Have been a patient here for 25 years and recently had a jaw issue that was scary and painful. Dr. Clevenger saw me quickly and assessed the situation, diagnosed the problem and suggested how I proceed. I recently received a new splint and will return next week for another check of how I’m doing. I really appreciated his understanding and expertise and that of his staff. Very good Dentist and very good practice.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr Clevenger for at least 12 years.
I have had major work done and I can honestly say that I have never experienced any problems with any of his dental work. He knows his business. Carmen, Maryann,
Nancy and Marilee are terrific. They make going to the dentist enjoyable.
We moved to the East Bay 7 years ago, but we continue to come. When you have
such a great team, why would you try someone else. They all truly care about their
patients.

I’m a WIMP when it comes to going to the dentist. Today, I had a deep cleaning (root planing) and Dr. Clevenger made it painless! Even the local anesthetic didn’t hurt (and I had 4 of them)…I am so happy that Clevenger took care of me today. He was kind, humorous and very gentle, giving me the play-​by-​play. His team is great also.
Other dentists have tried to scare me into getting things done, and Dr. Clevenger never takes that approach. He will do everything to make your experience comfortable, pain-​free, and pleasant. In and out. Just like that. Thorough and efficient.
I have had regular cleanings here before and HIGHLY recommend seeing Dr. Clevenger and his team.

My whole family have been Dr. Clevenger’s patients for over 10 years now. Even though San Mateo is not that close to where we live, we even don’t think to change the dentist. The main reason is the trust and the feeling of having our teeth in «good hands». The doctor and the staff are always friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable, including Mary-​Ann, who is in charge of billing and dealing with insurance. I would highly recommend this dental office.

his work is top notch, the office staff and nurse and hygienist are friendly/​efficient.

I love Dr. Clevenger and his staff! They are so friendly, professional, and thorough. They answer all my questions, and are so patient. I have never had a dental staff explain so much to me and really let me know what is going on with my teeth! I used to hate the dentist, and now I love them! They have also been so successful in helping me with chipped fillings, teeth whitening for my wedding, and making retainers for me to help move my teeth without having to buy Invisalign!

Love, love, love this office:) Dr. Clevenger is the BEST dentist ever and so incredibly accomodating. Fantastic bedside manners and a great dentist. I am crazy about my teeth but always trust Dr. Clevenger and his staff will take care of them. I have been a patient for about five years now and I would recommend him to anyone.

I went to him for 3 years or so. He is friendly, takes his time to explain what he needs to do and why it’s necessary, which I appreciated. Staff are respectful. However, for a DDS, at the end of the day, what matters if the quality of the skill. He did 2 cappings, I have major problems with each. I now changed dentists and the new dentists said they are in a terrible shape and need to be replaced. The insurance won’t replace them until they’re 5 years old. I had complained to Dr. Clevenger many times about them, he kept saying I need to wait, recovery can take 3−3−3, 3 days, 3 weeks or 3 months. My new dentist laughed when he heard this!

Dr Clevenger and his team is good for simple stuff like fillings, cleaning etc.
Unfortunately I wont be able to talk the same way for bigger problems.
He did a very bad job on my crown as well as my wife’s crowns. It was a disappointing experience.
