I had the mufaletta. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’ve ever had one from the Central Grocery in New Orleans. But as a regular sandwich it wasn’t bad. There was ample meat and cheese. I enjoyed the coleslaw. It was different but good.

By far one of the best sandwiches we have ever had! I had the club sandwich was perfect! I loved the toasted bread and everything was within proportion and they did not skimp on the toppings. Additionally, we had a pulled pork sandwich which was very moist and flavorful. I personally didn’t care so much for the potato salad but I’m picking on that as it is. We will definitely be back!

Hands down the best sandwich shop I’ve been to. I ordered the«the other club sandwich» and the cranberry sauce just did it for me. Incredibly favorable and moist! I also ordered the presto turkey off the lunch special and man… just as great. The cheese was melted just right and the bread was so fresh and perfectly toasted. The potato salad was a match made in heaven with these 2 sandwiches. I will definitely go back soon with hubby. It’s pretty much all I’ve been talking since I’ve tried this place. Lol Also, the inside of this place is absolutely adorable. Reminds me of being in Paris or something. Love it! Perfect for a lunch date.

One star bc of food poisoning within 60 mins of eating my half of a sandwich here(other half I saved, but obviously threw out)! I ordered a pork shoulder sandwich which tasted great, but within a hour I had stomach pains and vomited in a nearby parking lot. This all was accompanied by weakness and headaches to follow. I even have a pic of the vomit as proof(but in good taste will not post). Beware…

All the sandwiches that I’ve ordered are delectable! Their potato salad is fresh and tasty, and the bread is fresh! My usual favorites are: chicken salad, tuna, pulled pork, tri-tip, and the chicken club. Yummy! If you pay cash, you get a complimentary bottle of water or soft drink. ;)

Not going to lie, Joaquin Deli does not skimp. With so many offerings that taste delicious and fresh, I’m surprised that there isn’t a line out of the door. Their delicious tri-tip sandwich is perfectly made with the generous amount but not too much bbq sauce. Warm and salivating. The pesto chicken is the same. Well seasoned and nicely put together. Just watch out for that toothpick! The potato salad is genuinely made and though, I normally shy away from potato salad in case they do it incorrectly, this is out of this world. All in all, get a sandwich, NOW! Because you’re going to truly enjoy it.

We LOVE Joaquin Deli. They are so efficient and organized. We order at least twice a month for our company team lunch. Best way is to email the order, I do a mini spreadsheet with each employee name and their order. Joaquin Deli will bag each persons order with their name on it and even DELIVER! Super convenient, oh did I mention their sandwiches are SODELICIOUS and FRESH. My favorites are the Veggie and Pork Shoulder!!!

Very good spot. I come at least once a week. I have never had anything that wasn’t wonderful. This this the best deli in the area by far.

I don’t understand: the photos on this page simply don’t represent the sandwiches at this place. The counter was empty and only had Columbus pre-packaged deli meat. My «other club» sandwich literally only had 2 layers of meat, not the 6 – 8 shown in these photos. I don’t have high expectations of deli sandwiches and was still SUPER disappointed in this place. I’d rather go to Togo’s anyday. For what it’s worth, the customer service was friendly. To me, that’s not worth that much for an expensive lettuce sandwich.

Disappointing, I came mostly because of the pictures of their meat display, I wanted some freshly cut deli meat. But those pictures are grossly inaccurate now, the container now only holds an array of pre-sliced meat packages you can find at a corner store. Below average sandwich. Very skimpy with the meat, on par with Subway in that regard. My bread(ciabatta) was stale. Lettuce was fresh and crisp, but it was also 50% of the sandwich, not my kind of ratio. The inside is cute but a large TV with sound on kills the mood.

I just found this place but they tell me they’ve been there for 10 years. I had the Reuben, and it was delicious, and came with the most flavorful coleslaw. I think it had a hint of cilantro in the slaw, and was made there fresh — you could tell. Good prices and very friendly people. I will be back.

Thanks Unilocal, never would have found this deli. Great sandwich menu, had the Grilled Chicken wBasil Pesto. Chicken was sliced thin so it made eating very easy. All the flavors mended well. Opens at 11:30 but was closed when I arrived. They were preparing for a large catering job. If you see a closed sign knock on the door.

