Went their today with my folks. My mom ordered the fajitas for her and I to share… I think the plate was $ 16.00. The server asked if it was for one or two people. We said again we were splitting the plate for both of us. The food comes out and we each got a plate with rice and beans which I thought was odd but okay. I figured they were gonna charge more for the rice and beans. When the server brought the check I was a little shocked that we were charged $ 34.00 for the fajitas. We ordered 1 order of fajitas. So we got 2 rice and beans and that was an extra $ 18.00??? Wow that’s kind of crazy but that wasn’t what made me mad. I asked the server why we were charged $ 34 and he said because we ordered for 2. I said we ordered 1 plate to share then he proceeded to argue with me. If we basically got charged for 2 fajitas plates why didn’t we get 2 fajitas sets? But whatever just sucked to have to pay $ 34 for 5 pieces of shrimp and 5 pieces of chicken that were way over cooked. The Cadillac’s were good. I’ll give them that.

Worst margarita, worst service… we will never come back. We started off by trying their Margarita. We didn’t like their margarita. and we were told that they cannot do anything about it… so we just have to drink it. First time here, thought I would try the house margarita. Terrible… no surprise since it came out of the spout with no fresh ingredients. I asked if they can make a margarita with fresh lime, and he said«we don’t do that here. We can’t take your margarita back.»

I come here for the good quality margaritas be it blended or on ice. They never let me down. My usual food picks are the chicken enchiladas or fajitas which are always a safe bet. Another comfort food favorite of mine is the albondiga soup. If you come on the weekends be prepared to wait a bit for a seat. I usually stop by on week nights for this reason. Still going strong on my list of decent Mexican food restaurants in SCV.

Good food, prices are fair. Kids eat free on Tuesday but expect to wait 15 – 45 minutes. Love the chips/salsa and Margaritas. Family of 4 will cost over $ 60 with maybe 1 drink.

This is cool little strip mall Mexican place, we stopped at between jobs had a beer and a appetizer plate Armando’s is the best bartender ever he knows everyone who comes in its like cheers we were only there for a few but the appetizer plate which had a bit of everything was perfect, and the chips and salsa were on point, couple of cold beers and back at it. cant wait to come back for the full experience

I’m only giving a second star because the food was decent. We went on a Tuesday night, a pretty slow night. HORRIBLESERVICE! The problem started with the hostess. We were waiting for three other people and asked to be seated so we could enjoy a drink while we waited. There were empty tables but we were told no, that we had to wait for the rest of our party. Then once we got to the table the waiter was a ghost. He would fly by us to other tables and ignore us like we were invisible. We WON’T ever be back to this location. Try the Plum Cyn location instead.

The Mexican restaurant that I grew up with so there’s a huge nostalgia factor here. I’m a fan of the combo with a cheese enchilada and chicken taco(you can also choose beef as your meat). If I’m feeling extra hungry, I’ll go with the enchilada, taco, and tostada. My family likes to call in and order takeout from here rather than having to fight all the people for a table. TIP: make sure you have the right phone number because there’s another La Cocina on Bouquet and Plum Canyon. They confirm which location on the phone, but we’ve somehow screwed up before.

Sometimes you just want some darn good Mexican food. I used to eat here weekly but moved out of state. I recently came back after nearly two years and found the happy hour menu was nearly the same. Good drink selection and great taco selection. I prefer the carbon and the pastor tacos, but saw someone eating a chicken taco which is deep fried and looked amazing. The chips here are good but it is the salsa that makes the free chips and salsa a real treat. I have also enjoyed enchiladas and a chimichanga. I don’t think you can go wrong.

The best Mexican food in all of Santa Clarita! Delicious and authentic food! From the free salsa and chips to the ongoing list of burritos, I’ve never not left a happy customer! Plus the staff is like family, my family and I have been coming here since the early 90’s! Fabulous restaurant.

I’ve had bad experiences here in the past but I have discovered those were an anomaly. The service here is outstanding. The food is delicious. They make a MEAN chimichanga and it’s definitely something to email home about. Great choice for a nice family dinner!

I have been going to LaCo since it opened. It’s good. It has been better. Last night the food was flavorless. Honestly. Not one bite was good. And if you order a number one combo it should be good. The only part of my combo meal that was decent was the tortilla soup. The service is good. The place is always packed. But the food really is not that good. My pregnant friend who was craving chips, salsa and a bean burrito didn’t like her meal. It was truly disappointing. She had maybe 4 bites and did not take it home in a foggy bag. They need to amp it up with the flavor because the food really fell short last night. Totally bummed.

Why do people like this place. I don’t get it. I have not been back in several years, last week the family decided to meet here for dinner. I said to myself, «self, how bad can it be? «…never again. Just gross half ass gringo Mexican food. The chips were not even fresh, sure they are warm but that doesn’t mean fresh, they actually taste stale… mmmm yummy a stale warm chip. It’s a shame that so many people love this place and think they are enjoying real Mexican food. But… this place has a huge following and people will continue to come here because they don’t know any better.

A place like this became a family establishment in the neighborhood long ago but it is simply bad gringo food, it’s subpar Mexican food at best. Shame on them. I get that many people have grown up with La Cocina since childhood but that doesn’t mean that they are eating good quality Mexican food… The expensive alcohol is the main draw of this place, I believe… Then a short drive home with the kids!

This place is the best! I have been coming here for as long as I can remember. My family and I live right up the street. We have been frequenting this restaurant since we moved here when I was 5 coming at least once a week. The food is excellent and the service is better. I have never had a meal I didn’t like. Carlos, the owner is the kindest person and an exemplarily owner. He really cares about the customers and when he is on site he makes a point of coming and greeting every single table. No matter what I order I love but my favorites are the chicken tacos, fajitas, taquitos and the chicken enchilada ranchera.

ZEROSTARS!!! I’ve dined here multiple times while driving to the Bay Area and I’ve found anything from thick black hair to BUGS! In my food, I’ve stopped dining here after finding a baby roach in my soup. Now I believe the closure is about 2 years too late!!! Avoid this place at all cost! Even if they reopen, hmm, all I have to say is… DINEATYOUROWNRISK. I wouldn’t be surprised if They will make you sign a waiver before eating their food.

I believe it! This place downright does suck. From the way they serve their customers and their food. This proves my theory and everybody else’s they do not care, they just want you in and out. BTW Have you tried the Guacamole with chocolate chips or the soup with a cockroach? It’s a La Co special. What do you mean those are not chocolate chips? I’m sure they’ll just reopen with fly larva specials.

Be aware ! BEAWARETHISPLACEWASSHUTDOWNBYTHEHEALTHDEPARTMENTON9÷1÷15 due to ROACHESANDRODENTS! That is so gross… I’m no longer coming here and neither should you. What plumbing issues– LIARs!!! I saw you guys cleaning and exterminator cars and pest control vehicles that same night they claimed they were closed because of plumbing issues. Also, I called the health department and they told me they have roaches and rodents. You can verify yourself by calling the health dept at(661) 254‑9560. If you don’t mind roaches and rodents then you’re not human. Shut this dirty place down!
