Stromboli was loaded.

We were in town for my wife’s training and her trainers took the class here for a late lunch, ordering large stromboli’s for all of them to share. my wife liked it and suggested I try it before we head back to LA. I wasn’t super hungry when we went and I knew I would be pulling the salami out of my piece of the stromboli, so we ordered a small. We asked for it extra crispy and sauce on the side. I loved the sauce, it was very mellow and smooth. Great flavor too. I love mustard so I thought that was a great touch. A tad too much cheese for me, but thats just a personal preference. Oh and that canolli, was FABULOUS. Probably the best one I’ve ever had. Perfect shell, very balanced filling and the cherry on the ends was a nice touch.

This place is kinda secluded but its pretty good. Lets start with the ambience. I must say that its not the nicest ive seen? Kinda outdated and old looking nd not ina good way. As far as food goes it was pretty delicious. We got the stramboli which was big a cheesy. Also got the combination pizza which was very tasty and thr crust was nice and crunchy. Wish it looked nicer as far as looks go but would deff recommend the food.

I really liked this place. It was my first time coming in the other day, finally. The staff is pretty chill. You come in, order, have a seat/wait for your food, and then eat. The staff brings everything to your table. I will definitely come back again. I got the large Stromboli. It’s covered and filled with sauce, filled with HELLA cheese, meat and some mustard that I was feelin. A large should be split between 2 – 3 people. It’s a lot of food/cheese. Con: would of liked to have a little more meat and more sauce. The garlic bread was super soft and crunchy. Also you pay right before you leave. I am planning on coming back and trying some pizza.

I have come here a lot over the years, and it is safe to say that this place in terms of it’s food has stayed the same, it’s is really freaking good! The strombolli is where it is at!!! It is baked fresh, the sauce is really good and homemade, and on the inside, sausage, ham, and mustard will actually surprise your taste buds! My one and only complaint is the sevice. It isn’t very good. The folks here don’t seem like they want to be here, and do the bare minimum to help. I spilled some soda on myself, and waited awhile for some help. I was a quite dissapointed with that. The parking is a little snug, but it is worth it. The place itself is a real hole in the ground, but the food is great! Overall; awesome food, kinda pricey, and don’t expect to be treated great.

Met up with a friend here on his recommendation. Guess I can always learn a thing or too. This place was good. I’m surprised that they haven’t somehow made their way onto Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. It seems like the kind of place that would qualify. You drive up Monterey or make the turn from Capitol and it’s pretty much in the first plaza after the overpass. You park in a pretty decently sized lot. You walk in and see the family photos and signed memorabilia from sports athletes and the bar seating, with table seating on the other side of a porous wall. Since they’re apparently famous for strombolis, I had to try one. And since I was feeling particularly hungry, I decided to go for the large stromboli($ 14.50). There is only one type of stromboli, which has gooey cheese, delicious ham and cheese inside a sturdy dough and underneath a drenching of marinara sauce. I finished and enjoyed it all. I almost wonder if it’s better to order two mediums since you only really get the crunchy crust on the ends. Then again, less filling. Oh, the trade-offs… We shared some garlic bread too. It was a little sourdough-y perhaps, since sour was the dominant flavor, and it didn’t seem very buttery. The marinara sauce definitely helped the bread, and I added extra marinara to my stromboli as well for the acidity. Ask for extra sauce if you need it. Anyway, I would probably try the breadsticks or just skip the appetizers altogether next time. I’ve been reading about some other awesome things that I should try, and if I come back one day and experience something great(manicotti? eggplant parmesan?), I will gladly add the fifth star. Regardless, I’d still say it’s a good place for casual Italian eats and either wine or on-tap beer(yep, they have both). You could do worse.
