I highly recommend Liz. i have thick, wavy frizzy hair and she did an outstanding job. She is very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do. I got my perfect cut and color! Her suggestions were great that match my lifestyle. I am definitely taking my next apt with her.

Vincent is a great stylist and will give you a cut that flatters your face and fits your lifestyle. He is funny and easy to talk to.
The salon is also clean and welcoming. I will definitely return to Mu Salon and see Vincent again.

I don’t have a regular hair salon here in San Ramon yet as I still want to look for someone who can cut my unruly, frizzy, thick long hair. I read in some of the Unilocal reviews that Vincent is very knowledgeable and great in cutting Asian hairs. I took the chances based on the few reviews for him and booked an appointment for a haircut and color.
He examined my hair carefully and gave me gave me his input on how he would cut and treat my hair and as my hair was damaged from Japanese treatment and hair color gone wrong at a different hair salon. I was just open to any suggestion at this point. My hair cut came out great. It feels light and easy to maintain and the color covers up some of the grays I’m starting to have.
Not sure if I will return to him though. I do understand that he is skilled and knows what he does but I just don’t have to get it rubbed in my face with a cocky attitude. Some clients might relate to him more but I think I will still look for other stylist in this area.
But if you are looking for a skilled person you want to get your hair cut and who knows how to dry cut your hair! He is your person (but it comes also with a big personality and $$$)

I have recently discovered Liz at Mu Salon. My daughter has been seeing Liz for over a year and absolutely loves her. I don’t live in the area so hadn’t yet decided to start commuting to get my hair done. Everyone knows once you find your stylist, that’s it-you’ll follow him or her to the ends of the earth. So I knew once I took that first drive out to San Ramon it could turn out to be the first of many. And it did. The salon itself is super cute and modern, but Liz is the reason I come. She’s done amazing colors for me, giving me great advice but also loves to go outside the box if that’s what I’m feeling. If you are in the market for a new stylist I couldn’t recommend anyone better!

I have been coming to Mu Salon for the past two years and the transformation that my hair has gone through with the help of Liz LaForce has been a wonderful adventure. She is as creatively bold as she is masterfully skilled, and her eye for coloring and cutting with fantastic technique is amazing to witness. My hair is pretty thick and used to have a mind of it’s own, that is, until Liz recommend I try the Brazilian smoothing treatment, and ever since then, my hair has changed for the better. I have transitioned from brunette to blonde highlights to golden blonde and now to a deep and fun shade of red, all thanks to the adventurous relationship that I have forged with Liz. I simply would not trust my hair with anyone else. Thank you, Liz, for not only being such a wonderful hair stylist/​genius with color correction, but also my dear friend. Looking forward to many more «hair-​ventures»!!!

So, I just moved in the area and was salon-​searching. I Unilocaled and came across Mu.
I went in today for the first time and wanted partial highlights, root touch-​up and a cut. My stylist today was Roxanne. I liked her instantly! She gave me her complete and undivided attention right from the consult to the blow dry. Her suggestions were spot on. My hair turned out to be just gorgeous! Left as a very happy and satisfied customer. Loved my experience here and this from now on is my salon. Definitely recommended!

This place rocks! I recently moved here and wasn’t sure which salon was the best choice. I made the mistake of going to snob salon in downtown Pleasanton, never again. Finding Liz at Mu Salon was luck and may I say very good luck! I’ve never been happier and her skills are unbelievable. I thought I use to get a good haircut in Chicago but wow was I wrong. I can’t say enough about the salon too, great atmosphere and super friendly team.

This is a great salon. Rudi cut my hair and was really good at talking to me first so we could figure out what would work best. She gave me an awesome bob that I am very pleased with. I will definitely return. The salon is also very bright, open and has a good vibe. Plenty of parking. All around good experience!

New to the area so I trusted Unilocal reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Vincent rocked it with great color and highlights! He’s highly skilled and has an art for hair, not to mention charismatic and quite funny. I’ll definitely be back!

My review is a little late since I had my brazilian blowout done here last year, but I enjoyed my experience here. Liz did my brazilian blowout and also my hair cut a few months after and it came out amazing! I have A LOT of hair and semi course hair that can be hard to manage. I feel like some stylist rush through my hair and hate that they have to deal with so much, but not Liz! She took her time and made sure that I loved the end result. She also gave me tips on how to get my hair in better shape and healthy again. The prices for their brazilians and keratin treatments are just on the pricey side compared to where I use to go in Sac, but this is also the bay area so not too surprised.

