TERRIBLEMANAGEMENT! First n foremost they had a diggers located in Hayward, can u say disgusting, very dirty! I’m pretty sure service was cool but then again try working there let alone n the back! UGGGHHHHH! Not recommended n not surprised that it was closed or bought off by someone else, it was only a matter of time. The servers n cooks would fight n front of people, so unprofessional. Hey people do u like spit with ur shake??? Well then drink up!

I tried this for dinner with my kids even though the reviews seemed iffy, but I really just did not want to drive anywhere else to get burger, fries, and a shake. Got a mushroom swiss burger. It was broiled nicely and tasty, had all the fixings I wanted on it. Fries were good, meets expectations of fries anywhere. Curly fries as well. Their chocolate shake seemed to have ice in it and not sure if they use real ice cream or not. Run of the mill burger joint but nothing out of place. Was reasonably priced and worth trying. The service was also pretty good. They got me regular fries instead of the curly fries I ordered and when I asked about it, the lady immediately got to making curly fries for me without hesitation.

A total nightmare! No one washes their hands! The cook puts the raw meat on grill then touches the buns, checks the temperature of the cooked burgers, never washes hands! The guy who handles the money also touched a bun and sausage without washing his hands. What type of place does not wear gloves??? This one! I had to complain to the cashier before they all put gloves on. Still doesn’t stop the cook from handling raw meat and touching everything else without changing gloves. I would bit recommend this place! So unsanitary.

I had the worst service ever at this place this Sunday the cook in the kitchen Katy customer service is so terrible and I will never ever go back. She jumped in my conversation when I was talking to the cashier then wrapped my food all nasty because she was upset and didn’t include nearly half of my order I finally told her cancel my order after she continued to throw my food in the bag and I requested a refund of my money, the manager Imari came over and refunded my items but didn’t even try to reprimand her employee instead she allowed Katy to continue to talk mess behind the counter. Very unprofessional I was a regular but they can kiss my service good bye and I am letting it be known that others shouldn’t spend their money here either.

Wah wahhh. Tripping over a low bar. The older woman is rude and seemingly spun so… even for the foodcourt this place sucks. Upside are the younger workers friendly and doing all the work.

My wife and I are here and we love their burgers and hotdogs. Its very comforting food. Like other burger and hotdog joints, Diggers offers deep fried twinkies and some fair deep fried food. Its one of east bay’s staple food place. 3 stars.

More To Dig Than I Thought I’m going to give this kiosk 3 stars again(I’ll try to make it clear why 4 stars is too generous). Still, I was happier on Saturday than when I went here last year. There’s only 1 register, but there were 2 cashiers. The female cashier took my order in order to save time, but that kind of backfired. She had to repeat the order to the male cashier twice(he initially thought that I wanted chili). Both cashiers were friendly, but the female cashier impressed me more. The male cashier, for example, should have given me my drink right away(I spoke up when the female cashier assumed that I was«all set» when I wasn’t). There was only 1 cook(he showed some attention to detail when preparing some hot dogs). This time, though, I only had to wait about 7 minutes for my name to be called(last time, I had to wait about 12). I didn’t mind that my name was misspelled(Symon instead of Simon). I viewed it as comical. The burgers here are cooked well done. Make sure you speak up if that’s not what you want. French Fries: I’m not a fan(the ones I had last year were average), and a reviewer named Jaymie blasts them in her review. Curly Fries: I’m a mild fan(I comment on them more below). Ball Park Garlic Fries: They seem to be pretty good. The napkins, like the patience of people when they’re around me, are paper thin. I’m glad that I asked for more. I was asked if I wanted any ketchup(the ketchup packets are generic). I was also given some salt and pepper packets once I asked. Note: All prices include tax. Bacon Cheese Burger($ 6.37; Combo– $ 9.66; Combo with Curly Fries: $ 10.53): 8.25÷10. My wife thought that my burger was huge, but it mainly had to do with how my bacon was placed. «w/thick Honey Cured Bacon»: I received a few slices of bacon. They were somewhat fatty, but tasty. They were a little thick, but what stood out to me the most was that they were ungreasy. My cheese wasn’t bad, but it didn’t stand out. My bun was big and delicious. My patty wasn’t that thick, but it was fairly wide. It was cooked well and quite good. I also received my burger the way I wanted it. I received a solid serving of Curly Fries. They could have been seasoned better(they could have also been a bit hotter), but I was pleased overall. I don’t know if my meal was worth $ 10.53, but the prices here are what you would find at a regular Digger’s Diner location(it’s nice that the prices aren’t higher given that this kiosk is at a mall). I was still hungry after I ate, but that was my fault(I was fasting earlier, and I shouldn’t have changed my mind about ordering a double cheeseburger). It would be nice, though, if the drinks were bigger when you order a combo. I don’t love this kiosk, but it’s worth ordering from here overall.

