Yogurt Mountain

Our FAVORITE yogurt and yogurt place in all of Atlanta!!! The toppings are superb. You won’t be disappointed!

I highly recommend a combo of salted caramel yogurt with broken resee’s pieces and tiny m&ms.
They also have some healthier alternatives on toppings like blueberries, strawberries, pineapples, bananas, etc.
They have so many toppings and I am sure that the kids will definitely love it. Although, just like many other froyo + topping places, it is a bit pricey, but not too bad.

There is nothing really which stands out service, food, variety or anything worthy. Sorry.

I love fro-​yo, but Yogurt Mountain is pretty forgettable. I went at about 8:00 on a week night, and only about half of the self serve flavors were available. I’m not sure if the lone employee manning the Mountain had started to break down the machines for close or if they just had half of the flavors to choose from period. Either way, I opted for the old faithful original tart with strawberries and yogurt chips. It was pretty much the same as Yoforia, Menchies, and Yogli Mogli, so no complaints there.
It’s your standard futuristic looking self-​serve fro-​yo and toppings shop, but I like all of the competition much more. Only half the flavors were available and there were a lot of crumbs on the counter. Really nothing was horrible about Yogurt Mountain by any means, but when fro-​yo stores are a dime a dozen, I expect it at the very least to be on par with the competition.

Craved froyo one night… Saw this was close by. The yogurt was melted for almost all of the flavors. And you could barely taste the flavors actually.
It might have been a bad day. I will try again if I get a big enough urge to.

I’m shocked by how many 5 star reviews this place has. I arrived 45 mins prior to close to find half the flavors were either out or were never added to the pump in the first place, so options were limited. The yogurt was more of an icy texture than creamy.

Whoa! Game changer!
One of my jobs is off of Hammond Drive in Sandy Springs, and this little gem is on my way home from work. I spotted it, lets say, two months ago… But I never stopped, due to my Yogli Mogli loyalty.
Those days are over.
On a perfect Saturday in March, I couldn’t resist the urge for FroYo. I pulled in, only to find that the place was a ghost town. I was a little anxious at first (I’m a firm believer that you can tell a lot about a place, depending on what crowd hangs around… More so if no one is there).
Walking in the place goes just like any other Frozen Yogurt joint. Bright, happy colors, whimsical interior design, two cash registers, an arsenal of FroYo machines, and last but not least-​the differentiator– the toppings.
The. Toppings. TOPPINGS. My god, the toppings. Well done, Yogurt Mountain, you’ve achieved the maximum awesomeness allowed to be placed in an oversized cup. Cereals, candy bars, fruit, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, fresh whipped cream… The list goes on. Hungry yet?
After creating my masterpiece, I was ready to punish my wallet, as the going rate here is 49 cents per ounce (admittedly high compared to the competition). However, upon plopping my yogurtchild on the scale, and waiting for only a few moments, the nice lady informed me that her system was down, and she was going to let me have it on the house. WOW! A wild customer service experience appears! I honestly thought that things like that never happened anymore. Instead of keeping me waiting, Heather (forgive me, I forgot her name, but Heather is the closest I can recall) was awesome and decided to not keep me from my indulgence/​gluttony.
I don’t mind paying MORE for better service and experience. That’s exactly what I got here (yes, I know I didn’t actually pay this time), and I urge anyone who may read this to stop in the next time you’re leaving Target, on your way home from work, school, or playtime. You won’t regret it.

I have tried all of the yogurt places around, and Yogurt Mountain takes the cake! They are always very nice and have TONS of flavors. I’m always impressed. I wish they would have a waffle in a bowl like Yoforia but other than that it really is the best. I like that I can serve myself and it’s never packed.

My wife and I love to stop here for a snack. They have a nice selection of yogurts and plenty of fixings to top them off with. It is clean and usually the staff is friendly, though one guy at times acts as if he is being inconvenienced when people come in.

