Went there with 2 toddlers, everything went great with the children and the service. Corned beef hash was delicious and the poached egg on the benedict was cooked to perfection. But the cinnamon rolls that everyone raves about tasted like it had just come out a microwave. A bit rubbery and hard on the ends. Overall a great dining experience with 2 children. Get there early.

Awesome start to Valentine’ Day! Cheeseburger and pancakes were spot on, everyone was friendly and the service was outstanding!

Worth the wait. They serve breakfast into the afternoon. The cornbeef hash(my fav) was fried to perfection — with some crispiness :) My eggs over easy also perfect. My husband really enjoyed his eggs and grits. My daughter ate the sliders both times we visited. The place is small — which is why there’s always a wait — but so quaint inside with their red/yellow chicken motif. The staff are friendly and the food comes out fast and hot. The wait affords you time to visit all the cute shops adjoining the restaurant.

Our favorite place for breakfast! The homemade orange sticky bun is out of this world. We also love the breakfast burrito and smoked salmon Benedict.

Reading the menu and looking around had me believing we’d hit the jackpot for a breakfast place on Sanibel. Unfortunately, the execution of our order left us feeling ho-hum about the food. Our eggs were overcooked and under seasoned. The price is in line with other places to eat on the island. The service was okay. If we’re in the area and in the mood for breakfast, we’ll try it again and get something different. It’s always busy and reviews seem to be consistently good so maybe we caught them on a bad day.

So we spent a week visiting Sanibel. Lots of restaurants! We found OEC on Unilocal and gave it a try. Small, cozy brightly decorated and welcoming. Great service, friendly folks. Breakfast was so good, we stopped in for breakfast every morning of our stay. Omelets, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, egg scramblers, biscuits and gravy. All tasty, well prepared and huge portions. We will be back on our next trip to the Island.

Excellent breakfast! Biscuits are huge. Omelets were very good as well as the pancakes. Grits were just ok. Super service and a fairly short wait.

Decided to try this place out after finding it on Unilocal with good reviews. To start their fresh squeezed OJ and coffee was great being that I caught a cold this trip to Sanibel and it woke me up right away. I ordered the breakfast special coconut stuffed french toast and it was spectacular. Price was very reasonable would definately recommend this placr for breakfast if you come to Sanibel Island.

Great food — lots of variety on the menu, always delicious. We have come here dozens of times. Also, good coffee! Great vibe — you can sit at a booth, a table, outside. They have nice shades for the outside seats so you don’t get blinded by the sun. Fast service — and always with a smile!

nothing too out of the ordinary on the menu, but the food and service was fine. I ordered the big berthas breakfast(a scramble with all the fixings) and it was good, but nothing special. our server was nice, the coffee was good. would recommend the cinnamon roll for sure!

Great place to grab breakfast on the island … the only disappointment was the potatoes where no longer crispy … none of us ate the potatoes but we had enough without them. I got an omlete.. Mom got biscuit n gravy. hubby got eggs bacon an pancakes. Very good and good service. There’s a cute shop next door to kill time at while u wait.

Great food, super friendly staff and the patio is dog friendly, complete with treats and water bowls Expect there to be a wait, but it’s definitely worth it! Check out some of the shops in the area while you are waiting The menu is what you would expect appeasing all guests(French toast, pancakes and egg scramblers all get a thumbs up). Bacon is extra crispy, just the way it should be… Fresh squeezed orange juice and great coffee… get a cinnamon roll for the table to share!

Worth the wait! Unfortunately they do not allow reservations and we came with a group of 9. That being said the food was incredible. The only thing better was the staff. Steak and eggs are very filling. Cream cheese French toast was also very good. Would definitely recommend.

This is a delightful place for delicious food. We stopped in around 12:30 before getting back on the road. Very busy but we had a short wait. You can bring your dog and sit out on the patio. We ordered the corned beef hash– fabulous ! A generous portion of eggs in the Benedict with a great flavorful sausage gravy. Pancakes were large and fluffy. Omelette of all kinds. This restaurant also gas a great gift shop down the boardwalk that sells the clay coffee cups they serve their coffee in and of course I went into the shop to get one. Great mug and a good reminder that you must come back.

Over Easy Café has great mimosas with fresh orange juice. The food is just ok. I had eggs, bacon, english muffin and pancakes. Eggs were over done, bacon under done, pancakes were pretty good. Overall average breakfast place.

Over Easy Café is at the end of a shopping center with some cute little island gifts and boutiques. We biked there from our hotel and found a convenient bike rack right next to the patio. The restaurant itself is pretty small so on a busy Saturday morning we opted to sit on the patio. The patio was kept cool-ish with the help of large fans but the no see ums were still biting. Service was attentive and quick, almost rushed– probably to help turn over tables for the crowd that was waiting. I was feeling healthy so ordered a turkey egg white omelet. I went for the side of grits and countered my healthfulness with a cinnamon roll(that I shared!). I would say I was let down by the roll– it looked better than it tasted. Bennett’s on the island has a better cinnamon roll– this one tasted off. Almost like something about it was previously frozen– either the icing or the dough. My omelet was good but nothing fantastic. The grits were of the white variety(I prefer yellow grits) and ok but nothing special. Hubby’s poached eggs were overcooked. Our whole table felt the meal was very 3 star, nothing about it was great but nothing about it was bad either. Just a typical, albeit overpriced, breakfast place. I think next time we’d try another island breakfast spot. It was nice to browse the shops after we ate.

This place was incredible, definitely worth checking out! We first ordered the cinnamon bun and it was incredible, served with a strawberry. Warm and delicious. My partner ordered the country scramble and he said it was great, he had absolutely no complaints. I ordered a stack of stuffed pancakes, which comes topped with sweet cream cheese and one choice of toppings. I topped it with strawberries(can you tell I’m a huge fan of strawberries?!). In my opinion, the sweet cream cheese was delicious but it was a bit slathered on there so I had to rub some off. The pancakes come in a stack of 3 and I enjoyed them. The ONLY reason I am giving this place 4 stars is because there were a few flies in the restaurant and it became a nuisance everytime they hit my legs. A bit annoying. Overall– its a cute, quaint place but you should arrive as early as possible on weekends as it does get packed. We waited about 15 mins for a table. The place is also decked out in pictures of roosters everywhere which is neat.

Great place for breakfast on Sanibel. Very crowded, but fast turnover so we didn’t have to wait. We sat on their patio on this gorgeous morning on the way to the airport. The service was quick. A little odd that we weren’t offered refills on our coffee, but no big deal. My hubby LOVED the country skillet. Great size. Not too heavy. My reuben egg sandwich was a little dry for my liking. It could have used more thousand island dressing and the corned beef was a little overcooked. I should have asked for it on an English muffin instead of a bagel. Their coffee was pretty tasty! We’d definitely return there for breakfast.
