Had a hard time parking, but that’s only because the line was to the door and around the corner. No complaints here — just wanted to say I love you. #Chipotbae

I’d eat here everyday if I could! Such good food! My only complaint is when I get someone with weak arms to roll my burrito! I want that food packed together and not floppy. Nobody likes a floppy burrito. The food is always fresh here and I love going cuz its so close to campus!

First off, I love chipotle… but this is the second time I’ve been here in 2 weeks and have been given uncooked rice, to-go. Considering how bowls are made, I obviously can’t pick it out so I’m forced to eat it unless I want to waste the whole meal. Secondly, the line was out the door today and one of the workers was getting off so he decided to get his food made ahead of us. When I worked in the food business, employees had to wait if it was that busy. Especially considering that there was only 2 workers making burritos/bowls and about 15 people in line behind me. Lastly, there wasn’t much steak so instead of asking me to wait, I was asked to pick something else. I didn’t mind, but just mentioning that it’s not necessarily what I wanted. She could’ve checked the wait on steak and informed me, but she didn’t. 2 stars because the staff is very friendly and I love Chipotle, but unfortunately wouldn’t come back to this location. Can’t wait to be in a city with multiple locations!

I go to chipotle consistently in Texas Arizona and Southern California, by far the service, friendliness and attentiveness is hands down amazing here. The food is great and this is the only location that has the organic marinated tofu, so if you’re a vegetarian you can enjoy a complete meal.

The food is okay(hard to screw up rice and beans) but the quantity is extremely inconsistent. Last time I went I was ordering 2 bowls to go. The girl did one spoonful of the Black beans and put half in one bowl and half in the other? I had to ask for more and when I did she looked perturbed. When I asked for more of the Fajata vegetables she took the tongs and grabbed ONE more green pepper slice. I really don’t understand why they Are so stingy on rice and beans. I mean those are 2 of the cheapest foods around — what they always send to third world countries. For $ 6.50 I want more than half a spoonful. The only good thing is you can just keep asking for more and since they make it right in front of you you don’t have to worry about them spitting in your food

Our favorite choose you own ingredients place in town. Everyone can get what they want according to their dietary needs and it’s always yummy!

I have been a Chipotle lover for many years and this place doesn’t disappoint. I’m always greeted when entering and they always say goodbye(not many restaurants still do that!). The food is great, even though they sometimes skimp on the portions – just ask for more and they’ll give you more! I come back to this place all of the time… But, sadly, the Coke Zero spout is broken a lot, then Diet Coke has to suffice. That’s the only real complaint :)

I loved the atmosphere here! Sitting outside in the evening, listening to the music, it was lovely. Staff were friendly and the food was as good as any other Chipotle I’ve been to, I recommend doubling up on the meat though cause there’s never enough given in the first round ;)

This is probably my favorite fast food in San Marcos. I eat here generally once a week in between classes and work. The location makes it very convenient to get there and back quickly from campus. The staff is always friendly and the food is, for the most part, always very good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

YUM. My first visit here, was my second Chipotle visit ever. And I had been with a regular. So when I went by myself to this location(confusing, I know), I had kinda forgotten how to go about ordering. The guy behind the counter was really friendly and helpful. And when you’re tired of Freebirds, it’s an easy and quick alternative. Lot’s of vegetarian choices, so it’s good for my Lenten visits. My boyfriend hates it though.

I’ve always been a fan of chipotle’s burrito bowls and had been craving one for weeeeeks but this experience had me contemplating if I even wanted to step foot in there again… at least to this location! Lets begin my quick rant on Chipotle. I ordered a bowl… so it began with the rice — crunchy & not fresh, a little scoop of mushy black beans, a skimpy portion of steak then a heavy handed scoop of sour cream and corn salsa. I decided to go for the $ 1.80 extra(yes… the price went up) scoop of guacamole and a bag of chips($ 1.25 and it came with 12 chips. no joke!). To say the least, I was disappointed in my Chipotle experience. I doubt I’ll ever go back. If I am craving a burrito or burrito bowl, you’ll find me at Zookas!

This Chipotle has some of the best service in town. The food is always fresh, the servers always friendly, and I’m always pleased by my burrito. The lime-cilantro rice is awesome. Freebird’s has recently introduced their own version and it doesn’t even come close. It’s also vegan, as are the black beans. The charro beans are not, as they have bacon in them. I absolutely love that you get free guac when ordering a veggie dish. It always baffles me when vegetarian options are as expensive, or more expensive, than chicken. This is just another example of Chipotle making an effort to focus on their customers. My favorite experience with Chipotle has to be how willing they are to make things exactly how you want them. A few weeks ago I came in a little before they closed for the night for an emergency nighttime burrito, and they were almost out of the corn salsa. I was perfectly happy to scrape the last bits into my burrito, but the manager insisted on preparing a whole new batch with only fifteen minutes to go before closing. As I watched them throw together all the ingredients, another person came by, took one look at my burrito, and said, «This is too cold, make her a new one.» I quickly protested — I don’t like seeing food go to waste — but the fact that they were willing to scrap a half-made burrito just so my finished product was as fresh and warm as humanly possible says a lot about their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. Chipotle has made a loyal customer out of me for a long time to come.

