Not the best, not the worst. Looks like it gets a ton of family traffic from Cedar Point. I really liked all the football helmets on the walls. Potato skins were not the best, but the chicken bacon ranch specialty pizza was really good. Looked like the buffet was the way to go from a price standpoint. The staff was really nice

Good local place. Loud and fun atmosphere. Magician came around and did a magic trick for the kids. Pizza and the usual stuff. Price was decent, food was good.

Ask any Sandusky local what the best pizza place in town is, you will probably get either Chet&Matts or Cameo Pizza depending on where there from in town. I myself was born and raised on Chet&Matts pizza. It’s often one of the first places I stop whenever I come back to town. I will be honest, Chet&Matts pizza is definitely not the best Pizza I’ve ever had. But, It’s the best Pizza in Sandusky as well as within a 25 mile radius. In all my time going to Chet&Matts I have never had a bad pizza or bad service. Co-Owners and brothers Chet and Matt take a very hands down approach to running the restaurant. It’s not uncommon to see Chet making his rounds in the main dining room and chatting it up with patrons. In conclusion, Chet&Matt’s is a Sandusky staple and a must visit for any Pizza lover that happens to find themselves in town.

My family’s favorite stop after a long day at Cedar Point. Every time we come here we try a different type of pizza and are never disappointed! Atmosphere is perfect for families!

Great Pizza place for the Sandusky, Cedar Point area. We usually get carry out because the dining room can get kid crazy. Perfect place for families…

We were in town for a gymnastics tournament. We called on a Friday around 5:30 and asked if they had room to make a reservation at 7:15. After about one minute they said they could accommodate us. They opened a separate back room for us. The server was patient and on task. We knew it would take a little longer being a large group but they turned on tvs and the kids had a blast. And the pizza was really really good and inexpensive. We will all be back next year. Thanks for the service.

I went here for dinner one Saturday evening and it was alright. The pizza was decent, but i’ve had a lot better tasting before(i just couldn’t really taste a whole lot in the pizza we had). The atmosphere/design of the place is more for kids i think so it really wasn’t aimed at me so it didn’t really thrill me all that much. The wait staff was good and I had no issues with them. Overall a decent place, but way to far for me to make a trip to go there again.

Very convenient for Great Wolf Lodge(only 1 mile away). The food was ready quickly and there is a pick-up window at the side of the building. The pizzas were generally flavorful but more of a thin-crust style, rather than the preferred chewy pan-crust.

Soul Pizza I didn’t get to meet Chet or Matt, but the pizza was good. We visited this place and it was so crowded on a Friday night that we just ordered from the bar and got it to go. The venue is set up very sport-like, which seems to be the majority of the Cleveland restaurants I visit. We got the chicken bacon ranch and the macaroni and cheese pizza. They let us do half n half on the same pizza, which I enjoyed. Both of the flavors were really good, but midway through the meal, we realized that we were in need of some marinara sauce. Something about my mind just equates pizza with that sauce. The next time I go, I’ll get something with tomato on it. The macaroni and cheese pizza was surprisingly good. It’s like having soul food on a pizza. We also got spicy garlic parmesan wings which were really tasty. I’m getting hungry thinking about them. I need to ban myself before writing Unilocal reviews before lunch. In short, I recommend this place. The next time I go, I’ll do half traditional and half experimental. Also, I had a $ 3 off coupon, but the lady forgot to apply it. I charge it to the head and not the heart.

Pizza buffet… need I say more? Their buffalo chicken pizza is one of my all time favorites. However, the true masterpiece lies in their dessert pizzas. Most importantly the cinnamon sugar concoction sent down from the heavens above. If I was the only one there I would take the entire pizza back to my table. My wife and I love to grab a bite or ten there before we go over to see a movie.

