I brought an out of town corporate business group to this establishment tonight. We had called and made a reservation several weeks ago. When I arrived a few minutes early and announced our reservation I was greeted with a very rude«that’s not happening» from a an indifferent host. When I questioned him, his story changed three times, first insisting they didn’t take reservations, then saying he had held a table but they got busy and gave it away, then returning curtly to the we don’t take reservations brush off. Outrageous behavior and we will never bring our corporate business there again. Shame on them.

Food was sub-par and the service was horrible! Went in to eat tonight with my family and after about 10 minutes with the employees we wanted to leave, but already ordered so we stayed. Will not be coming back. The food was not very good(we tried the hamburger, fish and chips, as well as the salmon) and the waiter was very rude. I do not recommend!

Great beer selection(Pliny on tap). I had a burger, and it wasn’t great. The patty was a perfect cylinder, which made me think it was frozen, rather than freshly made. 3 stars, mainly because of the beer.

Good food and service — and the patio is fabulous. Facility needs a face lift, but if you like good food outdoor eating and nice people, then this is the place to go.

We love this local joint! A great place to meet friends for a pint, food is always good and service is great. Last night we had Brent, so friendly and helpful with our large group. Happy to have The Hop Yard down the street!

The food here is great and they have a nice selection of different kinds of salads, but I found the service to be just mediocre. It took a while to get our drinks refilled and even for our check to be delivered. Will I be back? Eh, not sure…

Good selection of beer on tap. Food is okay. But service is just bad. Plenty of young ladies running around, but mostly standing around chatting with each other. All the while I sat at an empty table for a good 10 minutes. If it wasn’t for the bad traffic that day I would’ve left.

VERY rude service. Management was not available to discuss our concerns. We waited over 20 minutes to get our soft drinks at lunch and left before we got our food. I WOULDNOTRECOMMENDTHISRESTAURANT.

Work’s out, beers in. My co-worker and I hit this place up after a short day at the office. It’s a little hard to get to on the GPS navigation, but it’s definitely in the Buffalo Wild Wings plaza, right next to CVS. There’s a decent amount of parking around, so you shouldn’t have to worry about losing your spot. Inside, while in a strip mall, is pretty spacious, with a L-shaped bar and a good amount of tables. I don’t believe there was a happy hour running(it was about 12pm when we arrived on a Wednesday), so IPA’s were running a hard $ 5 or $ 6. The nachos(with the $ 3 upcharged chicken) at $ 12 was a large helping, but kind of dry… there’s not any salsa or anything on it, which I expected. At least there’s a lot of jalapenos to add that extra kick. The service is really fast and the bartender is friendly, which is always appreciated. If you want a quick bite and some cold beer on the way home, this is your place.

Came for lunch during a weekday. Arrived at 11:30 by 12 – 12:30 it was getting busy with the lunch rush. Plenty of seating indoor and outside. Service was great and the two other employees we talked to were friendly. I ordered the chicken wrap with fries($ 10) There wasn’t much to it, chicken, lettuce, tortilla chip strips and chipotle sauce. It taste okay. It would have been better if the chicken had more flavor. Fries were good. Portion size was filling. Food came out pretty fast. Overall an average lunch with great service by our waitress.

I’ve been going here for years and my food has always arrived in a timely manner and was delicious but my last visit last week was not a good experience. I think it was the waiter, it literally took 35 minutes to get our food! We got there at 11:35am and our food didn’t arrive until 12:10pm! To top it off the food was horrible, like it was sitting there for 35 minutes! I will think twice about going here when I’m on my lunch break. I read one of the reviews below and the waiter that was mentioned«Alec» sounded like our waiter! Same type of attitude! From my past experiences when they were excellent it was because we had a female waitress! I always had excellent service!

We came here about a month ago with some friends and sat outside. The patio is nice and big, though is in the middle of a parking lot, so leaves much to the imagination. Service was good and friendly. Food was sub-par. I had the burger, which I thought was dry(as did my husband of his chicken sandwich). The garlic fries were good. The beer selection was great, lots of beers and a big selection! I’m not rushing back, but if you are looking for a good beer selection and edible food — check it out.

Too dark inside and food took quite a long time for it to come out even though they were not all that busy. I was pleased with the beer selection and food was alright, nothing special. Place could use a revamping from Jon Taffer or something. But I cant hate on any place with good cold beer, booths, and a big salad menu.

