Nice place, but specifically asked cat not to be bathed (she had bad matting) vet recommend no bath as it would make the shave harder– went to pick up cat and was told the cat groomer will not shave the cat unless it’s bathed-​So they tacked on $$$ for that and then told me they couldn’t give a military discount because the cat groomer was not an employee but an independent worker? Also, they added an extra 10 $ to total bill. When asked why; the woman wasn’t sure. Total $ 105!!! After the woman said so kindly «how much can I add for your tip».

Following an unfortunate experience at a Virginia groomer, my 13 year old cocker spaniel was absolutely terrified of being brushed, never mind the whole ritual of brush, bath, clipping. However, summer is coming with its hot days and he absolutely needed care! We’d gone to Happy Tails for a do it yourself bath while on the Cape for a previous vacation so I thought I’d give them a try for the full grooming treatment. They agreed that they would stop the second he seemed frightened and let me know to come get him. Well, it was a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. Kathy was his groomer and she is calm and quiet and he was completely relaxed the whole time. I now have a sweet smelling, summer clipped dog and I’m just delighted. It’s a great place for anxious dogs.

Love love love happy tails!!! They always are so nice when they greet you! I can sometimes call the same day and get my big guy in. There are times that you can not because they are so busy! I recommend happy tails to anybody who does not want to wash their dog or if you do want to wash your dog yourself, they have huge tubs to make it very easy and best thing, you don’t dirty your own house.

Once I entered the business I was greeted with ‘cutting it a little close huh? Yes I did arrive a half hour before closing. I was asked if i had been there before which I had not. Shocker, the response was a big sigh. I now felt bad and tried to be overly nice. Didn’t work. The place is filthy, fake tile lifting from the floor, holes in the drywall with heavy black mold. It is a dog wash and groomer but someone should go in there with a shop vac and a spray bottle of bleach. Gross. Won’t ever go back.

Such a great experience. I took my friends dog in and was amazed by the place. The girl was extremely helpful and so sweet and attentive. I will defiantly go back.