Outstanding! The best pizza I’ve had in a long time! We stayed at Kalahari Resort and from previous experience we knew that the in-house pizza joint at Kalahari would disappoint, so we opted for delivery. Matt & Chet’s are familiar with delivering to the resort and the different entrances so that was a plus too. We ordered cheesy bread(the cheesiest I’ve ever encountered), cheese pizza(a staple that they rocked) and the artichoke and sun-dried tomato pizza(a new combo to me that was out of this world amazing and makes me wish we were locals). The crust on all the pizza was a combo of a thin crust that was borderline crisp on the bottom and fluffy like naan on top. Uh. can you say yum?!? I can’t…my mouth’s full of another slice.

We love this pizzeria! We come every time we visit our family in Sandusky. We love the pizza buffet(Sun — Thurs) where one can get salad, wings, a variety of pizza including dessert pizzas! Per my son, «the cinnamon pizza is like a margarita for kids! It’s SO good!»(And he should know as he at 7 pieces of it!). It is very family friendly and the waitstaff is super attentive. My only minor criticism is that it is a bit loud if you’re trying to have an intense conversation!!! Come enjoy your time at Chet & Matt’s!

Best specialty pizza I’ve ever had! The bbq chicken pizza and hot wing and cheddar are the best! The perfect ingredients with a crust that comes out perfectly done with the right amount of crunch. I tried there regular pepperoni and didn’t like it, the specialty pizza is where it’s at. Make sure you ask them to cut it like a pie otherwise it comes cut into strips(must be a Sandusky thing). Would definitely recommend!

Honestly my favorite pizza place in town. I absolutely love the pizza and wing buffet. Service can be slow at times, and not very attentive. There is always a man there asking us how everything is, and making small talk, I am assuming it is the owner, which I love that he takes time out of his day to visit the tables. My only tiff with the buffet is, the very first time I had this buffet, they had a PB&J pizza that is now one of my favorites, last time I was there I requested it for the buffet, the server told me that they can’t do it because of someone could have a peanut allergy, which I do understand, but couldn’t you put out a sign that says«this pizza contains nuts» just a suggestion.

My rating is based on what I go to Chet and Matt’s for, which is their subs. They’re great. And I sit at the bar where the service is great. If I want pizza, I go to Cameo.(The mothership, not the branches. I don’t know why it doesn’t taste the same at the branches.) Restaurants that have buffets learn quickly how to make inexpensive food. Folks who go to buffets are more interested in quantity than quality. Nothing wrong with that. And if that’s what you want, this is your place. Great for kids, too.

Came in hungry on a rainy day, ready to tuck into the pizza/wing buffet. Salad was rather sad, but that’s not why I was there. Wings — good, but some were a bit dry… perils of a buffett, I guess. But I enjoyed them and it was nice to sample different flavors. My fave was the sweet chili sauce… just wish there was more heat. NONE of the wings were spicy, but maybe they just didn’t put out hot ones because it was buffet. Pizza — fresh on the table, it was awesome. Found that I liked the white-sauced varieties the best. There was a super-cheesy one with spinach and fresh tomato that was probably my fave. Hot wing was also good, as was the cheesy potato. I asked about the mac-n-cheese pizza, not seeing it on the buffet, and they ordered one and hand-delivered three slices. I liked it, but not as much as the others I mentioned. Make sure to get the pizza as soon as it gets out — 10 times better than the older pieces. Dessert — RICECRISPYTREATS!!! These are practically worth the price alone. :) Soft and marshmallow-y… Overall — great deal. With drink and tip, it was about $ 15. Only negatives — it was COLD in there(but I do get cold easily) and no wi-fi. And no diet coke — had to settle for pepsi. :)

I stopped in here to pick up a pizza while on vacation with the family at a local water park. I checked reviews and overall thought we should be good. Menu looked eclectic enough to warrant a shot… The large pizza we got was flavorless with a thin limp crust. Cheap tasting sauce, thin on toppings. Per the ratings this is the best pizza Sandusky has to offer? No thanks… I have had better pie from Domino’s. Won’t try again.
