After a long drive we stopped by here and they have the best pizza ever! Great service, fast, good location. I highly suggest trying the white pepperoni pizza. Super duper yummy!

I’m gluten free and it’s not very often that you get GF options on a menu and informed servers. Music was a bit weird — played JZ.

After a long day at legoland, we decided to eat at fratellis instead of our hotel. We made a great decision. The food at fratellis was delicious with nice hearty portions. We went during their Tuscan tuesdays and got half off our wine bottle. What was really impressive was the service we received. David D., our waiter, walked us through the menu and house specials. He was incredibly friendly and we couldn’t have received better service. If i was a local I’d be at fratellis more often, the next time in so cal I’ll make sure to come to fratellis. And to those you of locals or those of you just driving by or if you’re visiting legoland make sure to come to fratellis for good food and great service.

When this place first opened, I had my doubts, but they have since perfected their fettuccine alfredo recipe and it is my absolute favorite! I love it with the broccoli and their sauce is so garlicky and creamy. The service is always spectacular. It is a great location right in restaurant row and a nice classy atmosphere but still casual enough that it doesn’t feel stuffy. One of the best Italian restaurants in North County!

The wife and I along with friends attended Fratelli’s in San Marcos first music night, a truly relaxing and enjoyable couple of hours with beautiful acoustic guitar music and an amazing wine recommendation by Brandon to begin with. When the first glasses were empty, our server brought the baked mostacholi, the dish was hot, rich with flavor and loved by us all, great dish! Really a perfect all around evening experience. High stars!

An excellent choice for those who want Italian food on Restaurant Row in San Marcos, their food is outstanding with a wide selection of traditional Italian dishes. Had the linguini with clams which was a great choice for a light pasta dinner. The wine list was not very large, but the wines on there are all high quality. Topped it all off with their cheesecake which was a great compliment to the dinner.

I came for lunch around 1: pm by myself. Service was great. Food was good but lacked the flavor I was looking for. The clams were fresh and the fresh basil was nice but the sauce was practically just butter. I enjoyed it but I feel like perhaps some added clam juice would’ve gone a long way. I would give this place another try but not have the clams sauce again. Sometimes you live and learn.

Love love this place! It used to be Bruno’s which I was pretty bummed it closed but this new place is awesome. Carries a lot of local tap beers, Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Stout is Things to try: Pepperoni Pinwheels(which you get complimentary, when you check in on Unilocal) Delicious, Veal Marsala is insane, Bruschetta app, and the Spaghetti Bolognese with Meatballs is awesome because of their home made tomato sauce. For dessert it was a tough decision, it all looked amazing but we settled with the Tiramisu which again is made in house-superb. Will be back for more :)

Me and the hubby were pleasantly surprised by this place. We’ve been hunting for a nice cozy and welcoming Italian spot in the area and this may be it?! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and seated right away. Our waiter, Henry(i think that was his name), we believe, is what helped made our experience great. He was awesome. We ordered a special, apps, and pizza. The food was good and the pizza very yum! The service overall was very attentive. We would def come back based off our experience here.

This place is awesome! My wife and I went here for dinner tonight. We came because of the great reviews on Unilocal and the free appetizer would check in. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a smile and a customer service is great the whole evening! The servers were very attentive to our needs. A lot of customizations on our pizza. Everything was delicious.

Peanut Butter stout. Peanut butter love in a glass. dark bold full bodied layers and flavors of perfection enhanced by some sweet love notes that floated down fro the Italian food gods up above. Angel hair pasta fine and delicate, adhering to the alfredo sauce from a childhood in Italy I wish I had. to top it off a slice of pure tantalizing decadence drizzled with caramel. that cheesecake. that raspberry cheesecake. I dont know how many Italian mothers they have running kitchen but the recipes have such a home cooked quality driven standard you swear that someone spent years roaming the world to come up with thee most perfect ingredients to create such a phenomenal eating experience. There were diners that stood up and danced to the music playing in the background… how do you top that? The Manager was attentive, kind and went out of his way to assure that we had everything we needed wanted and forgot to think of to ask for. Brandon catered to our table, everything he recommended was phenomenal. The peanut butter beauty in a glass hi-lited the pasta and italian sausage that I ordered which came out as soon as I put it in, my mother loveddd the spinach and broccoli so much so that she ordered a second round and my sister was beyond full from her gorgeous bowl of pasta perfection… The staff members were constantly roaming around the dining area, making sure everyone had what they needed/wanted and were not hesitant in answering questions. Im an art student and I painted a portrait that looked pretty similar to one of the waiters about a year ago for one of my classes, he was cool enough to let me take his picture but I never got his name. It’s the tiniest details that takes an establishment from okay to exquisite. There is a pride that will push this place so far. This is my new favorite place… we’ll for sure be coming back.