What a great yogurt place! I’ve tried them all and just happened to be out yesterday running errands. We stopped in and the flavors are very unique (think maple and bacon) and then there are also the standards such as tart, chocolate, etc. I settled on tart and strawberry banana. We could not have enjoyed it more. Their tart was as god as Yoforia and Pinkberry and of course better than Yoreka, which is the worst in my opinion. This place is somewhat hidden– I’ve been to that target several times over the last few weeks and never noticed the signage for yogurt mountain. I hope they make it. A Barberitos is opening up next door, so hopefully that will help with traffic.

There are a lot of yogurt-​by-​the-​ounce places around town, but this is my hands-​down favorite. For one thing, their yogurt flavors are dead-​on (the snozzberries taste like snozzberries!) as opposed to the yogurty-​tasting yogurts you get most everywhere else. Personally, if I’m going in for an OREO or peanut-​butter flavor, I can do without the tang of yogurt up front.
They also excel at toppings. They outdo every other yogurt place and ice cream place I’ve ever been to (and I’m not ashamed to say I’ve been to a LOT) on both quality and variety. They have all the candies, sure, all the fruits, all the sugary cereals. But then they have other things. Like muddy buddies (or puppy chow if you like). And Nutella sauce. There are other toppings that are exceptional, but I keep thinking of muddy buddies and Nutella sauce over and over again now so I can’t think of any. But they’re all there. You’ll see.
By and large, I’ll go to whatever yogurt place I happen to be near when I feel like frozen yogurt, especially after dinner at a restaurant. So this place provides me a pleasant walk from Taco Mac, Genki, Five Seasons, Joli Kobe, Subway, Evos, and Panda Express. And Target. And Staples. And Publix. And the Bakaal International Market. And an urgent-​care place, which I haven’t yet needed to patronize, but if I did have to get stitches on a weekend Yogurt Mountain would definitely be the best part.

My family loves Yogli Mogli so it was tough to cheat on them with Yogurt Mountain. In the end though, we agreed that Yogurt Mountain’s yogurt was better.
Note: If you happen to come in the entrance by Taco Mac and don’t know where Yogurt Mountain is located then you might not find it. I had to call twice while I was driving around in the Prado to find it. Turns out it faces Roswell Road up by Staples in a building by itsself.
The Bad: The price is a little higher than other fro-​yo places that I’ve been. The fruit section of the toppings bar was also very bare and not kept cleaned up. Stuff was everywhere.
The Good: The actual frozen yogurt was excellent. Better quality than most. I also loved all the toppings offered. It was a huge, huge selection.
Overall: If I’m at The Prado, I would definitely stop by. The quality of the yogurt and variety of toppings merits 4 stars.

This place had their grand opening Friday and since I live 2 minutes away I had to go. Then I had to come back a few days later because… well this place is awesome.
I think it’s 49 cents an ounce, which is pretty standard anymore. They have a lot of interesting flavors. None of them have changed between my two visits I think. Blue Cotton Candy is ridiculously awesome. I love cotton candy flavored things so this is easily a winner.
The Caramel Pretzel flavor is now my favorite though. Think of all the people who have failed to make a salted caramel flavor actually taste salty. This one actually tastes like salted caramel more than it tastes like pretzels.
Most of their flavors are on the sweet side: lemon icebox pie, strawberry cheesecake, cake batter. They have one no sugar added flavor, a couple fruit flavors, a couple sorbets (one is sour green apple candy, it REALLY was), and tart.
The toppings are pretty spectacular too. I haven’t been frequenting any froyo places lately, so maybe they’re not that special, but they have an entire section of Halloween candies including peeps, and then also warheads (I haven’t seen those in ages!), Angry Birds gummies, stroopwaffels!, and probably a bunch more cool stuff. There’s so much that it’s a lot to take in. The fruit has looked decent both times too, not smashed to bits like some other places. This probably has more meaning on the grand opening date since it was really busy.
They also have 8 sauces and fresh whipped cream at the counter.
Everyone who works here that I’ve encountered is really nice. I’ll probably be here a couple times a week, ughhhh.