According to my boyfriend, I am the sandwich queen due to my love and affinity for pretty much anything between two slices of bread. I dropped by here on a whim, saw the great reviews on Unilocal and decided to give it a shot. Working in the East Oakland area, your choices for quality sandwiches and salads are kind of skim, but three miles down the road later I found myself at this cute little blue cottage. It is truly a hidden gem of San Leandro. I called ahead to avoid any kind of lunch time rush and while I had to wait a minute or two, my sandwich accompanied with their potato salad was perfect! After that first visit, I knew it was fate and it’s so sad I no longer work near the area to enjoy it on the weekly basis. But when you get a chance, stop by! The food and employees are top notch. I definitely recommend the Grilled Chicken Pesto sandwich and their potato salad! And as difficult it was to try other things, their other items have not disappoint. **Playa tip: If you pay in cash, free can of soda or bottled water with your purchase!

This review is based on my first visit today. But I can assure you it won’t be the last. This is a cute and clean deli in the middle of a residential area. They prepare and serve food, dine in or take away. You can also buy meats and cheese. The service was top notch. She was sweet, very kind. I paid with cash so she told me I could have a water or canned soda for free. Really? Who passes on that savings to their customers anymore? She told me my order would be ready in 5 minutes, so I sat and logged into their free WiFi. Within the 5 min, she brought my sandwich over in a bag, ready to go! I left $ 1 tip in their jar without even tasting my sammich. Now to the food… A muffuletta. It came with a little container of potato salad. SO. GOOD. Not exactly New Orleans, but close enough to hold me over. The olive spread was very tasty, heavier on black olives than Nawlins versions, but yummy. I walked out the door with a huge sandwich, pot of potato salad and a bottle of water for $ 7. Incredible value. I will be going back and supporting this neighborhood business.

Not impressed. For $ 9, I got a tiny cup of average potato salad, and a ruben with 4 slices of pastrami on it. My friend got a tri tip sandwich with even less meat than I had. You guys need to rethink your portions big time, for $ 2 more dollars I could have gone to Harry’s Hofbrau and got a proper pastrami sandwich as big as my head for the price. Will not be coming here again.

The deli is located in a nice little neighborhood in San Leandro. Plenty of street parking. Upon arriving my girlfriend and I were greeted by the cashier and promptly given a menu and was informed about the daily special. I ordered the lunch box combo: roasted Tri-tip sandwich, potato salad, white macadamia cookie with a soda, all for $ 10. The Tri-tip sandwich was amazing, the BBQ sauce was really good, and the beef was tender and juicy! The potato salad was good, and the cookie was fresh. There’s a whole lot of buzz over the pulled pork sandwich, so I’m definitely going to try that next time. I highly recommend the Tri tip sandwich. After we were done eating, the cook and the cashier asked how the meal was, and we responded with smiles and«food was great»! I plan on returning real soon to try more sandwiches. Yum!

A hidden gem off of E.14th on a residential street.(it’s a house converted into a deli café) Parking is free and pretty painless. Their sandwiches and salads all use the freshest ingredients. I really enjoy their warm sandwiches especially the grilled chicken with asparagus. I’ve also had quite a few of their cold sandwiches and particularly like the Peppered Turkey and Garden Fresh Veggie. They only have a few salad options — I really enjoy the Chicken Caesar Salad — the chicken is smokey in flavor and their croutons are homemade. Their potato salad is soooo yummy — sometimes I just want to order a bowl of it and nothing else! Daily soup specials available — great for cold days or feeling a bit under the weather. They’ve been featured on EYEONTHEBAY which is pretty cool: D Travis is the owner and has always been so accommodating to our large and often LASTMIN catering orders. Amazing customer service! Whenever someone new at work ask about a sandwich spot or catering for meetings, I always tell them about this place. Other notes — Pay in cash and get a free soda. Small selection of Asian can/bottle beverages available. Call in your order to minimize wait time. Stamp card available. Lunch Box specials are good for meetings(includes drink, side, and a dessert treat), catering and delivery available(free on orders over $ 35). Only a few tables available for dine-in. Desserts don’t appear to be homemade but I don’t really care when everything else they offer is so good! CLOSEDSUNDAYS.
