One of the best burgers I’ve experienced Also the service was good and the price was reliable.

I love the Willow Glen location but this one is closer to home. Last night was our first visit and most likely our last. I feel like the menu was more limited than the WG menu but the food was still good. The service left a lot to be desired. Our food sat on the counter, ready to be brought to us for some time. We never got refills. We were never checked on. But there was plenty of staff. They just preferred to stand around chatting.

Terrible service, especially at this price point. Who knew it’s basically become«self service». Had lunch today with my brother. Check was $ 47.00. The place was empty but we had to ask for water twice, bread twice,(that’s when we could find someone), bused our own dishes and had to find someone to get our check. Meanwhile workers stood around chatting with each other and ignoring us. Will never go back. Meh– used to be a good place.

The waitress was very patient with us. Not only did we switch to a bigger table as we waited for our third person but she put in his order so it would come out in time of his arrival. She was very attentive and brought our food in a timely fashion.

What happened to this place? It used to be a delight but now I have no reason to go back! They changed their menu, 1⁄3rd the offering and raised prices. Even the old standby items’ recipes have changed for the worse. They don’t have their spinach salad anymore. The Thai pizza recipe has changed and it’s not very good. They lost the golden combination! The Caesar salad sucked too, they even changed the lettuce for it! We were wondering why we were one of only 2 patrons in there on what should be a busy Saturday night. Even with no one ther, we got terrible service. The wait staff was clearly interested in chatting among themselves. We had to GET up to ask for the check! Forget about being checked on once the food actually came. What a shame. I’m waiting for it to go out of business and hope for something better.

I’ve had this restaurant bookmarked for a while now and finally got a chance to check it out and boy am I happy I did! We were able to find parking right away during prime dinner hour on a Saturday, which is always a plus. The server, Robbie, was fantastic. A server with a great personality and genuine charm is hard to come by these days, definitely ask for him if you check this place out! Appetizers We ordered the calamari steaks and wings which have become pretty standard for my family. The calamari steak wasn’t over fried like some places, just the right amount of batter used! The wings normally come with blue cheese, but I requested ranch which the server had no obligations. Don’t expect the spicy wings from BWW, these are juicy wings packed with flavour. Main Course I ordered the Mahi Mahi which was cooked very well with a slew of perfectly seasoned vegetables. Potatoes, peas, onion, tomato, and olives give the fish a great balance. My dad ordered the ribs and loved every bite. He was savouring each bite until the end. The ribs were served with carrots and mashed potatoes which when mixed with the sauce used on the ribs makes for a great complimenting flavour. We also ordered the seafood linguine, iron steak, and Mediterranean pizza which Robbie brought over at the end of our meal, perfect timing! He even gave us extra bread because he realized we were fans of it. Talk about a prefect night full of great food, great company, and a great server as the cherry on top! Thanks again Robbie! We’ll definitely ask for you on our next visit!

Come here for dinner on a rainy Friday night. There was a large crowd waiting to be seated in the front lobby. I asked for a table for 2 and seated almost immediately. It was happy hour, so I indulged and got two to share with my fiancé. The broccoli started was perfect, just the right amount of everything. The fiery shrimp was good too. At the end– the happy hour discount was not on my tab. Not cool. Our main entrees were just good: I had the salmon and my bae had a pizza. The service was good. I’d go back for happy hour food.

My friend and I had the blessing of having Patrick as our waiter, never have we ever had such great service. He was very attentive, very funny and had everything ready for us very fast. He made us feel very comfortable and was very informative when it came to the menu. Great services and wasn’t to loud!

We’ve been going to Willow Street for 10+ years and they have been consistently one of the best restaurants. The food is fresh and tasty, the staff is always friendly, fast, and accommodating. While not known for their soups, their soup of the day, not matter what it is, is always excellent. Also notable: the grilled chicken, pizzas, and steak sandwich.

