I needed a plastic holder for my business brochures and cards. Mr. Plastics had exactly what I needed at a very reasonable price. Great people– very customer-focused.

It is worth calling them just to hear Angeli answer the phone! These people will work with you even over the phone line to make sure you end up well-informed and make a great decision to get the acrylic you want in the end. As good as it gets!

Really good group to work with, never had any major issues, although a few minor hick ups! they are totally willing to work with you at a very technical level, if you have drawings all the better, as they are computer savy. Excellent customer service all around

I recently had the need of a professional plastic fabricator, lucky for me Mr. Plastics was open and local when I was researching acrylic placards with raised lettering for a time zone project I was working on. Plastic placards with raised glossy black letters, with a nice polish, etc. I was greeted with a friendly knowledgeable staff, who were willing to listen to me explain my need, and provide me expert help and advice regarding my project. They even helped me do some of my own procurement as it was a DIY project with just top level vendor needs, i.e., They also provided me with sample plastics for me to show my client. FYI: Compared to online vendors and other local acrylic fabricators, Mr. Plastics out ran the competition. rw

WASTEOFTIME! I followed reviews telling me to go with these guys instead of several places in SF including the one that is just blocks from my house. What I got was excuses, unexecuted emails, promises and in the end… time lost. When a client has to bug a company repeatedly(after giving them a CC#) for a very simple job and told«yes yes you are next» and still nothing after more than a week then frustration sets in. HOWEVER, when work is delivered it is ONE sample. Are you kidding me? After all that time this is all you can come up with? No thank you I will try my luck somewhere else. SHAMEONYOU Mr. Plastics, you knew I needed this done and you jerked me around.

NOTE: The address is a little confusing. They are part of a building that is at the corner of Alvarado and Aladdin. Thank goodness there are signs up telling you to turn and go up ½ a block. The location pin drop is right, its just weird that this store fronts Aladdin and not Alvarado. Great«little» plastic shop. They have a small front office, but I think the back area is pretty big. When you walk in, the store isn’t setup like TAP, but thats ok. They have a nice gal behind the desk, and a Sales guy was able to help me right away. The pricing is very competitive. I wound up getting some large pieces, 12′ long. And they deliver :) There is a small charge to deliver(To South Fremont for me). But it was WELL worth it. I’ll come here again for the service and the prices. (-½ star for calling months ago, and not getting my promised sample piece in the mail. –½ star, for the location being in a somewhat sketchy looking part of town.)

I moved into a house in Sunnyvale with a custom lighting fixture framing a large skylight. There were several plastic sheets of different lengths along each side serving as the diffuser. It looked unprofessional to the point of being strange. I contacted Mr. Plastics in San Leandro after discovering that HD and even TP did not carry plastic sheeting long enough to run the entire length of the fixture. Janice was very helpful in facilitating the order. She determined that the length of plastic that I needed was available and even gave several options for thickness. Since it only came that large in a clear finish, the plastic would need to be hand-frosted, using a sander. To make sure that I would be okay with the frosted finish, Mr. Plastics sent me a sample to check out before they proceeded. The result was that my lighting fixture went from odd to elegant! The frosting on the plastic looked great. All pieces were properly cut to size. The price was reasonable for custom work & for delivery to Sunnyvale. The end result definitely exceeded my expectations.

This is by far the best place in the east bay to buy anything plastic. They are a smaller store in terms of plastic dealers but the prices and customer service can’t be beat. The salesperson showed me the already cut sheet section, where I found a great piece of acrylic for my next project. She informed me that existing cut sheets were even cheaper! I found a great deal and will definitely be back.

in a day and age where customer service routinely sucks, it was nice to meet Janice and the other helpful staff at Mr Plastics. they are pros but also happy and passionate about the work they do. Mr Plastics delivered above and beyond for my needs.

Ordered some large pieces of acrylic over the phone to have picked up the next day. Janice was super nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. I’m subtracting a star because one of the pieces wasn’t cut very well. You could see the impression of the blade as though they didn’t follow through(rough edge). Luckily, it was on one of the smaller pieces that I could hide on the inside of my build. I’m sure they would have gladly replaced it but they aren’t open on the weekends. I’ll update later as I’ll probably go back.

We had another project for them a few weeks back. We were busy and a quality engineer(yes — really) wanted to help out, so I gave a set of ‘poor’ drawings to the engineer and said call Mr. Plastics. About a day later the engineer comes back, «They had a question about the ends of the box. There are no panels on either end.» I would agree the drawing was poor, but that was what the drawing showed and what we needed. The engineer confirmed their questions and we got the box in about a week and it was perfect. We’ve used them several times prior, always good results and in this case, they took the time to ask about something a little different than what they usually see.

These folks are outstanding — five stars easy. Whether you’re a ReadyMade freak or professional architect, Mr Plastics has what you’re looking for. Great selection of cool materials, knowledgeable service and competitive pricing. I needed some complex cuts on twin wall polycarbonate for a room divider I designed. TAP Plastics tapped out — they charged 2x and wouldn’t do the spec cut. Mr. P gave me a free consult, reviewed my drawings and made some really great suggestions. Cuts were perfect and they delivered the pieces to San Francisco in pristine condition for a nominal charge.
