Fantastic!!! I recently lost 20+ lbs and have dresses, pants and skirts that I want to wear again instead of throw away. Looked this up on Unilocal and I’m thrilled with service and quality. The owner is lovely and friendly, gives excellent fitting advice and her work is amazing. So far I have had 1 top and 2 dresses done. I have a skirt and 2 more dresses with her now. Her fees are very reasonable considering the quality of her work and God only knows what she is paying in astronomical rent that is being charged to businesses in down town San Mateo these days!
So glad I found this place!

I had a great experience here! I recently got a pants suit for an interview, and every piece needed tailoring – the silk blouse, the pants, and the jacket. Took everything in and got blouse sleeves shortened and tapered, jacket sleeves shortened, and pants hemmed – all incredibly professional quality work, for just about $ 80. Done in a week and I couldn’t be happier. Everything looked better than new, and was nicely fitted. Thanks again for your help!

My husband and boys have had many alterations here, Suits, jeans, hems. We are happy every time! Prices fair too!
Used to go to San Francisco, to the Neiman Marcus tailor — prices are much higher for same quality.

I asked Mai to make 3 leather pillow cases for me. She was very honest about what was possible with the amount of fabric I had, she quoted me a price 30% lower than the 3 other tailors I had called, and she found a fabric for the back of the pillows that she thought would be a better match than what I had provided and called me back to take a look at it. She’s very meticulous, honest, and reasonably priced, and my pillows look perfect.

I believe the owner worked at Nordstrom as a talior for many years. Her work is professional and pricing reflects that quality outcome. Don’t expect a 15 minute hem job — they do quality alterations — worth the wait!

I have had around a dozen items altered here, picking some more up today. She does an excellent job and matches the current stitching perfectly.
I used to go to a place off Burlingame Ave and they messed up a couple of items. Here nothing but the best quality. The main alterationist/​owner used to work at Nordstrom’s; I even recognized her.
I will say you can probably get things done somewhere else a little cheaper but it’s worth something for that piece of mind that I will get a quality alteration. She doesn’t take credit cards so bring cash or a check. Don’t get me wrong it is cheaper than Nordstrom’s but more than the dry cleaner around the corner.
