They’re good sandwiches, but definitely not worth $ 18 with extra meat, chips, and a regular drink. $ 18 for a meal… You can easily spend over $ 30 for two sandwiches with drinks. Definitely not worth it…
They had 4 girls working when 2 can easily do the job, maybe 3 at busy hours… Each girl did one thing and passed the sandwich over, it looked pretty pathetic. To think about it, I’ve never been in a line at Submarina. If they had reasonable prices I’d definitely come back a few times a month. Hire less help, and actually have them work. Maybe you can have decent prices.
Submarina would definitely be super busy, if they had reasonable prices. They’d sell more product and make more money in the long run. Not squeeze every dime out of each person buying a sandwich.
They screwed up my order without the double meat, so I went with it… The bread is way too much. It’s pure bread… Not much flavor with so much bread and very little meat and cheese. It was also $ 12 for just a 12ft long sandwich with no chips, and no drink.

I really love the sandwiches here, but customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes I come in and the girls are very friendly, other times not so much. Last Sunday my boyfriend and I came in at 5:50 not realizing they closed at 6:00. We felt bad but were already there and hungry and we both knew what we wanted so we hoped it wouldn’t be too much trouble. The girl that took our order was obviously annoyed and made us feel as if we were bothering her. Every previous time I’ve been there they ask questions like «Did you want that toasted? Is that cheese okay?» She didn’t ask any questions about my preferences and by the time I realized what she was doing she was toasting my sandwich which I did not want. But because of her attitude I choose not to say anything, especially since there had been another family that walked in after us and she was being rude to them as well. The girl who rang us up was a lot nicer. I will continue to come in because the sandwiches are good but its not the most welcoming or friendly place to order a meal.

Fresh sandwiches — got exactly why we expected. Most subs will cost approx $ 6 for a 6″.
There are probably more cold options than hot. They had a philly cheesteak, a meatball & a tuna melt (which we got). I also ordered an ATC — avocado turkey cheese sub on Squab bread. It looks like a dark rye. I probably should have ordered the bread to be toasted first. I tried my girlfriends tuna melt and that’s the style on how I like my sandwiches! We checked into Unilocal and got a free fountain drink. If you order avocado and it’s not already included in the type of sub you order, then it will be extra cost.
Kind of like subway. I would say it’s pretty similar in quality with maybe short of fewer options.

I’ve been here a few times now and each time I’ve tried a different sandwich. Their sandwiches are pretty good overall, but my favorite is the Peppered Fiesta. It has peppered turkey, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle mayo. So yummy! I also love that they have a 9 inch option because I feel like other sandwich shops I’ve been to only have a 6 inch and 12 inch.
I feel like this place is a bit pricy though. Their regular size is 6 inches, but if you upgrade to a 9 inch it’s $ 2 more and then $ 4 more for a 12 inch. Thought that was ridiculous. I paid $ 9 for my 9 inch sandwich which was basically $ 1 per inch. However, their sandwiches are kind of wider than usual, so it’s filling and not a complete rip off I guess. But still kind of a jip.
Also another thing I don’t like is that the workers seem kind of bitchy. Every time I go it’s only girls working but I feel like they always either have an attitude or just give off a rude vibe and are never super friendly. They act like I’m a bother to them and hate their job. Well not my problem dude. I expect great customer service anytime I go somewhere and for them to at least greet me with a warm welcome. I just never get that here.
Overall, sandwiches are tasty with a good variety of options. But I have to take down stars for the high prices and the unfriendly staff.

I come here pretty often. The food is always fresh and so tasty! The bread is soft and delicious, and the girls are usually pretty friendly too. Nice, clean place.

Love it every time I come I have excellent service today my servers name was Catharyn and she was very friendly, she made a great sandwich and ingredients were fresh and the bread was fresh. And what topped it off was the COOKIES they were great man I can eat them for days man I might as well order 100 of them for my birthday. But yeah great job submarina you beat subway

13 dollars for a sandwich and chips/​drink. And a free cockroach running between my feet. Don’t need to go back there again. told the staff and all they can say is thanks.

Tried this place for the first time today. Had a turkey & roast beef sandwich on squaw bread, and I loved it! Friendly service too. I will be back!