Honestly, I really have no complaints about Willow Street at Westgate. I’ve been going here off and on for several years. First off, the staff is always very friendly and working hard to make your stay pleasurable. The manager is often on the floor working too, which says a lot to me about priorities and how they feel about cutomer service. In some restaurants management sits in the back and you don’t know what they are doing. You can tell the management hires great people too! Secondly the food selection is very good, usually something for everybody and it’s always tasty. I love the Willow Burger, made with the Flat Bread, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Their cobb salad is awesome and I love their potato fries with the chipotle dipping sauce. yum! The salmon/spinach fettucini is one of my favorites, as well as the Vodka Prawn Fettucini dish. Finally, the restaurant is always clean and well maintained. Sure when they are busy, sometimes it might take a minute or two for an area to be cleaned, but there is always a bus person on the floor and things run smoothly. Wait staff works hard and moves quickly to get your food to you hot. Okay, that’s about it! Willow Street at Westgate is a great place for a dinner with friends and family. It’s a neighborhood establishment and if you go there a few times a month, you get to know the staff and they get to know you. Great job guys… keep up the good work!

I’ve never heard of this place before, but after the long wait at Lazy Dog; we decided to come here. There was a bit of a wait on a Saturday evening — maybe about 10 – 15 minutes. The establishment is fairly small including a dining area and a bar area. The host at the front was very personable and friendly, which made the wait pleasant. I personally ordered the chipotle burger with fire fries. I didn’t really try the other dishes we ordered, so the food portion of my review will be solely based on that. I was kind of shocked to see my burger arrive looking like a normal burger with a chipotle sauce container served on the side. The burger was really plain — not really flavorful, which was kind of upsetting because I was really craving for a delicious burger. I think the produce to meat ratio was off as well. The meat was too thick and the vegetables that came on the burger were very sparse. On the other hand, the fire fries were good. It reminded me of the Cajun fries you see at Boiling Crab. I don’t know if I would go out of my way to dine here again.

Not my cup of tea. Food selections appear to be pre-prepared and then reheated once ordered or refried rather than prepared fresh. Pasta dishes are over-seasoned and overly glutinous. Pizza dough is heavy and not well-seasoned. Wings are too greasy and salty. Happy hour drinks are too sweet. Well vodkas and liquor selections are on the low end. Wait staff are courteous but appear apathetic and bored. Parking is easy midweek.

I eat here all the time, but not for the pizza. The salads and pastas are very good. The bar and bar service leave a lot to be desired. The bar is usually tended by the manager as needed, so I often have to go looking for the bartender/manager for service at the bar. Go for the Gorgonzola Salad.

For many years, I used to go to the original Willow Street Pizza in Willow Glen and loved it!!! I like their pizzas, pastas and salads. I was always happy with the food and service. However, since moving I started going to the Willow Street at Westgate and the food is just ok and the service is weak. What I’m most annoyed with and it is what’s prompting me to write this review and give them a 1-star rating is the poor service on my most recent visits for takeout. The employees at Willow Street in Westgate are really bad about answering the phone. On multiple occasions I have called to place a to-go order and after letting it ring for 3 – 4 minutes no one ever picks up, so I hang up and go elsewhere. It happened tonight and on my second attempt, it connected and then disconnected. Either the phone system is broken or someone picked it up and hung up right away. I guess the phone ringing was bothering them. The not answering has happened enough times that it’s clear that the employees can’t be bothered with picking up the phone and they rather the business go elsewhere. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area to go to who want your business and put customers first. Since Willow Street didn’t want my business tonight, I took my business to Veggie Grill where I received excellent service! As a side note, on my previous visit to Willow Street at Westgate, I picked up my to-go order and paid with cash. The person handling it hands me the order and says, «You’re all set. Thanks. Have a good night» and takes the money and walks away. I didn’t appreciate the assumption that I didn’t want my change. It’s clear that some of the employees care more about their time and money and not the customers’ time and money(or the owner’s of Willow Street’s bottom line). Overall, very poor customer service.

My boyfriend and I went there for Sunday lunch, and it was perfect. Their lunch special was great and affordable, salad and half pizza/pasta. Very friendly service. Everyone greeted us as we walked in/out. Overall, it was very bright and chill. It could get loud at evenings with the bar. I strongly recommend Vodka Prawn Fettuccine. Perfectly creamy and flavorful. I got it without sun-dried tomatoes. I actually came back the next day for take-out dinner. I’d definitely come here again.

