A business is considered great if they can match you dollar for dollar when it comes to quality vs quantity. The price vs quantity? Extremely fair when your considering this establishment is a step higher than your typical roach coaches. The quality? Its amazing because its not slimy or dry like most places. You feel the love that was made in that dish. I got some Chicken Tacos and the Carne Asada Tacos. Both were evenly rated as one of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Best of all, they treat you so good, you feel like it was worth every penny.

These guys really hit the mark on street tacos and the price of $ 1.50 for a asada taco bursting with superb flavor you must buy 4 or more like seriously !!!

I’m a Taco expert, so believe me when i tell you… this place was OK. Not great, meat could be better but not bad for the price. Definitely better than Tacos Mexico or any of those other weak chain taco joints. This place is not is my hood so i don;t come here ofter or plan on returning but if i pass by i won’t be afraid to eat here. Good place for some decent tacos and a good price. Honorable Mention: 2 Asada, 2 Carnitas No Cebolla Please!

I have been coming here consistently for the past six months. Depending on who is working, be prepared to habla espanol. The tacos are decent, but the burritos and quesadillas stand out. It is pretty ghetto of an establishment, but the food is worth it. It is mom and pop and the people are very nice. The frijoles and carne al pastor are consistently good.

Okay, some peeps are AFRAID of places that are considered…“HOLEINTHEWALLS!” But in my experience, the more«Hole in the Wall» it is, the more I tend to love them. This«Hole in the Wall Gem» has been my Lil secret for years. Probably going back when it used to be one of the Taqueria de Anda’s chains of Taco Joints. The de Anda’s pulled out but the new owners(the Castillos) kept the DELISH food alive if NOT better in my opinion. This place is so good that I would take friends, co-workers and families to it going the back way so that if they wanted to go again, they would be forced to ask me to go too! Guaranteed invitation! Worked for a very long time until buddies from work decided to drive us there but going to the front so they could see the front door & sign. Darn it… my Lil secret just became PUBLICINFORMATION. Oh well… I tried to keep my secret for a long time. Trust me people… this place has such good meats, I personally think it’s better than the De Anda’s chains. I always tell people to order the burritos or tacos but their burritos are so cheap and large, it’s like getting 6 – 7 tacos for the price of 3 – 4 single tacos! They always and I mean ALWAYS stuff it to your pleasing. The cooks and register guys know me from all these years… I don’t get treated any better than anyone… they pack it on for me and EVERYONE that walks into their door(back door)! This is what we had today: 01. El Pastor Burrito($ 4.85) — 5 Stars BBQ Pork, Rice, Beans, Cilantro & Onions — I always ask for NO beans, just get rice, lots of Onions & Cilantro, salsa on the side. Sometimes I ask for Cheese(there’s no additional cost) 02. Carnitas Quesadillas($ 4.85) — 5 Stars Carnitas, Cheese, comes with Beans and Rice, Salsa & Sour Cream — I’m telling you guys, their meats are so flavorful and just the perfect balance of salt and spices. The refried beans are really good. GOODTOKNOWBITS: This is one of the few places that has all of the condiments I love: — Pickled Red Onions — Radish — Key Limes — Pickled Carrots & Jalapenos — Always Homemade Salsa Verde(Green) & Salsa Rojo(Red) If I go with anyone I know, I usually have them cut the burritos in half so we can swap out one to try! You always get the best of both worlds by sharing. Sharing is Caring right! NOTE: 01. The plaza is a really old plaza but don’t knock it until you try their food. 02. Does get crowded becuz the Santa Ana Courts’ Employees also know about them so they recommend them to the Jury Duty Goers. 03. REMEMBER… you are going here for the food NOT the décor. Pretend you have no visual sense… just rely on your taste and smell. This place will WIN you over and over and over, like it has for me. Take a chance people and try it. You’ll love them too!

Mmmmmm tacos dorados. This place is a hole in the wall — exactly what I’m looking for in a good taco shop. The food is tasty and the guys running the joint are friendly. My only warning is that the portions are huge! The burritos, quesadillas, tacos and tortas are all good eats. Can’t beat the food for the price.

There is a lot of good Mexican food available in the OC and LA area but this is hands down the best place for tacos. Specifically shrimp tacos with their fabulous salsa verde. So simple yet oh so good! Don’t be turned off by the strip mall atmosphere and the fairly bare interior as you are not coming for the ambiance, just the food. I used to work in the neighborhood and came here all the time. Sadly I don’t get to Santa Ana that often any more but whenever I have an excuse I make sure to visit around lunch time so that I can make this little detour.
