One of the best tasting phở in the east bay, especially if your around San Leandro cause there is just not any good Vietnamese around this area. Other phở broth just don’t seem right, but this one has the right taste. Don’t expect a 4 star restaurant, it’s just place you would go to to get some good phở and won’t be disappointed… Remember this, phở is just a normal inexpensive food, so don’t rate it like its steak from a fancy restaurant. Also, the price from this place is not bad.

This place is the absolute best phở restaurant i’ve ever been to. My boyfriend and I go all the time.

I was almost done eating a bowl of phở here and I found a hair stuck in a piece of tendon. I waved the guy over and he just nodded and said«normal». I Googled«beef tendon with hair in phở» and there were two other Unilocal reviews that popped up. Both were in So Cal. This leads me to believe that despite the worker’s claim that it is normal – it is NOT. My guess is that they didn’t properly clean the pieces. I’m not a phở expert and generally don’t bother ordering it, but yeah this is gross. I’ve NEVEREVER had this happen anywhere else! Ditto on the other reviewer saying that their bowls are smaller than other places – I had a «regular» sized bowl. I even spotted a sign that says they’ll charge you 25 cents for EACH take out container – can they even do that? If so, why aren’t more places pulling the same stunt? Luckily, this was a dinner of convenience and I won’t be coming back. You might want to order something else if you’re still eating here.

Delicious food but rude staff. The guy practically threw my can of soda at me, never came back to check on our table and overcharged me. The restaurant is nomad size but crowded. With tables and chairs. I know I’m complaining but it was delicious and I’ll probably go back. lol

Quite good, flavorful broth and fresh food. I came here when I was sick and the phở made me feel better. I’ll definitely go back.

I used to come here more often on Sundays but not as often as I used to because our church moved. But this is a go to place for some of our favorite dishes like the #106 fried chow fun noodles, seafood egg noodle soup and #L10 fried fish fillet with a big scoop of rice and a fried eggroll. There is a waiter who has known us for years and so we always feel right at home here. He always knows the usual items we order.

My boyfriend and I are regulars here. Love the food and the people. The waiter there knows what we «always» order: Beef Combination Noodle. And did I say that their Thai Tea is the best that I’ve had from all other phở restaurants?

I didn’t enjoy the phở here at all. The noodle were really soft that it just melted in my mouth. There was no bite to it. The broth was also only warm when I got it, so it cooled down really fast. The service was also pretty bad. The place was crowded for sunday lunch, but I got my order messed up twice, and i had to ask the waiter at least 4 times for some water. Would not be coming again to this place.

I’ve been coming here for a long time and I love this place! Although the place itself looks pretty run down, it’s functional. That’s about it. It can get loud when there are a lot of people in there but the service is fast and the food is great! I always get #10XL. It comes out to about $ 10 and it is enough for one giant meal for me. Although the food comes out fast, it can be hard to get their attention to refill your water. The greeter(the owner?) and the people at the register are friendly but most of the staff does not seem to speak much English. The coffee is amazing. I will be coming back here for a long time! Their broth is godly.

Great customer service. They get super busy but always keep a smiling face. The first time I went it was freezing outside and the owner gave my friends and I complimentary jasmine tea. Love this place.

Oh yes, phở was heavenly, I got what I wanted and was happy happy happy. Party member ordered the«chicken soup» and was very disappointed. We told her to get the phở but she«wanted to experiment».

This place is making money hand over fist. Okay, the food isn’t bad. It’s packed today. It’s raining; people order phở, fine. Service is quick, for sure. My only complaint is that they’re so damn cheap. They’ve let the carpets absorb every kind of odor and fluid, it’s filthy. Get rid of it. It’s threadbare and disgusting. They charge for every little to go container. Don’t even bother to tip, they want you to pay at the register. Might as well be cafeteria style.

I was a bit skeptic coming here for phở, considering it is in San Leandro and all, but surprisingly their phở was quite delicious. The flavors and the right aroma was there. I enjoyed their egg rolls with the fish sauce as well. Service, like every asian restaurant is whatever. The place is pretty big. Food came out fast and I was fed = happy camper.