I usually hate buying food in the mall, but I was a little hungry and it was a hot day. So while I was waiting for my car to be done getting fixed and I found one of the best burgers ever. I got a mushroom Swiss burger with fries and a shake and everything was made to perfection. I’m picky about a medium burger because I don’t like beef well done. the fries taste amazing with a side of ranch which wasn’t too think or too thin. I hate that I work near by because now I have to come back for more.

I just came from here. I’m not sure what everyone is on about but I ordered a California Burger, the bun is cold and flavorless, meat is dry and flavorless. not seasoned at all, the guacamole… also flavorless… is from a squeeze bottle. The fries, so bad. They must have sat in oil for awhile bc they are bitter tasting and hard/burned. Not crispy. Hard. I’m throwing it all away. What a waste on my lunch break/money.

Been coming for awhile now, and this is definitely my favorite place to stop before hitting Bayfair bart. The ladies who have helped us are always nice, and the chefs a cool guy flippin patties in the back. Seeing them make your food right there in the back is cool and they have a little condiment bar with lettuce or spinach, which is cool. This has turned from the best looking thing in the food court at bayfair, to where I actually want to eat before catching a train.

Very friendly woman took me & my boyfriend’s food order. She was very helpful. The salad has a big portion. Comes in a big«to go» box. Worth ordering, esp for the cost. I had the BLT& was very good w/the curly fries. My boyfriend had a burger w/the garlic fries, but the garlic fries was a little too greasy. Still good though hehe. I don’t regret going there. In fact, its a cute little spot in the Bay Fair Center. Check it out for yourself.

This place was absolutely amazing! Wish it was in a better location but this place alone will have me back inside Bayfair mall fighting for a seat. Cheeseburger and onion rings were killer and reminiscent of the old and long gone creamery in Alameda. See u soon!

I had a coupon so I thought I would try it. Great burgers and fries for the coupon value. The shakes could be a little better, but I got one free. The food took 10 minutes to prepare. You can build your own burger on the spot though. The food court itself is located down a flight of escalators from the entrance facing Century 16 theater.

I got a coupon for Digger’s Diner so I thought I would try it. I’ve never eaten there before. I ordered a Bleu cheese burger and a Mushroom burger. Also a order of garlic fries. When my order was ready it was on a tray and i told the girl it was to go. So they wrapped it up and put it in a bag. When I got home I opened the fries and they were really greasy, I had to get paper towels and try to get off the grease. They got my burger wrong and they gave me a Bacon cheese burger instead of a mushroom burger like I ordered. The burgers were both cooked too much and were dry. I called them right away and the girl told me they were getting ready to close. She told me next time I go to tell them and they might give me a discount. I don’t plan on ever going back and I will not recommend them to my friends.

This place is one of our favorites to go for a good juicy burger. It depends on who the cook is whether the burger will be totally great or just average. Fries are okay but we really come for the sloppy juicy burgers.

Wanted to check this out because I wanted a burger but didn’t have time to go all the way Val’s to get it. What a disappointment! My hubby got a bacon cheeseburger and I got a regular cheeseburger. Both patties were sooooo dry and tasteless, i would have gotten a better burger getting one from Burgerking or McD’s down the street. The only reason they get a second star is because the girl at the register was really nice and friendly. Wont be going back.

I am a fan of Digger’s Diner. It is above average diner food and they get props for being unique with their theme and décor and always having good service. I usually get breakfast and got in on some of the deep fried debauchery the last time I was there.

Digger’s Diner has a lively energytic hunky male crew here. they interact with wating customers with small chitchat. contrast this with the mortician mentality of the female crew in hayward. menu: burgers, fries, hot dogs, shakes, fried snacks(oreos, twinkles, etc) eats: 1/3# hamburger(3.99) ordered medium rare –meat slightly red, no juice, no meat taste, some gristle in meat. –meat near medium well. –veggies(purple onion, lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc,) very fresh –bun had nice sweetness. crumbs: –everything besides burger is pricey –located in food court. –open grill. –real meat used here, no pink slime as used by the big D’s.
