Buffalo Pub and Grill

If you wanted to be treated like a human being don’t go here. While some of the staff is friendly the «management» is rude and argumentative. The food wasn’t eatable and when we tried to send it back the manager demanded to know what was so terrible. She became aggressive with the group and demanded the bill be paid immediately and that we leave. She did not take care of the food issue and was extremely rude. This behavior is completely unacceptable for a service industry establishment.

Great staff and happy hour! Would have given them four stars but the new menu made me sad. They took my favorite off the menu! No more mussels

Owner comes across as arrogant and bothered. Maybe he should be in an office and not at the bar. All of the other bartenders and staff are amazing!

I love this bar! They have the best food out of all the bars downtown. Try the carnitas tacos or the pastrami sandwich! Alicia is a great bar tender and always brings good vibes to the place. A must stop for your San Luis Obispo trip if you are from out of town or a local.

Great service!!! We were lucky to have a lady named Desiree as our server. She was so nice and professional. Please give her a raise, because I’m sure you will have a lot of return customers due to her service.
The food tasted great and was well presented. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!!!

Ok, it’s Halloween night so I know the bartenders are stressed, but I was just minding my own business and waiting for the line to go down as everyone exited and their bouncers/​workers were quite rude. The way they treated myself and the other people was unacceptable. If you own a bar you have to deal with rude people. If you can’t handle it, sell your bar. I was minding my own business and resting my feet as the line dwindled to exit the vicinity and I was asked to exit quickly as if I had a choice. If I were making a scene or acting like a complete idiot or even if I could exit quickly then I would have done so.
I’m sure your bar will do fine as you are in a college town, but I will never be back.

I just returned from a short trip to San Luis Obispo visiting a friend, and we spent a very fun evening at Buffalo. To be honest, this place was one of my most favorite spots during my entire trip. It was unpretentious, comfortable and with amazing service. Tori, the wonder bartender who kept completely on top of things and with a smile whenever things got a bit busy, was a total delight the entire night. Plus, her laugh is contagious! Drinks were perfectly made and the food was so good. (Had the BBQ shrimp salad. YUM!) Was there for trivia night and we had such a good time.
All in all, everyone, regulars and strangers, there was super friendly, and the staff was really top notch. Will definitely go back when I’m back in SLO.

This is a review for the late night bar. I have not been here for the food, though I’ve heard its great.
But lets talk about the bar. Thursday-​Saturday nights they’ve got a great DJ who plays the best mix in all of downtown. Tori the bartender is soooo fun! For a friend’s birthday she made a fun drink and had my friend rest their head against the bar while she poured it in their mouth! A great bartender can make everything so much better (thanks Tori). Their bouncer is called Big Fish, and he is a no-​nonsense guy. Secretly, though, he is the nicest guy ever and will make sure you’re having a great time too!
I also like how they play cartoons on the TVs. That is kind of fun and I get mesmerized watching the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote fighting. Anyway. Drinks are a normal price, and I’ve never paid a cover charge. So if you’re looking for something with a little more breathing room than MoTav, more mainstream than Frog & Peach, and less sweaty than Marston’s, then get to Buffalo ASAP.

This place… is everything a great bar should be. Plenty of seats at the long bar, booth and pub table seating as well for a little more privacy. In the heart of downtown SLO, big open widows facing the busy street. They have music playing, but also several TV’s strategically placed for us sports fans. Great beers on tap, stiff drinks to boot. And a MAJOR bonus… incredible pub grub menu! From killer buffalo wings, to escargot if you can believe it… with all the BOMB burgers, sandos, salads, etc in between. Service is always friendly and stellar. Our favorite place in our favorite little town… and there are many to choose from around here. Go into the Buffalo Pub and enjoy yourself!

It’s simple: excellent service, good pours, very good food and it’s clean. Throw in consistently perfect Bloody Mary’s, a comfortable bar to sit at, and Buffalo Pub is my MUST VISIT when I’m looking for an adult beverage.

Had a great time here on Monday during trivia night. Great selection of beer. I recommend their roast beef dip sandwich and albondiga soup. Friendly staff.

Just a GREAT place for some good food, some good drinks and good people.
Went pub crawling for my birthday and so happy we were able to walk in to the Buffalo … my wofe and I are so looking forward to going back again … OH and if you want garlic fries they have GARLIC fries … not a vampire within hundreds of miles is gonna get near us
They also had live music and it wasn’t bad

These place was great! We had brunch here twice. The cheese burger wrap was awesome. Add bacon and it’s like a breakfast burrito! You can substitute hamburger for buffalo meat which I did. It was awesome. I had a barrel house IPA with it. It made it all come together! Delicious!!!

Love this place. Clean, friendly, local pub. Pastrami sandwich. Hands down the best in town. Bartenders are friendly and helpful and pour good drinks. Even brought a group of my girlfriends here on girls weekend. All of them loved it even though they questioned me when we walked in. I’m pretty picky when it comes to food but I’ve never had a bad meal here.

Wow diamond in the ruff!!! I went with the Ahi salad and my son mushroom burger. I will be back!!!

Great little place to stop in and have a beer and a light bite to eat!!! The atmosphere here is great! what a cool place!!!

Came in on a Wednesday evening when I was stopping through SLO for the night. This place immediately stood out to me because a lot of the bars’ happy hour ends at 6 but this one’s ran later. Service was great and the food was good. The atmosphere was nice, very relaxed, not too crowded, not too loud. My boyfriend and I got the buffalo chicken nachos and the fried calamari to share. Both were delicious. The spicy aoli accompanying the calamari was excellent. The best thing about this place was the beer selection though. Great beers on tap.

Wall to wall, packed. Eight deep at the bar. We walked in, waited our turn, and we were served in under two minutes. They were at maximum capacity, and they performed like it was the easiest thing in the world. Amazing service. I can not recommend this place enough.

Went on New Years day. Fun group and great music. We had the burgers. Pretty good. Good classic bar !

Wait was long, guess it waa becauae it was Christmas day and they had more customers then usual. but the Food was great! Their burgers are HUGE for the price! Overall i would go there again.