Been a frequent customer here for a number of years now and will never be going back. During my past few dining experiences, I had to wait almost ten minutes to be even greeted by my server. today was no exception, and it wasn’t even busy! I’m a server at a local restaurant and we are taught to be greet our tables within 3 minutes they get seated. But ten. I was pretty upset. I told the manager what had happened, and she didn’t offer any apologies. Didn’t seem to care at all. Review your customer service guys and maybe your restaurant will be able to pull in more customers during lunch! Good luck!

Alexa was the best waitress we’ve ever had at this restaurant! She’s got great energy, was very responsive to requests for bread, butter, and gave us a fantastic recommendation on the Willowburger. OMG, that burger was so huge, my wife and I had to split it. Oozing with a tasty gorgonzola sauce and crispy pieces of bacon, this truly is an amazing burger. And she also brought us not just a few pieces, but a whole cup of bacon for my son’s spaghetti. A most enjoyable evening! Good luck in Davis, Alexa, and hope to see you back when you come home(and here) for the holidays!

Ah Willow Street. It is nothing super spectacular but it is consistently decent. The mixed greens is what I usually go with. The pizza of choice? Normally the mushroom pancetta or bbq chicken. Every once in a while I will go with the short rib mac n cheese.

Last resort to come here after hiking to watch game 5. Go Dubs! When we arrived, the host let us know there will be a 20−25min wait for a table. No big deal. However, he failed to mention that the«bar» area tables were first come first serve. This was a little frustrating as another group just swooped up before 2 – 3 groups ahead of them. My group included. When we confronted the host after he sat them, he didn’t have any explanation but that the bar area was first come first serve seating. He definitely had a derp moment as we were very upset that this was not mentioned to us or other parties waiting. Anyway, on to the food… we decided to go with the«game» food which was the willow burger. It was… a miss for me. The burger was dry, and extremely bland. I also ordered the Italian which was a definitely step up from the burger, I mean after all this is a pizza place? The food didn’t really leave a very strong impression on me. Our server was actually very attentive so I would give her props for that. Lesson learned… not really the best place to watch the game, and just mildly ok food. Just a little upset about the whole seating situation still.

Kids eat free on mommy and me days! That means you can pick any of the kids meals which range from $ 4 – 8. Today after the mommy and me event at the mall we walk over to this pizza place for lunch. We were seated promptly and the waitress brought out crayons and paper for the kids. She also brought out complimentary bread with oil and vinegar. I ordered the sausage and mushroom mini pizza and chicken veggie soup(lunch special $ 11) and the toddler meal for my daughter. The food was served rather quickly. My pizza was thin crust. It tasted ok. A bit on the bland side so I had to add some pepper to spice it up. The chicken soup was decent. My daughter ate the chicken strips, cucumber and orange slices but did not care for the shredded cheese or carrots. Pretty good deal considering my daughter ate for free. If I come back I would probably try one of their pasta dishes instead.

We had dinner here on a Monday night. Restaurant was moderately busy. We were seated right away. The kids had pasta dishes. I had one of their specials: warm Brussel sprouts and bacon salad. It was surprisingly good. Portion was large in my opinion. I ended taking the rest to go. My son had the standard spaghetti with two meatballs. He finished it completely. My daughter had the angel hair pasta. It was a good sized portion. We took the rest to go. Prices were fair. Total for three entrees and water was $ 41 including tip. We tipped 18%. Our server was very attentive and nice. The host was also very cordial. Overall, a positive experience. Food would be three stars. Nothing out of the ordinary. It was okay. Service would be four stars. We would come back but probably not anytime soon.

So that’s what a wood fire pizza tastes like… Bland. Boyfriend & I decided to grab some pizza before the movies, ordered the garlic chicken pizza($ 14.50) with complimentary bread(which was cold but soft & chewy), pizza came out within 10⁄15 minutes… For $ 15, it’s a pretty small pizza but I’m surprised my boyfriend & I were full off of it. The pizza itself however was bland & really no distinctive taste I could remember. I did however like the chicken on top, the caramelized onions on top were different, but didn’t make a difference on the taste of the pizza for me. Overall I wasn’t much of a fan. Beer is $ 7 for a 16oz, over priced for draft. Pretty disappointed for my first time.

UPDATE: details for extra $ 1 charge for thin crust per mgr. thought i’d share. ;) We charge $ 1 for thin crust pizza because it requires more sauce, cheese and toppings given the larger surface area of the pizza. Thank you again and have a nice week! Sincerely, Matthew H
