I love coming here for some awesome sushi. The California rolls and shrimp tempura rolls are good if you’re just starting out! Staff here is really nice and always make sure you have what you want. The dragon roll and rainbow roll are just a couple of my favorites here.

We tried out this local neighborhood sushi place and were pleasantly surprised. Good solid sushi — fresh and clean. The salmon was especially tasty. The prices are very reasonable. And the service was good. Everyone that helped us was very nice and friendly. It’s a great spot for quick bite.

This place has roaches. The worst part is that it doesn’t even phase them. I worked at restaurants before and I have never seen so much as an ant in those places. The customer service wasn’t even great to begin with but now I’m not going back. Not that they would care anyway haha just want to give a heads up to people who don’t like sharing their plate with cockroaches. If you don’t mind though, they have a nice menu with reasonable prices.

I’ve been enjoying Ami sushi for the past 3 years, and have dealt with their inconsistent customer service. However, recently it has really declined and it’s now the last place I want to eat despite the good food. Why pay for rude customer service. Unfortunately I’m going to have to find a new sushi restaurant. So sad!

I have been coming here for almost two years. And the food is pretty good – I really enjoy the Fuji roll and they have some great lunch specials. But today I reached my limit in regard to their customer service. Usually when I call in an order for me and my co-workers, the person taking the order isn’t very friendly. And when I go to pick up the order most times the person is indifferent if not borderline unfriendly. And there have been numerous times where my order was wrong or they left something out of the bag. But today was awful. I called in the order and it wasn’t ready for an hour. When I asked to check the order and make sure it was correct I felt mocked and disrespected. Overall I felt ignored and have to admit I lost my temper. When I spoke with the manager, all he said was he was sorry and that they were busy. I ordered from Ami Sushi once or twice a week for me and my co-workers but I won’t be back. This establishment really needs to work on their customer service.

First let me start off by saying that this used to be my favorite sushi place until my last visit on Valentine’s Day. I like coming here because the pricing is reasonable and you get seated right away. But this past Sunday was the worst dinner I’ve ever had. My friends and I sat at the bar and everything was going good until I saw a cockroach crawling along the side of the bar. It was disgusting. We informed a waiter and all he did was trying a kill it with a napkin but the cockroach escaped. Now I’m more upset at the way the employees handled the situation. Instead of offering to sit us somewhere else they acted like nothing had happen. I’m very disappointed because now I have to find a new sushi place.

Came here about a week ago. While sitting at the sushi bar I saw baby cockroaches crawling on the counters next to all the raw fish. Let an employee know what was going on, he simply grabbed my napkin and killed them while acting like it wasn’t a big deal. This place definitely needs an inspection

Food came so fast, awesome service, the only mistake you could possibly make is NOT going here, I am seriously a sushi fanatic and this place blew me away. By far the best sushi I’ve ever had!

I have come here many times and it is usually pretty good, and reasonably priced as well. The service at the sushi bar itself is pretty good. One thing is that the beers are usually too warm. With Japanese beer and sushi in my opinion it should be cold beer, but here it is only lukewarm, they need to turn up the fridge. Also, I have gotten food poisoning one time here out of 15, but still it was a bad experience. They are pretty popular so I am sure they will be okay.

Wow. What I just experienced was insane. Hair in my food. Asked for the check. Was given ice cream as a sorry. And then was not even thanked as I left a tip and paid for a meal that was taken to the kitchen two bites in. Never again Ami.

Another awesome Sushi restaurant that is local to me. Diners have the option to sit at the Sushi bar or a table. The Sushi chefs wear the traditional garb. Sometimes I like dining at the bar when I have Sushi. It’s beautiful watching the chefs in action. Sushi is like fine art. The overall appearance is very clean and service is good. I wasn’t very hungry. I’m trying for the Sushi badge so every day it’s a different place for me. I had gyoza and spicy tuna tacos. The gyoza was very good. I liked the cucumber on the side to refresh the pallet. The tuna tacos we’re incredible. They looked more like a tostada. There’s a huge scoop of tuna avacodo and spicy mayo. I would ask for less mayo next time. I could pop down these tacos like candy. They are that good.

My roommates and I decided on $ 25AYCE at Ami Sushi for our friendsgiving. In the 90 minutes you have to eat until you drop, there are 3 rounds. We were given a AYCE menu and there were a lot of options to choose from — nigiri, specialty rolls, appetizers, etc. Next to the item name we wanted, we marked the number of plates we wanted to order of it. Items like uni, ikura, and unagi are limited. If you’re trying to get your money’s worth, avoid getting the appetizers or rolls unless you have a large group because between the 3 of us, we were regretting our order of popcorn shrimp and mango salmon roll by the time the 2nd round came around. By the end of it, all 3 of us had food babies and were tempted to call an Über back to our apartment that’s just a 10-minute walk away. Despite the food coma, the sushi at Ami Sushi was satisfying. Regarding the customer service, I’m usually pretty forgiving but the service here was terrible. We received the wrong order not once, not twice, but more times than I can count on 1 hand. I hope it was just an off night because it was a busy evening. Food & Drinks: 4⁄5 Service: 2⁄5 Atmosphere: 4⁄5 Overall: 3⁄5

