I work nearby, and come here often for lunch(much easier than going all the way to downtown San Rafael). I usually order online and it’s always ready by the time I get there 10 – 20 minutes later. The BLT on ciabatta is really good(get avocado. You won’t regret it) and their Greek salad with chicken is also great(and filling). I treat myself to their breakfast sandwich once in a while and it’s always tasty. I’ve never had a problem with their service and I’m here at least once a week. I found that if you’re kind, people are generally kind back =)

Best breakfast sandwich for miles! Made to order with my choice of bread. Coffee was good. Nice choice of magazines and newspapers. Will be back if I am in the area!

I’ll never go back here again. I had a «breakfast sandwich» this morning. My past reviews of this place have been a bit long-winded, so I’ll keep this one brief, with a summary description of food and service… Food: Dry, NO seasoning at all, dull and bland and… weird. Like, who has a breakfast sandwich on their menu and doesn’t even offer it with a bagel or English muffin, just sliced bread. Service: I can only deduce, after coming here periodically for years, that the woman who owns this establishment has some sort of personal problem with me. Not sure what I’ve ever done to her, especially as I used to eat at this place just about every workday(I just dealt with the awful food for the sake of close-by convenience). I might go here if they were giving away free water and I were dying of thirst. MIGHT

The chicken coconut curry soup is super yummy! It’s a must have!!! Service was great as well! I can’t wait to go back. I’m sad I am not local so I will miss this place!

It’s a bummer, I usually love love love supporting small businesses. I recently starting working at the building right around the corner, so today I thought I try them out. I was on a time restraint, so I ordered a mixed green salads, thought it would take a short time to make. I waited for almost 15 min, thought maybe they were slammed. Hey weren’t. I saw a salad ready on the coffee counter, looked like mine. A gentleman came in, ordered what I ordered, and got my salad. People that came before me we’re getting their food fast and promptly. The result, got a refund with no apology or sympathy, employee that doesn’t smile tried to rush a salad as soon as I demanded a refund, and returned to work with no nutrition. I am sharing my experience with everyone in the office. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back and am just going to whole foods or Safeway for my salads from now on.

Best«pour-over» coffee in all of Marin — ground fresh to order from a large selection of coffee bean roasts! Easy parking and fast service for a great cup of coffee. They also make good soups and many kinds of tasty sandwiches — I’ve been into their chicken chipotle wraps lately. Simple dining area, but fine for a quick deli meal and delicious coffee.

I love their choices of coffee and their breakfast sandwich is spot on. I come here most mornings for coffee and breakfast sandwich. Service is great and they’re aren’t ever too busy to come in and go without a long wait. Take my word. Try this place out. Turkey avocado sandwich is fresh and tasty. Haven’t tried a lot on the menu, but haven’t ever been displeased with anything I have tried. The bay café!

This is the first time I have been here. The shop itself is not much, in fact it is a bit messy which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. but. I had the French Dip and I think it might have been the best sandwich I have ever had. I was there at about 1 pm and it was pretty quiet.

The food and coffee at this place are pretty good. I really love the breakfast sandwich on the wide variety of bagels that they have, and the sandwiches are fresh and delicious. Although(sometimes) friendly, the service here is very slow, and the environment is not very comfortable or conducive to sitting and eating in-restaurant.

I found the French dip. Excellent. I found this on Unilocal. It was awesome. Never would have never found this without Unilocal. The food was amazing. I do think calling in an order would be helpful. It gets really super busy. They might need to hire two or three people to help out more.

Alice is no longer working there. The pour over coffees are good — but they are not Philz. The Unilocal highlight reviews are years out of date! They do NOT sell PHILZ coffee and do not have freshly baked goods — freshly delivered maybe!

I have not had a bad meal here. I love the monte cristo sandwich(although they use AVOCADO?)and dont say on menu, but they were glad to fix it. The eggs benedict, pancakes and fresh pressed apple juice are excellent. I can’t walk by without smelling something that makes me want to order food there!

Well, not so much. I mean if you need a place to stop in for a coffee I guess. The gal working there was super nice at least. She served me a frittata which as really, well she was very nice so i’m trying to be nice, but it was inedible. It was frittata in the form of meatloaf, heated in a microwave, and it came out looking like sliced brains. I don’t know. But again she was very nice.

I am now an apple cinnamon scone addict. Try their pastries, especially if you come in first thing in the morning when they’ve just been pulled from the oven. Heavenly!

Place is walking distance from the Bay Trail, and from my office. Great coffee and pretty solid sandwiches. The coffee is a bit expensive, because they use the«pour over» method(although I’m not sure why this costs more than most places charge for an Americano?). I like the veggie delight as a wrap. Some jazzy music, getting rid of the florescent lights, and adding couple of comfy chairs would help improve the atmosphere and make it feel like a retreat from the office, instead of an extension of the office(and get me to come more often).

I dig this place for the fact that it’s cozy, has a good selection(considering it’s random location), and happens to be the only thing accessible from my office. The coffee is superb. I’ve only had two soups from there, but the chicken gumbo was quite nice. The grilled cheese sandwich was delicious. What more can I say? This place is quaint for what/where it is. Don’t hate.

Sandwiches, Coffee, Cliff Bars, Sodas: a tiny little café in an area with few other options. I bet they get a few San Quentin guards as regulars.

The reviews were so old and not so great that I wasn’t even sure this place was still open. To my pleasure it was. Nice, friendly service. My turkey sandwich was fresh, filling and tasty. Nice outdoor seating and an area to take a nice walk behind the strip mall. I’m looking forward to returning when I have more time. The setting was comfortable for doing work and/or a light read.
