Ken, Kyle and their crews just completed a full re-​roofing and gutter/​downspout replacement for our San Rafael home. They did a great job. I’m pleased with the GAF roofing materials. Their crews were professional, neat and quit. They were a bit more expense than other bids I received, but I would absolutely use them again based on my experience and as I don’t want to cut corners on something as critical and long lasting as our roof.

Kyle is super responsive, happy to trade text messages if more convenient, and made the process very easy to schedule and get done. I’m still amazed they squeezed us in. The gutters look great. A pleasure to work with.

OK he called back on the third day and explained that he has been very busy and I was on the list to get a call. He has a very good reputation, so other than the calling problem I have hopes all will be good.

It has been three days waiting for them to cal back. I called them everyday and left a message, but they did not return the call. If you are too busy for new business, you should leave a message to that affect, instead of letting people sit and wait for a call that never comes.

Ken and his crew installed a top-​notch roof on our home this summer. He worked to get the job done within a limited timeframe, accommodating our schedule despite being heavily booked. Ken also exercised diligence and restraint by not opening up our roof on the date originally planned when an unlikely thunderstorm in July struck that would have wreaked havoc on our recently purchased home. The end result was fantastic and incorporated all of the upgrades we requested at a very fair price. Ken handled all of the permitting and coordinated inspections making the process smooth and pain-​free. Thank you to Ken and his team of professionals!!!

The Unilocal definition of a one star rating, «Eek! Methinks not» perfectly describes my conclusion. While Ken and his son came quickly to provide an estimate for a minor leak in my roof, they claimed not to be able to localize the source of the leak, and therefore proposed to charge over $ 3200 to remove an extensive area of shingles to diagnose and repair this leak, and wouldn’t be able to get to the repair for at least a month.
I solicited and received a second opinion from another trusted local provider, who quickly diagnosed and repaired the leak, as he had done once before on a different portion of the roof, for a total bill if $ 85, or 2% of Ken’s (verbal) estimate.
Thus I would conclude, once again, «Methinks not.»

Mr Cooper and his company saved us during the big storms earlier this year. He came in and put on a new roof in a few days and we have been dry ever since!!!
It was desperate times for us and we appreciated their effort to help us out.

We talked to about 6 roofers to get a new roof. Ken Cooper Roofing was not the lowest bid, but they really were the company we wanted to go with. I meet Kyle (Ken’s son) for the first visit, and had a good feeling about them. It wasn’t about the cheapest, but more about who seemed to care about the work, and they got first pick.
The team is great, fast and clean; Francisco knows what he’s doing, really great experience.
On the day they opened up the roof, I saw all that mess in the garage and the attic, I thought ‘d have so much cleaning to do that night. I came home in the evening and it was all cleaned up, really appreciated that they cleaned up nicely behind them!
I had some extra garbage that I had to somehow take to the dump, and they were ok with using their truck to help clear that as well.
Ken and Kyle are good with letting you know everything up front. I’m glad they are both involved and both come to the house, shows that they care about what their workers do. I didn’t have the signed contract printed and checks ready when they came back the second time, and they were very understanding and worked through the service without requesting the 10% deposit, showed they trusted us, and are not worried about the quality of their work.

Had a roof done by Ken and crew a couple of years ago. Recently got a notice from the County of Marin that the final inspection was never scheduled and that I owed them a fee. Called Ken, and he was shocked, apologized, and immediately offered to take care of the fee. Good customer service !

I’ve known Ken Cooper and his family my whole life, but this was the first time I had the pleasure of working with him.
After receiving a very reasonable estimate, Ken told me his crew would show up between 8 & 830 last Thursday at my Terra Linda home. Well, they got here at 730, which was a nice surprise compared to some contractors I’ve hired over the years.
The first day, my 28-​year-​old roof was removed. By 4pm the next afternoon, I had a gorgeous new roof that matched the old one in color. But it also now has a horizontal ridge line at its apex to help my ceiling fan vent hot air more efficiently.

Can’t wait for our first rain of the year, to see how our new rain flow gutter guards perform with our new seamless gutters. We hired Ken Cooper Roofing to put a new composition roof on our home in Redwood City. I called them to schedule an appointment (which was super easy) and they were out to my place within days! Ken and his son, did a detailed inspection of my 40+ year old wood shake roof and give me an estimate for a new one. They were on time, very personable and explained everything in detail, to my husband and I. Within days, Ken had a crew out to replace my roof and install a new gutter system. All of this was done at a fantastic price and was completed (permits and all) within 3 days! My job was not easy one, A crane was needed to bring in the roofing materials, as I live in a tri-​level home. Each day his crew showed up on time and was very professional. They took extra care to clean up and they even swept my driveway. Ken contacted me each day his crew was here, to not only touch base with me but, to ask if I was pleased with both the work and how the job was progressing. Something almost unheard of in the construction industry. I am so thankful to have found this company. They are honest, dependable, offer a great Warranty and really seem to care about their customers by tending to even the smallest of details, that unfortunately, many other companies don’t take the time to do.