I’ve posted about Ami before and I do love the food and price, but the past 4 times I’ve come and yes exactly 4 times this month they have gotten my order wrong 3 times over the phone and once when sitting in the restaurant. I am very allergic to avocado and I make sure I never order it in my foods. Each time I’ve said NO Avocado they seem to duplicate it and take my order. Even repeat it back to me and it’s on receipts. But yet when I get my food it ALWAYS has avocado! When I say I ordered without I get back talk saying that I didn’t. I’ve shown receipts and then I get a new sushi roll made. But 4 times in a row is getting annoying. I’ve driven home and had to come back. Just now I’m here and called in an order with again NO avocado and yep there it is staring at me. The other day when I came the server handed me my roll and said«salmon crunch roll with no avocado». I said um sorry but this is avocado right here. He went and took it to the sushi chef came back and said it was not avocado. It clearly was. It was sitting across from the cucumber. I had to argue with him for 3 min to make another. :/

I arrived here at 1:20pm on a Sunday afternoon. The place looked pretty packed, both inside and the patio area. We were seated immediately upon entering. The menu had a bunch of different options ranging from rice bowls, to sushi combo platters to udon noodles. I ordered 3 items. The 2 combo platter which gives me a choice of two diff items. Also got the nigiri sushi for $ 10 and also the dynamite roll. The 2 combo platter, I opted for Cali rolls and tuna rolls. Both were terrible. It was like eating plastic. It also came with miso soup, rice, and a salad. Sad to say, the miso soup and salad were the best items and they were not good at all! 1⁄10 for this. The dynamite roll was sucky too. It was literally the Cali rolls with some stinky fish on it. It wasn’t even scallops like what most places have. Instead it tasted like cat fish and smelled terribly. 1.5÷10 for this. The nigiri roll was eh. Fish didn’t look fresh at all. Imagine eating plastic. 2⁄10 I’m not coming back here. Giving them 2 stars. One is for seating us and taking our orders. Second star is for trying to offer sushi lol Anyway, all sushi fanatics, this is not the place you want to eat at. Avoid.

Clean, open, casual. Reasonable prices. Lots of options for raw sushi rolls and special rolls. About 5 baked/cooked rolls. Bento box options and lunch bowls. We got the unagi bowl @ $ 7.75(check picture), pro: good amount of food, 6 slices of unagi, and slightly blanched veggies on the side, fairly warm. Cons: the unagi was alittle to firm for my taste(it didn’t fall apart your mouth, it was thicker so you had to chew), maybe a little too much rice but for the most part pretty decent: spicy tuna roll: 6 pieces, I liked that it was still cold(I’ve had a few tuna rolls at other places where the fish was warm *ew). Good bite size portion. Didn’t fall apart. Clean plating. Com: not too spicy(if you are more for the spicier type of roll) Dynamite roll:(they said this was their more popular item) pro: very filling. Lots of baked/cooked cubed fish on top(Salmon) mixed with mayo. Teriyaki sauce. Good amount. Warm but not too hot. Restaurant: clean, well kept,(the bathroom too). It didn’t look rundown. The sushi chefs are nice and keen to spark convo with you. The waiters(mostly male) during my visit, are good at assisting you. And they don’t constantly bother you while you are enjoying the food. Overall: I recommend it if you prefer inexpensive priced food with a decent and casual atmostphere! There’s also a big parking lot with lots of room. Time I visited: Saturday(Labor Day weekened) at approximately 1pm

I chose Ami because all the other sushi restaurants near my hotel were closed on Sunday. I’m glad I went there. My diet requires low carbs so sashimi is what I ordered; tuna, yellow tail, and salmon. The portions were larger than other sushi restaurants. I ordered what I normally would at my usual sushi bars and could not eat it all. The prices were very reasonable too. Other tables were ordering rolls and those looked to be good sized as well. The ambiance isn’t elegant. It is a basic restaurant and there’s nothing fancy. No need for a collared shirt and slacks as a t-shirt, shorts and sandals are fine. So if you’re looking for an elegant sushi dining experience don’t come here. If you’re looking for good sushi at a good price served promptly, this is the place.

Best sushi I’ve had in a long time. Had dinner today and my brother and husband tried for the first time. They loved it. The waiters are nice and our waitress was awesome. She was so prompt and made sure everything came out together. There sushi is amazing and very affordable too. This a must try place.

This is a love/hate relationship. I would give it 5 stars. The sushi there is great, BUT unfortunately their customer service has just gone down the drain. I’ve called a few times to place orders for pick up and every time, the guy answering has been very rude. Even when you’re eating there, waiters seem to get upset whenever you ask for something. Ami, it’s time to say goodbye.