After about a half day of shopping(that’s all I can really take before losing it) at Marina Square, my sister and I wanted something tasty, but affordable, so we decided to try the Vietnamese around the corner from my place. There was plenty of seating, we were promptly waited on, and were surprised by the large menu. We shared the fresh shrimp spring rolls and the fried shrimp. — the spring rolls were freshly made and a decent size, however, they were bland or missing some herbs that would have made a difference. They had the shrimp, lettuce, and mugbean sprouts, and that’s it. I was in need of a taste of cilantro, mint, and/or basil. Something a little more to give some flavor aside from what the sauce was providing. — the fried shrimp came looking very sad. They were unevenly cooked and had apparently gotten stuck to the bottom of the pan because there were pieces of breading missing from several pieces. They were overly greasy as well. We didn’t finish these. For my meal, I had the pork and eggroll vermicelli bowl. Good portions and decent taste. Nothing special, and frankly, I have had better. It was very minimal in effort to impress. Despite this place being very close to home, I believe I will be going the extra mile to get my Vietnamese fix because this just didn’t do it.

Checked this spot out and was surprised how packed it was on a Wednesday at about 7pm. We figured that was a good sign. I had their Won Ton Noodle soup and it was okay. Their broth was a little different than what I’m used to at other Phở spots. But otherwise, it was decent. Also had their Spring Rolls, which came out late, not sure why. They were totally meh, I wouldn’t order it again. Service…eh, pretty much the same as you’d expect at most Phở spots: fast, questionable(as you put my bowl in front of me, your thumb is in my bowl, almost touching my soup!), and abrupt. But again, you don’t go to a phở spot expecting five-star hospitality, that aint ever gonna happen! Overall, it’s okay, definitely going to check out other Phở spots before coming back here though.

I am a regular there and we have never been disappointed. Their soup is good just like everything else on their menu. I recommend the porkchops. They also have a very good avocado smoothie. Their service is good too.

Love coming to this place. I come here often enough not only for their extremely fast service but for the delicious food too. I have their phở every now and then but I especially love their beef lemongrass & taro smoothie!

Alright — caved and we came back here. It’s open pretty late which helped us decide on where to go(we went at 9:15 pm). Maybe because it wasn’t as busy as it was the last time I went, but the service was very quick. This time I ordered the combo meat and seafood clay pot and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was very tender and flavorful and the vegetables were nice and crunchy. The rice was also not just steamed, it was fried which bumped up the flavor even more. I also really enjoyed the small bowl of phở soup that came with the dish. The only negative I would say about this order is that it is a pretty small portion. I fell a little short from feeling completely full at the end of the meal, but overall it was pretty satisfying. Fineee I will probably come back — but the service seems to be tremendously slower during peak business times. Ambiance: 2⁄5 Food: 4.5÷5 Service: 4⁄5 Overall experience: 3.75÷5

+/-THE FOOD I always get some variation of phở here. I love their huge portions and cheap prices. The quality of the soup is mediocre, not having a very prominent beef taste. Noodles are pretty fresh and never soggy. They don’t skimp on the meat so you get your money’s worth. Despite having a large and diverse menu, I wish they would serve bun rieu or bun bo hue here, which are two of my favorites. The smoothies, especially the avocado smoothie, are a hit here! They make everything freshly and with real fruits– no powder at all. + THESERVICE The main reason why I like this place is because they’re extremely quick. Many of the servers can speak both Vietnamese and Chinese in addition to English, so it’s a very comfortable environment.

The phở doesn’t particularly stand out here, but somehow this is the default place to go to in San Leandro when my friends and I want phở. There are other places in the area(within 10 – 15 minutes of driving) which probably have better phở but this place will do if you live around here and don’t want to go out of your way. It’s also pretty good for groups — the place is always busy whenever I come but there’s never a wait because tables open up pretty often. Other than their phở, I’ve had their chicken wings which I didn’t like that much because they seemed… soggy? Probably the only way to describe it.
