If you live in the Lake Chabot area of Castro Valley, don’t use Verizon. I rarely have more than one bar, once in a while I can find a second bar. When I chance making a call, it usually drops off. Very frustrating. When my husband called to complain, he was brushed off and told it was due to the hills in our area. There is a cell tower across the street but Verizon has chosen not to use it. Once our contract runs out, we will dump them like our calls are being dumped.

unknowledgeable staff overpriced phones compared to the other verizon stores not a wide range of phone selections looks like a cheap wireless store where they carry various wireless provider phones and accessories. this store needs to go. the store on Davis St by Walmart is more appealing and it’s a real verizon store.

I read all the East Bay reviews for Verizon stores and was discouraged that most of the reviews were pretty bad. I went to this new Verizon shop in San Leandro because it didn’t have a Unilocal review yet, so that was promising. Well, as it turnwed out, it was a very positive experience. Yesenia, the sales clerk, was exceptional. Very helpful will all of my and my wife’s questions, lots of deals and calls to her manager to arrange things like… FREE $ 89 phone for my mother-in-law, Verizon paying HALF of my $ 600AT&T cancelation fees(3 phones… EEK! …I hate AT&T by the way… they SUCK!) Yesenia got all my contacts and data transferred, she slipped in a 25% discount on the car charger and she was super friendly and pleasant which made the somewhat long process of deciding and purchasing pretty darn positive. If you’re in the East Bay, I highly recommend this Verizon Shop!!! (* I gave four stars vs. five stars because I’m always leary that five stars means someone who works there posted the review…)
