They tasted exactly like A&W. That’s not necessarily a good thing. For how many people they had out front it took a while to move through a generally small lineup of people. They weren’t particularly friendly either and the wait for food was a little excessive. That being said, five bucks for a double party burger is a deal.

Been going here for lunch occasionally since I moved here in 2012, Always liked their food… went in last week and ordered the same thing I usually do and was surprised to find it had gone up in price. I realize with costs and such that that is inevitable. But to pay $ 10 for fast food, and a small meal at that is a little much, especially when I can go to some of the nicer places in town and get a full meal for the same price… anyways…probably wont be back… it’s not because of the food though good, It’s just not worth the price… food for thought.

Stopped in for a quick bite before heading out of town. Dubs location is prime. They could be the go to place for a quick burger in town. Unfortunately, they aren’t. The food is actually pretty damn good. You get a full meal deal for 8 bucks. And it is quick. But the service and standards for employees are seriously lacking. There’re were like 5+ girls standing at the counter. All of which were preoccupied– either texting or chatting, one was drinking and eating, and one was scraping stuff from her fingernails. Once I was called forward to order, I was glared at and seemed to be an annoyance and inconvenience. So rude. I will not be back!

Great menu. Awesome place, everyone finds five things they love. Don’t be fooled by the lines or teeny bopper cashiers, you food will come out fast and acuarate. I enjoy the onion rings and the kids love the deserts. …tater tots as well!

Great greasy burgers, tasty fries, and good soft serve. The quintessential old fashion burger joint. Fun place, great prices, good quality. Skip the fast food joints and chose this superior burger option instead.

I love their soft serve and food but the only reason why I am giving them two stars is because their guest service is terrible. They treat you very poorly and look annoyed every time you order. The owner needs to be more picky about who he hires. But other than that it’s a

The prices here are from the 50s. Ok, the 70s. Really great. Fantastic place for dessert. The food is ok, but you can’t beat the ice cream. Often a little slow, but worth the wait. A tradition for us on vacation.

You can definitely see how Dub’s could be the great little lake-town burger shack that many seem to want it to be; it’s small, antiquated, and potentially charming in its squalor. Plus, dirt-cheap prices. But you can’t offer dirt-cheap prices if you don’t cut corners elsewhere, and that’s the problem here. The food was mediocre at the very best, the ice cream was poor-quality soft-serve — but you get a lot of it! — and the service was deplorable.(Fifteen minutes for two ice cream cones?!) You expect a place like Dub’s to employ a bunch of teen-agers, sure, but maybe train them to work together to fill orders instead of each one running — er, moping — around trying to fill each order alone. All the while, the«line» piled up into a giant mess, in part because there are doors on opposite ends of the ordering counter and no room in front of it to accommodate many people in an orderly fashion. Pretty much a logistical grease fire, with food nowhere close to good enough to make up for it. Go elsewhere.

This is a no-nonsense, no tschotchkies vomited on the wall, family burger joint. Everything about it, including the prices on the menu board was last updated in the early 80s and that is perfect. The burgers are very good, not holy-shit good, but well beyond your average diner. The kind of burgers you can only make on an ancient griddle. Now, I don’t like lettuce and tomato on a burger, because I actually want to taste the meat and I don’t need«mouth feel», I need meat. Be sure to tell them to leave the salad on the side. In Dubs’ defense, despite being March in north Idaho, the lettuce was actually very crisp and tasty, which I noticed while eating it with a fork, after I scraped it onto my plate, where it belongs. You would be mistaken if you didn’t get a malt to go with your burger. The malts are holy-shit good. Normally I only get locally-sourced, free-range artisan malts from an organic malt farmer I know personally, so I know what I’m talking about. I don’t know what’s in Dubs’ malts and I don’t care, I just want another. Butterscotch please.

My husband and I visited for the first time because we heard such great reviews. I ordered a hamburger, he a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and we shared a large order of onion rings. The food was fine, but definitely not a phenomenal food/dining experience. We probably won’t come back for ourselves or bring people here as a highlight of the town, but I wouldn’t object to eating here again if we went with other people. So– it’s fine, but not phenomenal.

We never miss grabbing a burger or at the very least a soft serve when we are in Sandpoint. This place just makes me happy. Nice people, great prices, and yummy food, sunny windows.

I’ve been going to this place since I used to play soccer across the street as a kid. Not a lot has changed, even the prices. All good, no filler. Not only do they serve up the goods, but they are the BEST at dishing out summer treats on the block. If you’re not afraid of a little BRAINFREEZE try to do the«slushie rainbow» one summer. I dare you. Oh, and be careful if you order the LARGE ice cream… it’s bigger than your head!

Mmmmmm… Dubs. I spent some SERIOUS time here whilst housed at the 9th grade center– if you’re in your 40’s and from Sandpoint, you know what I mean. I love the crinkle cut fries, the hamburgers but oh, the Huckleberry shakes are what drive me to get here as quickly as I get into town. The best part though, even more than the shake, is just that it’s here, it’s the same and you know you love it.

The burgers here aren’t my favorite in town but the fries and other menu items are fantastic. The service is always friendly and fast and I like the old-timey small town vibe in here. Dub’s is a great piece of Sandpoint history and the food is good. And you can’t really complain about a place that sells tater tots with your burger.

The burgers, ice cream, and waitstaff were all decent enough. Dub’s is a lot like Friendly’s, but with worse décor. And piles of deer poop in the parking lot.

I’m not sure if I just missed it, but I didn’t see any ice cream there to «scoop.» Everything was soft serve, which means it’s the same exact ice cream you can get at McDonalds or countless other places around the country. I will say they had plenty of flavors to put into said vanilla soft serve ice cream, and that the girls behind the counter seemed to know how to make a good shake(the butterscotch malt was actually a good suggestions, Andrew). However, at least for ice cream, this is exactly like any other soft serve ice cream place in the country. Nothing special. You can skip it.

This place gets the fourth star for hard to find butterscotch malts(something I only noticed on visit number two). Sounds odd, but try it. Yes, the girl behind the counter gave me a funny look, but trust me, you won’t be disappointed. They also have tots. Tots and butterscotch malt, FTW.
