Great pizza and Knots. We live be the Buffalo Cesar salad. Craft beers on tap but the need to change it up. Same breweries gets old. Gluten free menu

Probably one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. I have had pizza all over the US, including North Beach style in SF, deep dish in Chicago, New York style in NY and some good pizzas in San Diego, but this Flippin’ Pizza was just plain bad. We had a pepperoni and combo pizza and both were so bad nobody wanted a 2nd piece.

I called in an order for their artichoke pizza at 620 pm on my way home from the airport(I was in an über so I did not have the luxury of waiting). The guy on the phone said about 30 minutes so I said no problem. As I get to San Marcos on the 78, roughly 25 minutes later, the same jackass that took my order calls me to tell me that they ran out of artichokes. He proceeds to ask me what I want in its place so I tell him nothing, I will take the pizza without it. He then tells me they havent put the pizza in yet and by this point I am getting off Twin Oaks. I told him to forget it. I dont know why this place gets the hype but I am never ordering from them again.

Awful service, if you’re gonna go to flippin pizza go to the one in Carlsbad or Encinitas. The staff needs serious work on there customer service. They seem like they don’t like being there. Management are also very rude making my pregnant wife stand in line for 10 minutes while the workers were all standing in the back not working. When someone did finally come to the counter, some guy I’m assuming was the manager made the order taker, take a phone order because«phone orders are priority.» Needless to say I said that’s enough and we walked out and will never return.

The pizza dough is good for this type of pizza establishment. It’s tasty and has a great texture. The toppings are typical but the sauce is tangy. The issue I have is the pizza has been delivered luke warm to cold three times in a row. We even asked for«well done«and«super hot». Tonight was so cold-barely lukewarm we threw out most of the pizza– the cheese had concealed again. Too bad– we(and our neighbors) order a lot of pizza.

I didn’t read all the reviews before I ordered delivery and now I wish I had because it took 1.5 hours to get s pizza on a Thursday night! And I live only 2.3 miles away! That’s why I called them in the first place! The pizza is basically good but — if we’re telling details — the veggie topping we ordered was uncooked, like they forgot to bake it the peppers and onions! I got polite, non-answers the 4 times I called to complain about the late delivery. Nevertheless, comping me or words of empathy mean little when your food is late. I probably will not order their pizza again and will definitely not order delivery. Too bad because we like the pizza potential.

My son is a picky eater some pizza places he will only eat the pepperoni. Here at flippins he will eat everything and that is huge for me. Good food!

The service here was very good. The guy working was so nice. I got the first batch of pizza. I made a whole pizza of 8 different slices and he charged me for a whole pie which is cheaper than by the slice. They have beer on tap and specials too. The pizza was awesome. Couldn’t pick a favorite. Buffalo chicken was perfect. They do all pizzas by the slice except for Bronx, veggie, and 4 cheese. I will definitely be back.

So I stop by Flippin pizza again for lunch because James the owner reach out to me on Unilocal because of the experience I had. So I had to give the place a Second chance. I have to say had a way better experience! The pizza turn out very well and it was good. Mika I believe that’s his name was very friendly and helpful and he answer my questions I may have about the pizza, nice kid. I will be coming back again now!

It’s definitely a good place to bring toddlers. They had the 1 slice, salad and a drink for $ 8, which was definitely filling for me. I liked the fact that the employees were very welcoming with their greetings in and out of the restaurant. My kids don’t normally like tomatoes slices on their pizza, but they gobbled up the tomato and basil pizza. :)

I realize it has been a long time sonce the initial review but I thought it necessary to say this place really took/takes suggestions and is amazing. The staff is friendly and always accomodating, and the food is consistent, fresh, and delicious. Clean, fast, family friendly. Also a great spot for a lunch break. Go their regularly now and will continue to do so.

Something changed here, and it’s for the better! Since my initial review update, I’ve been back here at least a handful of times. I usually order a half cheese/half pepperoni pizza well done(or crispy as some places call it). The workers are always nice, very friendly, and the pizza is pretty good now. They offer gluten free pizza which is perfect when my parents come to visit. My mom eats gluten free and now we can all have pizza together. I’ve had their salads and they’re good too. My only gripe is the dressing for the Oh Baby salad(which happens to be my favorite). It’s a thick, gloppy mess. I use my own homemade dressing instead. Sometimes I dine in. They have a pretty decent beer selection, which includes happy hour pizza/beer specials. They host fundraisers for local schools and sports leagues. Can’t go wrong with a fundraiser! Their delivery service is easy– you can call them or order online. Depending on the time you order, delivery can take 45 minutes but that doesn’t bother me. They’ll tell you before you place your order. While Brooklyn Boyz in Oceanside is still my favorite, Flippin’ Pizza is good for delivery when I don’t feel like cooking or driving to Oceanside.

The pizza is yummy but rather slim on the toppings. The crust was disappointing, it was very flat and dry. I usually enjoy eating a good crust but in this case I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. I really only went here because it was close to the CSUSM campus and it has a 2 slices with a drink $ 7 deal.

We gave flippin another shot since the manager made a point of tracking us down to fix the bad experience we had previoisly. We had the artichoke pizza and really enjoyed it, along with a chesse pizza for the little ones. We are happy customers once again!

I’m consistently happy coming here. The prices are so fair and service is so friendly. The food is always good(and I love their Caesar salad)… Attractive workers don’t hurt either ;) I like vibe here a lot. It’s chill. But the relaxed vibe doesn’t bring down the cleanliness or consistency of service. I always appreciate that workers keep working(no one is slacking) and the restaurant is always kept clean. Even the bathroom. Good job guys :)

Update We have gone here now for a couple of months and have brought our extended famiky and we love it. They have loved the pizza and the salads as well. What I really like about this place is that it’s consistently very good. This is our pizza spot from now on. Love it! My wife and I just moved to the area and I’m a huge fan of pizza(not to mention that after NYC, I miss thin crust, NYC-style saah-sage pizza :) We walked into this place, tried a couple of slices and then ordered two more. Not bad for a pizzeria in San Marcos! We’ve been back for a whole pie already and will be going back. Pretty good overall!

Ordered a half veggie half cheese pizza online for delivery(they only offer one size). Made a request for green olives to be added to the pizza and they immediately called me to let me know they don’t carry green olives and to make sure my order was correct. When I did the online order I did it wrong… not sure if it was me or if the online ordering was confusing. I’ll take the blame for this one… afterall I did just have a margarita. ha! They seemed genuinely interested in making my pizza exactly as I wanted it. Delivery took a little bit of time(they quoted an hour). The delivery guy was really friendly. Great pizza; thin crust just like I like it and huge slices(I had to cut a few in half) and it re-heats well for left overs. My pizza was $ 20. I would definitely order from them again.

WHAT A GEM! Came here to watch the USA vs. BEL game upon finding out that Players what filled to capacity(WTF). At first glance, I was impressed by the décor. My roommates have come here numerous times, but I imagined a dinky, to-go pizza place, but no! I like the brick walls and the beer specials on chalkboard. A low key bar that shouldn’t be overlooked! My fave was the buffalo chicken classic pizza with Frank’s hot sauce!!! Also, awesome customer service. Would come here again.