I had the most amazing experience with Yadira at Mu Salon! I had been growing my hair to donate– which meant chopping off 10 inches! She took time to measure everything out for me and make sure it was just perfect ! Her technique is amazing & there is so much attention to detail! She really listens to exactly what you want, she’s so patient & accommodating and then– she just makes it happen!!! I could not be happier & she’s hopefully forever my new stylist! For anyone who has had bad past experiences at a salon– try Yadira at Mu & past «salon trauma» will vanish!!!

I took a chance as a walk-​in and was lucky enough to get Vincent! If you have Asian hair you must see him! So glad I happened to have the time and they were able to see me right away. I’ve been to a lot of salons from Danville to San Francisco and his was probably the best cut I’ve ever gotten! He predicted that I don’t spend a lot of time on my hair and suggested a cut that was very low maintenance yet very current. He cut it dry and it turned out amazing! I will definitely come back to see him from now on. I like that Mu is a friendly salon too… no snooty attitudes here.

What a fantastic experience! My Daughter has been going to Mu Salon for over a year and is always happy with their service. My hair is thinning and I needed help. I went in to ask about hair extensions.
The whole staff is so professional and accommodating. Rudi spent a lot of time in a free consultation explaining options and what would be the best plan for my situation.
I would like long hair, but decided to take Rudi’s advice and trim 2 inches off so it is not weighted down. I had my hair colored and cut and already it looks so much thicker and healthier! It is still below my shoulders and looks long but not as thin.
Rudi provided several tips to help keep my hair healthier. I like the fact that her and her staff are very friendly but not gossipy or trying too hard to make conversation.
Even though I love the results, I need to face the fact that my hair will never be as thick as it was when I was younger. I ordered Quickie hair extensions and Rudi will be putting them in next week.

Lauren is amazing ! She always does a fabulous job on my hair ! My last visit I had a Brazilian blow out, hair cut and color service. My hair has never looked better, I have received numerous compliments on how great the color and cut is.

Liz is unbelievably accommodating. Our first appointment with her was a walk-​in for my husband, and while she was working on him, I could tell she was leaps and bounds above the barbers he normally had butcher his hair.
When his turn out looking better than I’d ever seen it, I immediately booked an appointment for myself.
I’m never looking back. She’s now our family stylist.
Not only that but she’s super sweet, we had to last minute reschedule twice in one week, and then when we finally did show up, we were nearly an hour late. She didn’t complain and worked us in as she could and gave us flawless hair cuts.
She even gave my mom a great hair cut, and she is the pickiest person you’ll ever meet. I was so scared that she would walk away saying rude things to sweet Liz, but Liz made her feel great and she loves her hair cut!

Mu Salon is a cosmopolitan slice of the City right in San Ramon. The salon is well-​managed and everyone makes you feel right at home. LIZ is my stylist and she is FABULOUS. I can’t recommend her enough. She comes from a Fifth Avenue Salon in New York and is extremely knowledgeable about cut, color and the correct style for your hair type and texture. I always get compliments on my hair and it’s all because of LIZ. Highly recommend!

I have been to many salons and this was, by far, the worst experience. I walked away with a really bad hair cut and pink hair. In addition, a 2hr appt took 3.5 hours.
I judge a salon by the people that work there. I expect their hair to be healthy, stylish and current. This was not the case, at all. I was stuck with a junior stylist who made a disaster of my hair.
I am now having to go to a salon in San Fran to get my hair corrected.
If you value your hair, do not go here. There wasn’t anything positive I could say about this place, other than free parking.

Got my hair done here today after seeing Coco for a consult… she was very sweet and took the time to discuss my hair. The actual cut was great, she explained products/​tools, and she did not rush. The salon itself is tucked in the plaza by Heller Jewelers (on Crow Canyon) and has a cute, trendy ambiance. Overall, great place and I will be going back :)

I LOVE Vincent, he can highlight dark hair without using bleach, he’s a total hair magician! He cares about the health of your hair as well as the appearance of it… he also gives great tips on how to take care of your hair properly & maintaining your color at home! He’s a master stylist & has trained at Vidal Sasoon in London (I think), he’s a great listener & gives you a FLATTERING cut & color that looks right on you… and if something you want might not be that great, he’ll be honest & let you know, and gives you some other creative ideas that might suit you better. He also won’t do things that damage your hair (ie: bleaching your black hair into a platinum blonde, and doing extensions & making your hair fall out) haha
Go to Vincent, he’s the best! But make sure you make an appointment a few weeks in advance, he’s a busy guy!
