Jimmy’s isn’t there anymore, too bad, too because the new restaurant, Sapori is awful. Food isn’t great, but it’s the service that wins the 1 star award here. We were 1 of a whopping 2 tables in the place and we got quite possibly the worst service I’ve had in my life. Would recommend you stay far away from this place, and that is hard for me to say because I’m a Sandy resident and really want to support local businesses, I just can’t get behind this one.

I was surprised by the food at Jimmy’s. Really, quite pleasantly surprised. The menu seemed pretty scattered… taking on American, Italian, and German food. Compounding that was the breakfast(until 4pm) menu, which is very American. I wavered between European countries for my order before settling on the chicken jagerschnitzel. N got the eggplant version. AC got fish and chips, and UC got chicken parmesan. The Jagerschnitzel was great. Tender, flavorful, and a nice portion. Not greasy. A nice wine sauce with mushrooms glazed over it, tangy red cabbage, spetzel, and German potato salad on the side. It was all really good. I also got to try the fish and chips: very good. And I tried the chicken parmesan. It was much like mine, sauced differently. The red sauce was delicious. Thick, and clearly homemade. Overall, Jimmy’s was quite good. They’ve only been there a week, and there are some quirks to iron out. The beer menu is seriously lacking(Bud, Stella, Widmer). But Jimmy was super-friendly. The kitchen staff seemed to be having a good time, and was producing quality food. The wait staff was friendly. It seems like they’re still evolving the dining room, as our seat was fine, but awkwardly placed. I think that they’ll consolidate the menu a bit, and perhaps add a couple healthier options. And it is light on vegetarian choices, though I did hear them accommodating a vegan.
