The Weather Store

Great stuff, friend ordered some items. It can get expensive, but the guy is very knowledgeable and has found items from all over. It was primarily dedicated to instruments, I guess someone could do some décor shopping here (its not a large part of the store), but I think that would be a secondary consideration. I would visit if you are looking for an old reliable weather monitoring device for the home.

My husband and I tried to stop in once before when we were in town for the 375^th Anniversary celebration in Sandwich, and were so disappointed this store was closed! Having just moved to New England we were specifically looking to buy some marine art (paintings, ship model) and weather instruments to outfit our new place, so we traveled back to the Cape and arrived about twenty minutes before closing on our 2^nd visit. After browsing the downstairs and not seeing what we wanted, we noticed some artwork on the staircase. I barely got to glance at what was on the walls, as I followed my husband to the top of the stairs. Rudely, the owner shouted up to us from down below that he didn’t want us walking around his office! Had he just peeked around the corner (intead of watching his sports game on TV) he would have seen that we were both NOT IN HIS OFFICE! He could have politely asked us to wait a few minutes until he closed up the shop (locked the door) and then he could have assisted us upstairs. He obviously didn’t want to make a sale or didn’t think we were inerested in what he had for sale. Either way, he wasn’t nice, professional, courteous, or decent to us (which is too bad for him and his business!) My husband and I will find what we are looking for elsewhere, and would not recommend him to anyone we know. Though we will return to Sandwich for other events, we’ll remember this experience and how we were treated.

Went in looking for a three-​instrument banjo weather station and marine art. We asked to see the marine art on the staircase and the owner grudgingly allowed us to do so. When we got to the top of the stair he rudely accused us of «wandering around his office». We left promptly and will not return.