I have passed by the hopyard quite a few times on my way to fitness 19 looked like a decent little pub. I wasn’t disappointed with my lunch choice today. They have a nice outdoor patio that is usually pretty busy during the happy hour time frame. Since it was only 2 pm not many people were out in the 90 degree heat. I was seated right away and promptly ordered the French dip with fries. The waitress was super friendly and my order was out in under 10 minutes. Fries were nice and crispy, seasoned well complimented by a delicious French dip on a steak roll. I am a big fan of pub food that is good quality and feel Hopyard provides just that. The beer is list is pretty extensive but since I don’t drink beer I was more interested in the wines that were offered. A little pricey on the wine side for the options but I will still come back and enjoy a lunch or something from the happy hour menu.

Awesome selection of beer from all over. I was really impressed that they had Blind Pig and Pliny on tap too! The Faction 2Hop was also nice to see on the menu. We had pot stickers, and burgers. Everything came out awesome — as usual. And it was a beautiful day out. Special thanks to our server Natalie for putting up with our shenanigans.

Came here for a friend’s birthday recently. There are lots of tables on the inside with TVs all over the place. There weren’t any major events going on at the time so all the TVs were on different channels for different baseball games. You can ask the staff to change channels on TVs near you if you want to watch anything specific. There were some tables outside as well, but all night we didn’t see anyone out there except the handful of people who were waiting to be seated inside. They have lots of beers available, and if you don’t know what you want, you can sample them at $ 0.25 for a shot glass. Burgers were very filling — I recommend the Sierra Madre. They come with plenty of fries too, so there’s no need to get them separately as an appetizer. Instead, we went for nachos for the table, which were great since they’re easy to share. Service here was pretty good. We had a waitress who checked in on us pretty often and gave us some intentionally bad jokes too. They’re very accommodating here, offering to help us take group pictures and providing us a lighter for the birthday candles. It’s a great place for groups. There were a bunch of kids here with their parents following a Little League game. There may be a bit of a wait on the weekend during the early evening(partly because of the large groups and families), but by 8pm the place was practically empty and you can easily get a table. Suburb life, I guess.

After a long day in the sun, it was time to unwind at a local pub. I found this place and Boyfriend and I decided to go for it. It’s a kind of place that is what you make it to be. It can be family friendly as well as a fun night out with friends and good drinks. There is an outside area that would be great if it was warm and sunny. Inside, there is a lot of space and tables. I saw so many different crowds ranging from young girls hanging out after a soccer game to adults in their 20s-40s at the bar ordering beers. Boyfriend had the fish ‘chips with a red beer and I had the grilled chicken sandwich on sourdough with a double IPA. Both meals came with fries. The service wasn’t bad, nor excellent and was pretty middle of the road. The beer was fantastic and really hit the spot. I love double IPAs and their selection of beer was great. They have more common name beers as well as specialty brews. The food came warm, but like it had been sitting out for a bit warm. The fries were really good, but they could have been crispier. My chicken was pretty dry, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. However, for Boyfriend, the fish ‘n chips wasn’t nearly big enough and was disappointed that there were only three fillets. However, the price was pretty low and he did just come out of a long tennis match. There was nothing too special about this restaurant/bar. Overall I enjoyed this place and may come back, however I probably would rather try some other pubs or bars in the area just because I love to go to new places. I wouldn’t recommend to a friend to go out of their way to try, but I would suggest it if we were hanging out. Ambiance: 3.5÷5 Food: 3⁄5 Service: 3.75÷5 Overall Experience: 3⁄5

My bf has brought me here twice so far. It’s not bad as far as American food, but some of the food seems too laden with grease, or has bland flavor. The first time we went, I got the fish and chips(minus the chips), and the coating of batter on the fish was WAY too thick, but it was decent, for sure. I’ve lived in Scotland, and over there is where you will find the best fish and chips. If only it weren’t a 12 hour plane ride away. *sigh* I have nothing against their fish and chips, it’s just not what I’m used to. It’s definitely not bad though! I’m pretty picky about fish(since it’s my favorite meat and all), but I think I may order it again when I am craving something salty, greasy and battered. Second time I went, I got a simple cup of tomato soup, which was actual pretty good, and cheap! And filling! Can’t go wrong with that. Overall I would say it’s a solid spot, but it’s definitely not my first choice.

It’s been years since I have been Hopyard but had a craving for Ballpark food and to watch the Spurs vs Heat game. The place was packed and rowdy. We ordered a couple of beers and the following: Black and Blue Salad 4 stars Cajan Prime Rib Sandwich 4 stars Buffalo Wings 3 stars Lot’s of beer choices, decent prices. minimal service, sports bar atmosphere. Note: They have this raffle where the bar patrons buy raffle tickets. After the game a bartender rings a bell and climbs on top of the bar and picks the winner.