Since moving to San Marcos from Carlsbad this has been our go to spot for great Italian Food. Excellent service and Food is wonderful down to the Cannoli. Good assortment of beer and wines. On one of our visits, the Pizza, Pepperoni White Pie, was a slight overcooked on the crust. They were the ones that told us before serving it and let us know they were going to cook another — It was not burnt or anything — but it was great that they checked with us first before putting it on our table. That makes them Aces in my book They are a Fine group that really want to please their customers.

Ate here for the first time last week since this was Bruno’s. We arrived for lunch and were seated immediately. The staff were very friendly and attentive. 3 of us each had a Caesar salad(very good) and then shared a large pizza. The pizza was really good, excellent crust and toppings(forget the name, the one with everything on it) we even had pizza left over! Nice job. Fratelli’s!

I took my wife to this place for my birthday dinner. When we walked in, there was very heavy smoke from burnt oil. It smelled more like a fast-food burger place, not a garlic and olive oil place. We decided to give it a try based on its 4-stars review on Unilocal. My wife order a pasta — it turned out very good and the plate was very generous. I ordered a pizza on, as advertised, locally made pizza dough. Toppings were OK, the crust was not. It wasn’t freshly made. At least it didn’t taste like one. I’ll probably walk in when I’m around to check what is was about with this burnt oil smoke but it will not by my first choice for pizza.

I’ve eaten here twice before and I had a slightly unpleasant experience with one of their dishes on the 2nd visit which almost got my family saying it was okay«but no thanks». I posted my experience on Unilocal and I must say. Their management team took my bad experience seriously and reached out to me apologizing and asked that we give them another shot. Well guess what? They kept their promise to improve the dish and I must say after eating there today. It was absolutely heaven. «Bravo» Braaaaavo!. Well done! Food was perfect along with the outstanding service from their waiter Henry’ Food– A+ Service– A+… Thank you again Henry! for making it an even better experience with your excellent service. I told my son that fritellis is our Sunday spot from here on. People!!! This place will deliver’

This place was absolutely amazing. Great relaxed vibe and wonderful food. We did the Unilocal check in deal for an $ 18 bottle of house wine and settled on the merlot, it was an excellent wine for an $ 18 bottle. We then started out with the Argula Salad, which comes with Bosch Pears that were to die for. For my entrée, I had the pesto totellini with shrimp and it was seriously the best pesto I’ve ever had and the shrimp was tender and delicious. My husband had the chicken Parmesan and it was huge and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well. We were only in town for the weekend but if I lived here, I would definitely be a regular. Better Italian then I’ve been able to find for the price anywhere in LA.

Lunch review. 3.5 stars Overall it was a good experience. The food tasted fresh and the tomato sauce had plenty of flavor. The good stuff. The lunch menu had limited, but satisfactory lunch combos including sandwich choices. I had the meatball sub with the garlic fries. The garlic fries were the star while the meatball sub was just okay. Kids Mac-n-Cheese was pretty good too, but note that it’s not the Kraft orange stuff that some places offer. This version was in a creamy white cheese sauce. I was lucky enough to taste some lasagna, which was rich and creamy. Overall, everything was good. Gripes — They charged 2 something extra for each kid’s meal drink. 8 bucks for a kids pepperoni pizza plus 2 bucks for the drink… ouch — Expensive overall. Final thoughts — Much better than Olive Garden. Better than Macaroni Grill(though I think both Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill have better table side bread) Kids get to pick from a «Dentist style» treasure chest. The service was efficient and they accepted my Unilocal king discount without issue. The décor is dark and dated. It can be pricy, even for lunch.

Valentine’s Day… tried to walk into Carmela’s at 5:15 without a reservation because they don’t usually take reservations for parties of 2. Quickly found out that Valentine’s Day is the exception to this rule. I can never win or remember all their rules. We drove over to Restaurant Row hoping to find Italian food and found Fratelli’s. No reservations but was quoted 45 minutes. We were seated in about 20 minutes. All the employees were friendly. I ordered my usual, Chicken Marsala. My husband ordered his usual, Chicken Parmigiana. Both dishes are usually served with Linguine. I asked for the lower carb option, broccoli. My Chicken Marsala was good, not the best i’ve ever had but good. My husband’s Chicken Parmigiana was a little salty and rubbery. We also ordered a small pizza for an appetizer but it didn’t come out until right before our entrees. The pizza was good. The crust was thin but still crispy. Overall, a nice Valentine’s Day experience.