Had a triple play sub here yesterday around 3 pm. Around 7 pm I started to feel a bit nauseous so I decided to call it an early night and go to bed early without dinner. Around 9 pm woke up had to run to the restroom and vomit profusely. It is now 6:50am and I have been on the toilet while vomiting into a trash can all night and into the morning.

I enjoy submarina for a quick lunch break at work all the time. The lines move quickly and the food is great. Parking is not an issue as it is inside a plaza. The staff is friendly, no complaints there. I would say it’s equivalent to subway.

Sandwiches are great! Girls are helpful, kind & happy.

OKAY. SO. I was going to do a part two of this review (as requested by myself) BUUUUUUT looking at the old review, really guys?
How can I top that. That review was so unbelievably and pointlessly in depth about nothing.
So here I am. Sitting at my office waiting for my lunch break so I can go get another (you guessed it) Monterey chicken sammich.
But in all seriousness (for those of you super cereal Unilocalers who actually take the word of anonymous people to decide whether or not you’re going to get food somewhere)
This place is awesome. (There. That’s it. That’s all you need to know. We have reached the penultimate moment of ad infinitum)
For those of you who don’t know what ad infinitum is, Google shall be your friend here. I learned it from my 9^th grade Spanish teacher.
Because with all the time you are wasting by reading this Unilocal review you could be going HAMM in a sandwich.
(That was me using HAMM as the acronym, as well as a pun. Well played, me. Well played)

I’m actually very disappointed with this location… The food is not bad, not spectacular, but decent. This review is not a bad one on the food. I’m not the type of person that needs all the staff welcoming me as I walk into a location, like a lot of sushi places, but, a simple polite greeting is nice. The first words we were greeted with were, «So, what can I getcha?» And her eyes said, «why are you guys here bothering us?» That was a way to start off an experience… Non of the staff smiled, they interacted with the patrons at bare minimum, and we didn’t even receive a Thank you or Have a Nice Day! Well, Your food isn’t good enough to keep us coming back, I am sorry we inconvenienced your high school staff’s gossip to ask them to do their jobs… Absolutely ridiculous! It’s a surprise there are a few tips in the tip jar. Extremely disappointed in your restaurant!

I wish I could give no stars. Well first off the staff complains alot about other customers in front of people ordering food! Who does that. The older man who I guess owns the store is very stand offish and not friendly. They seem to go through employees like tissues there is always new employees, makes me wonder why people are leaving. My favorite sandwich maker (jennifer) is gone. Shame… the food is ok but customer service could be better.

Just had a very annoying experience at this location, my roommate and I decided to stop in and pick up a couple of sandwiches, we eat at this location frequently. I ordered my sandwich, a tuna on rye. Then she asked my roommate what he wanted and he told her. When my sandwich got to the next girl, she asked me what condiments I wanted and I told her¸ she made a mistake and put paprika on the sandwich, instead of asking me if it was okay, she threw away the bottom of the sandwich, wasting it. Had I known what she put on the sandwich I would have taken it, with the paprika on it.
Then it was time to pay for my sandwich, and I guess since I am a woman and my roommate is a man they thought we were a couple and paying for the sandwiches together, we are not and were not. A man rang up the sandwiches and I said to my roommate «I guess I am paying for your sandwich.» The man heard me and just looked at me, and repeated the price. Totally ignoring what I had just said. Needless to say I was not very happy, but since they were busy, I just paid.
In the future I will think twice about eating there, I could have raised a fuss, I didn’t but I feel like I have been ripped off.

This is my first time visit and never heard of this before. When I entered into submarine and it remind me of my hometown that have almost same taste and choice of various sandwich. Sandwich is soft and fresh! And 2 girls who work there are so friendly.

Have been back quite a few times since my rating and happy to be able to say that they are on point with these sandwiches!
Been enamored with their tuna lately…

You know how Subway isn’t very good? This place makes Subway look terrific! I ordered a turkey club and ended up throwing away more than half. It is truly sterile and tasteless. I’m allowing 2 stars because there must be something that they do well… I’m just not sure what it is.

Standard sandwich joint. Better than Subway, on par with Togos. Decent place as far as franchise places go. Prices reasonable. Clean and neat interior (always a plus). But nothing spectacular.

Their sandwiches are amazing but the greens they use for their salads are NEVER fresh. I wish they would be more considerate of people who only eat salads and provide better spinach/​lettuce for those customers.
But overall, the workers are all very friendly and they work super fast!