I’d have to place Chiptle a solid notch below Freebirds but overall a great product. First the company, then the food. Chiptle does more than give lip service to «local» and«natural». While«local» may only mean sourced in the US, that’s a damn sight much better than most chains. And knowing I’m getting hormone and antibiotic meats is important to me. Lastly, they do spend a few extra pennies on sourcing recycled bags, containers, etc. Let’s hope the trend continues and they offer more non-plastic materials where possible. Now, the food: Of all the possible filling, the pork is especially good and the grill is always going behind the counter. I’ve actually had to wait for hot meat right off the grill to be cut. I don’t know how you can get much fresher than that. The salsas and guac are always fresh as well. The flavor is good, I can taste all the ingredients, with sweet corn and a nice slow burn at the back of your mouth from the medium salsa. Sometimes the tortillas can get a bit soggy depending upon what you order and how they spoon it up. A minor pet peeve, but it does take away from the YUM factor. So, go easy on the salsas. I can usually make a couple of meals out of one burrito if I’m not famished. The benefit of the supersizing of America, I guess. Is it pricier than Taco Hell next door? Yes. But if you are willing to put that stuff in your body, you probably will not want to pay the difference, muchless understand it.

San Marcos vegetarians, you can’t beat a quick meal at Chipotle. There aren’t a plethora of choices in town, and Chipotle is relatively fresh, affordable, and tasty. If only they offered tofu… Tip: Guacamole is free for vegetarian dishes. If hungry, ask for guac on the side, load up on other toppings, and order a side bag of chips with your meal. Saves you two dollars, if you planned in getting chips anyway.

I L-O-V-E Chipotle and this particular restaurant did not disappoint. The food was good, the place was clean, and the people working there were nice. What more could you want?

So, I’m not a huge chain restaurant fan, but as a vegan, chains are often the most reliable source of a for-sure vegan meal. One example of this is Chipotle. Their website lists all the ingredients for you and informs you which items are vegetarian and which are vegan, which is a great resource in a fast food world of sketchy menus and questionable ingredients. They claim to use a percentage of locally sourced ingredients, and have at least attempted to put on the face of a environmentally friendly corporation(well, at least compared to say, McDonalds or Jack in the Box), which is a step in the right direction. I believe they even have a couple of LEED certified restaurants. So, they get some points from me there. How is the food though? Every time I have been, the food has been fresh. I usually get the veggie bowl. The rice is tender, although it contains lots of chopped cilantro which isn’t my favorite. Black beans are delicious and well seasoned. Fajita vegetables are crisp and not over sauteed/mushy, which is one of my major gripes with Zookas. The salsas are flavorful, and my combo of the roasted corn salsa and red arbol salsa adds plenty of flavor. The guacamole is excellent and they give you a good sized portion for your money, as opposed to Zookas, where you might only get a tiny scoop. For $ 6, the price is right and I am definitely full after a bowl. A bonus — if you eat in, you can add three types of Tabasco to your burrito/bowl(regular, chipotle and jalapeño). Awesome! I’d give 4.5 stars if I could, taking off a half star for the amount of cilantro in the rice. Otherwise if you have to eat at a chain, this is a hard one to fault.

I’m not sure why folks are fond of this place. It’s fast food much like their«Children of a Lesser God» kin next door and across the street, Taco Bell and Jack-in-the-Box, only with frou-frou drinks and abounding expanses of glass and stainless. I’ve heard they’re supposed to be good because the food is fresh. Yes it is fresh, certainly as fresh as anything made this morning and sitting on the counter bar all day can be. Anyone can scoop prepared food out of a bin in front of your eyes and give you the illusion of fresh. How it actually tastes tells the tale. I’ve heard they’re supposed to be green, because they use recyclable plates that you toss in the trash(?) and reusable plastic baskets. Heck, Italian garden next door uses washable glass plates and real silverware, and they don’t throw them away after you eat from them. Most of all, it’s expensive for what you get. I ordered a $ 6.25 Steak Salad today, $ 8.70 with fountain drink. Meat and lettuce were few and far between, and I felt i paid too much for mostly rice, black beans, and salsa. Nothing I ate was flavorful. I’ll bet I could have been as content dumping the salad and eating the paperboard bowl. I promised myself I’d never eat at a Chipotle again after the one on Brodie in Sunset Valley ripped me off on one of their bowls. I went against my better judgment and this experience only served to reinforce my opinion of this«Chain Drain» restaurant. C’mon guys, if you think this food is truly good, get your head out of the grease trap and try a real restaurant for a change. This place is just waiting for the next pretentious yuppie to come along and chant their corporate mantra while wasting money here.

I ate at this chipotle at least once a week for two years before my grad classes. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, the food is fresh, the service is fast. Five stars for fast food that doesn’t taste like fast food. My favorite dish? The veggie burrito bowl. It comes with their deliciously fresh and creamy guacamole so it is far more economical than the meat dishes. The with meat dishes cost more plus you pay extra for the not-to-miss guac. With the free cup of water, the cost of this fresh and fast meal can’t be beat.

The crew members and managers at this Chipotle are very social and nice. The food always looks good and the flavors are consistent throughout my visits. This place is perfect when one is in need of a warm hearty meal that happens to be rather cheap for the amount of food that you get. I suggest the burrito bowl, which is everything that comes in a burrito without the tortilla. It would be cool if Chipotle offered whole wheat or multi-grain tortillas. The good news is that, according to their website, the healthier version of their traditional tortilla is in the works. The ambiance is nice, although the loud music does not make it a good place to study.
