Juice Joint and Deli

This place is a real gem. I was on my way home from visiting Oceanside, and wasn’t really in the mood for much of anything. A sandwich sounded somewhat good, so I did a quick Unilocal search for sandwiches en route the way home. A few Subways popped up (bleck), a Pizza Hut (gross), and this place in San Juan. With a solid 5 star rating, I decided to stop here — and I’m really glad I did.
I walked in rather gloomy, wanting to get in and out and back on the road. The friendly man working behind the counter greeted me with a smile that you give your friends, and took my order while carrying on a nice conversation. Despite me being in a low mood, I could feel my morale rising a little just based on the awesome customer service I was receiving.
As for the food, I decided to create my own. I ordered a chicken (all boars head meats here… yum) sandwich on sourdough with lettuce, tomato, pepperocinis, and honey mustard. I had a side of chips (Rosemary olive oil flavor… they had tons of options that all sounded really good. I almost chose the spicy dill pickle flavor but ultimately went with the Rosemary olive oil which were some of the best chips I’ve ever had) and an iced coffee. The caramel iced coffee had a zing to it. I’m not much of a coffee person usually, but needed it that day. The coffee I had here made me reconsider being a «not coffee» person. It was so refreshing and tasty.
There were tons of options as far as fresh squeezed juices and smoothies go. I looooove smoothies and juices, and if I lived closer I would definitely hit this place up regularly to try all the flavors. Also, while I’ve never tried any of the much desired Mexican treats that I see often when trekking to East Bakersfield/​East LA, I saw they had a whole section of the menu dedicated to the mango/​chamoy/​cucumber treats and so forth.
This place is so worth a try, if not making it a regular choice in your lunch spectrum. I’ll definitely be back on my way back through San Juan.

I was in the area for work and Unilocaled a place for lunch. I went in and the staff was very friendly and recommend a great choice for a smoothie and sandwich. I ordered the so cal sandwich toasted and it was delicious! I also order the strawberry breeze smoothie and loved it! Definitely coming back next time I’m in town

Food was amazing I had the best smoothie and the best sandwich, the service was great as well and they play really good music haha will definitely be coming back as often as I can !

If your looking for a fresh, healthy spot to eat, look no further. This hidden gem it the best find in a long time. Go and try it, trust me!

Fantastic sandwiches highly recommended. Little hole in the wall place is a nice find and is worth searching out. The owners are very nice and courteous. The SoCal sandwich Panini style on squaw bread is to die for. We will be back.

I was on my way to San Diego in awful traffic & a hungry stomach, so I looked at Unilocal to find this hidden gem! They had a Unilocal deal with good reviews, so we tried it. It was delicious! I got a turkey sandwich, that was packed with fresh turkey. My boyfriend got the bbq chicken, to die for! My bro got a yummy special. We also enjoyed flavorful, fresh, and tropical smoothies! Glad we stopped by!

I live close by and I decided to give Juice Joint a try. My son and I went. I tried the V8 juice which, has Tomato, beets, celery, carrots, lime juice and parsley pressed. It was delicious! My son had the Mango Madness smoothie which, tasted delicious too! We both got the 24 oz cups. The total came to $ 10.98. You can’t beat that price for a 24 oz pressed vegetable juice and a 24 oz smoothie! I’ll be coming back for sure!

This place is slowly turning out to be my favorite place for fruit smoothies. I tried out both their sandwiches and smoothies, probably the best tasting food and drinks for your money. They use WHEY protein in them smoothies, you can substitute milk for almond milk, which helps me out since they didn’t have soy milk but found out it’s just as tasty. Thank you to all the employees that gave me a good overview of their extensive menu. Will be back soon

Clean friendly spot for a sandwich. Met my sister here for lunch yesterday and was back again for a smoothie with my daughter after school today. Both times it was good, a good place to zip in and get a juice.

I get the mr green amazing! If your looking for a heathy juice spot this is definitely it !!

Disappointing after so many five star reviews. Stopped here on the way from Carlsbad to Los Angeles. Bread was stale and sandwich poorly dressed.

I’ve been looking for a place that has chamangos and mangos con chile (!!) in this area since I’ve moved here. I can’t believe it took me 2+ years to actively find somewhere so convenient and so close to home/​work.
Not to mention the staff is super friendly and didn’t mind my French at all when I got overly ecstatic about finding them!

Love this place! Their sandwiches are fresh and delicious! Discount offered when you check in. Their sandwich even comes with a small side of macaroni salad.
Also all their smoothies are made with fresh fruit! Huge plus!
Most importantly, the staff is so friendly and welcoming! Every time I come I feel so at home at this deli. I wish more people knew about this place!

HUGE FAN!
Went with my kids who could not stop raving about their sandwiches, a SoCal Special and Pastrami. I had the vegi (not a lot of choices on the menu for vegetarians unfortunately, even their salad have meat). All of them were HUGE! We all loved the bread… it was super fresh. We also had a mango smoothie and Strong Man… both delicious. And the guys working were awesome.

This shit’s legit. Boar’s Head meats and cheese, good bread, the sandwiches are STUFFED. I would come by more often, but it’s a bit out of my area.
I bet this place is busy during lunch time. I was there on Friday around 3 and no line.

They sell a carbonated alcoholic tea. «Synergy». It’s different, but good.

From before I even opened the door, I was impressed by this place. One of the guys saw a hat I was pushing a stroller and ran over to hold the door open for me. Major bonus points right there.
Two of the guys working there helped me look over their extensive menu.
I ordered 2 sandwiches and used the $ 5 off Unilocal check in special. They customized my sandwich and accommodated me changing my mind like 4 times with no problem.

Delicious & Nutritious… I was looking for a place that wasn’t a fast food restaurant, close to where I work. It was both delicious and satisfying. I also love going to family owned restaurants.
I just hope that they open a place closer to the Temecula/​Murrieta area.

Ample parking spot. Friendly staff. Unilocal coupons. Delicious food. Refreshing drinks.
Mediterranean is fresh, and good on a warm/​hot day. Pressed Pastrami for the meat lovers. This Joint carries Boar’s Head meat. Awesome time.

Some people will use the phrase «hidden gem» to describe this place but it is literally hidden. The plaza itself was still under construction so it easy to miss. The signs were hard to spot and the parking lot was relatively small but wasn’t a problem when I went.
The service was friendly and courteous from what I remembered. The menus don’t have pictures so you might need some time to decide what you want from their large selection of sandwiches and juices. The juices they offered was plentiful but I ended up getting the OJ just to make things simple on myself. The sandwich I ordered was the bbq chicken which like many reviews have already stated they use Boar’s Head meat. It wasn’t bbq chicken but really just sliced chicken breast with bbq sauce. The sandwich came with fresh greens, onions, tomatoes and other stuff but I forgot.
Place is pretty good and would come here again if I’m ever in the area.

This was a great spot to grab a fresh lunch and delicious juices on a tourist-​y day in SJC to see the mission. The staff was really cheery and helpful, the sandwiches were well made, and the juices & smoothies were delicious. They’re a little off the tourist path, but were worth the detour.
