I order a salami sandwich today with mustard lettuce Tomato on a French roll. There was like five slice of salami and two tomatoes and lettuce I paid 7.99 for this which included a bag of chips. If I wanted a bread sandwich I would of order one. I work hard for me money and wanted a deli sandwich. Will not return again.

I have 3 words for this place. What A dump. I’ve been working in San Rafael now for a couple weeks and I’ve gone to this place a few times as its relatively cost efficient. However, they really can’t make a sandwich to save their lives. I order a custom sandwich that consists of the exact same ingredients every time. And every time something is forgotten! The worst part is I try to tell them slowly so they can possibly remember and they look at my like I’m brain dead. I don’t think they get they’re the ones who can’t remember… Just like others have noted here as well, the food isn’t super fresh either. I think this will be last day at Perry’s. 1 star for being a super let down. Service is mediocre at best and I’ve been completely ignored before. It’s very obvious they have no management on site at all.

Ordered a turkey on wheat sandwich last Sunday. It was terrible: the turkey had a rotten taste to it. I’ve had sandwiches there in my 30 yrs. in Marin but that was my last.

My BLT was a good size but it was not fresh at all. Pre cooked bacon that was thrown into a microwave to be warmed. Old soggy tomatoes and limp lettuce. The sandwich was also very bland. Customer service & size each receive a star. That’s it.

This family owned and operated deli and grocery has a wide variety of fresh, delicious sandwiches, hot plates, and all the side snacks and drinks you could wish for. With its convenient downtown location, Perry’s is the classical blue and white-collar deli that caters to the workingman’s every hungry need.

WaHoo! it was a stroll down memory lane today when I meandered over to Perry’s Deli on Lincoln Avenue today. Located next to the Sol Food Restaurant on the corner adn nestled next to the adjoining Cuban dleicatessen they also cater at, it was easy to see the business has been altered by this popular corner. Still, I enjoyed going into the deli and finding it not so much changed since the last time I went. The tables were still towards the back and a couple of tables were also outside to be enjoyed this dunny Satyrday. Drinks? Yes, in the same place lining the left hand wall and with a good selection, many not even around the last time I partook of this establishment. I saw the random middle shelf of chips and I perused the deli area where the salads were located as I waioted for a Turkey on whole wheat with everything save onion and some added Jack cheese the Menu board contained many specialty combinations and included hot sandwiches as well as a hot food bar. I also spied some orange jello with fruit, one of two kinds offered along with the famous HUGE kosher dill pickles I love. All in all, it is not the ambience of many places today, but the service was with a smile and reminded me of all the many reasons this has always been a favorite place of mine and well, if busines is not what it used to be, neither am I. I got a great place to sit and people watch downtown and enjoyed an awesome sandwich that made me smile. YES! I will be back.

Damn, this place makes an awesome BLT. They pile the bacon on, and it’s nice and crisp and not fatty. I get it on dutch crunch, and they somehow sort of flatten the bread so it’s not super-thick. I can’t eat a BLT anywhere else now, they’re so paltry and disappointing incomparison to this place’s. I also really like the people who work here. They’re as sweet as they can be.

Perry’s is a strange looking deli. the sammie making station is on the right. the sodas, cold drinks are on the left, the middle is occupied by chips, snacks, sodas, racks, etc. there isn’t a specific area to stand. patrons just wait till they’e called upon. a handwritten makeshift menu is on the overhead.(ominous sign? not here) eats: homemade meat loaf w/provolone(6.45) in toasted sour dough –huge sammie, 5 stars for the amount of meat loaf –meat loaf dry, i.e. lean meat, flavored by faint spices. –sammie maker helpful in suggesting cheese, toasted sour dough bread. –usual tomato, lettuce, peppers, yummy. –not the usual meat loaf, but still great! crumbs: –extremely friendly, helpful service –boars jerk chicken available. –service relatively fast…

Very easily the worst sandwich I have ever had the misfortune to eat. The bread was completely falling apart to the point of being inedible, most likely from being drenched in so much mayo and mustard, the pastrami was tough, gristly and without question the worst I have ever had, and the veggies were clearly not fresh or of anything resembling proper quality. Avoid like the plague…

The ladies who work here are super nice. The sandwiches are big, packed with meat, and on the cheap side. This could be the best deli in Marin. It’s also open pretty early which is nice. Try the Pastrami Bomb.

Hi there. I work near the deli and go there every day for a custom-made sandwich, which I eat at my desk while I work. I usually get a pastrami sandwich, which is almost as good as the pastrami sandwiches in Manhattan, which are my favorite all-time sandwiches. So in other words, Perry’s is almost as good as the top delis in the city known for its top delis. It’s great to have them nearby. The employees are good-natured, too. They also remember how I like my sandwiches and make them perfectly. It’s a joy to buy my sandwiches there – and eat them. The one time I had an issue with the deli, only one time, was with an employee I had never seen before in my six months of eating sandwiches there. When I walked in, he was sneezing repeatedly into the air where the sandwich ingredients were kept. I probably should have gone somewhere else that day. Then the sneezing guy took my order and made it wrong. I should have checked, but I didn’t discover the mistake until I got back to work, and had to walk all the way back, where another employee made a replacement sandwich perfectly. A little irritating, but oh well. Probably a one in a hundred chance of that happening again at Perry’s. These guys are batting a .990 when it comes to making great sandwiches with a great attitude. Go eat there and you won’t regret it.

This place is the bomb… THEPASTRAMIBOMB!!!(That’s one of their sandwiches.) Anyway, yes, this deli is very good. Great chips, good service, good meat, etc. I usually do get the P-Bomb sandwich and it is always amazing — it’s like one of those sandwiches where you finish and you realize that you’ve lost track of time, you have avocado all over your face, and you feel this weird satiated Oneness with all things(particularly pastrami, cheese, avocado, tomato, and jalapeño on wheat bread). I don’t know what else to say — it’s a good deli. Enjoy.

I worked here in high school and over summer breaks in college so I guess I’m pretty biased but I think Perry’s has super awesome sandwiches and service. The family that owns this one(two sisters, Theresa and Katie) are very sweet and accomodate making anything to order. Its a full service deli that also does catering and has a pretty wide spread of options. Sandwiches are huge and a great value compared to many other options in Marin, or even San Rafael. Best veggie sandos ever!

I’ve been coming here about every week for 6 months now and I’m not tired of a thing. The Italian Sub is among the best I’ve had. Not a toasted sub ala-Captain Submarine or Viking, but better in the ingredient department. Real mortadella, dry salami, other less identifiable pink meats. Lots of peppers if you ask for them. It rules. The ladies who work there are very sweet even to customers who aren’t. Even the younger cute one with the B-52 hairdo is sweet! Perry’s attracts a diverse crowd, from lawyer-types to bums to day laborers to whatever the hell I am. Unfortunately I cannot recommend taking any dates to this one because the bums who chill in the back drinking malt liquor and eating tuna sandwiches don’t leave a lot of seats and kinda smell the place up with aforementioned tuna and cheap booze.

Really good sandwiches and great service In a full Deli. Classic and tasty sandwiches. It’s good to see a place that isn’t worried about making a sandwich piled with enough stuff that if makes a mess. love it. It’s hard to really screw up a sandwich, yea, but it is not so easy to find a really great one these days. These guys hook it up, and they have plenty of options, even if you’re a vegetarian.
