Cute little place with authentic Mexican food. Pretty good food, decent place. Could do. Better job cleaning off their chairs, sat on a big glob of salsa one time.

I’m not sure why there are any negative reviews for this place! The cheese enchiladas are the best I’ve EVER had — and I’ve had some pretty amazing Mexican food living in SF — and the beans changed my life. The guacamole was outstanding — but they should definitely improve their chips. Must try’s: — chile relleno — cheese enchiladas — chile verde pork — guacamole

The super burrito is huge and delicious. Take out food they charge an extra dollar for the plate and bag. Atmosphere is so-so. Parking is easy. My go to local Mexican Restaurant near Twin Lakes.

Overpriced mediocre, salty and disgusting food. Didn’t even include salsa and chips like they said they would. The menu on help doesn’t reflect their prices. Complete rip-ff, don’t go here it’s gross and salty.

I am fond of this restaurant. However lately, it has been hard to gain consistency from the kitchen. I hope that they use this post to improve. When they do it right, their recipes are great.

We were a party of six and the waiter really crew up our order. He brought out the wrong plates about three times and my order was also completely wrong. The food was okay I had a steak taco and I got little steak and a lot of beans instead. My friends husband got a super burrito and it was huge which he really liked. Everyone else was whatever about their food. We also order a guacamole for the table and it like more like baby food then guacamole. I like my gac chunky and not that sour. The only thing I really liked was my orchata. I will not be coming back.

I have never been disappointed with the enchiladas, my standby. I am not clear how negative reviews from other review sites can be so strong. With respect to the things I care about including price, flavor of food, and courteous, prompt service I recommend Casa Rositas. My caution is do not expect it to be a Taqueria replacement. IF you want Burritos or Street Tacos go to Taqueria Vallarta. But if you want to be served and engage in conversation with friends this is an excellent choice.

Have been to this place twice and twice have been disappointed. The food just seems bland to me. Last time I went I had the Shrimp tacos and they tasted funny to me. They weren’t flavorful, even drenching them in Salsa didn’t seem to help.

Tasty food(I had enchiladas) and the chips and salsa were good. Affordable prices made it even better!

Beware of the super burrito. It would be more accurately named the MEGA burrito. My boyfriend ordered this and without any warning, we found ourselves in a man vs. food situation(food won). The service was just okay and so was the food. Probably won’t make it back again next time we’re in town.

Usually when asked«which Mexican restaurant you want to eat at in sc» I always suggest Casa Rositas because of there consistently good food whenever I visit. Never have I complained about their food or customer service but my most recent visit there changed my views on making it my sc Mexican food stop. Went there on a Thursday night around 8:30pm which they did close at 9pm so we gave them a call to see if it was okay or too late to eat still. They said it was fine unless we came 15 minutes before they closed. Well we surely made it before that time period but was obviously mistreated because of it. Walked in and was not greeted by four or more workers just sitting in the front doing nothing but hating us for the late visit. A rude female worker took us over to our table up top which she never said one thing to us. Ordered a Regualr burrito with rice and beans on the side, my gf ordered the same but got a regular bean and cheese burrito which was 10x larger than my regular burrito. Wtf! It seemed as if they scraped the last of the food that was leftover and said here you guys go. Meanwhile, closing time is nearing and they are already to go and close up while we were still eating the rest of our dinner. It was uncomfortable because of their displeased eyes looking at us to eat faster due to the fact all they wanted to do was leave and disregard their customers. We finished our food and left seriously upset about how we were treated, customer service, food and all. Ever since the original owner passed away it seems this establishment has gone down hill. Unfortunately I’m going to have to put Casa Rositas on the back burner for now and take my business else where. smh.

We wandered around Santa Cruz trying to find a sit down Mexican Food restaurant. Thanks to Unilocal,we found Casa Rosita’s. We were pleasantly surprised! The super burrito«enchilada style» was excellent. BIGGEST burrito ever. We could have easily shared the super burrito.

The Chili Colorado is good, the mole on Thursday night is fantastic but that’s about it. Everything else on the menu is lacking and the service is just adequate… to be honest when I come to Casa Ro’s, I lower my expectations so i can get through the meal, the location is good, right down the street from where I live!

First of nice people and friendly service. However this was not only the worst Mexican food but one of the worst meals of my life. Guacamole was something green. Tamales and enchiladas were buried under this brown sauce(wasn’t bean). Simply gross.

We headed over to Santa Cruz Harbor for the final day of our kids Winter Break. After spending some time on the beach, enjoying the gorgeous day, we were hungry and the hubby wanted Mexican food. I searched for restaurants in the area and found Rosita’s. It’s kinda hidden from the street, so we missed it at first. SO glad we found it! Amazing, delicious food. I had the combo with cheese enchiladas, beans and rice. The sauce is good, not too blah, not to bitter. The beans were so good, and the chunky salsa was my favorite! The kids and hubby also loved there meals and we are looking forward to our next visit!

I went in my lunch break and ordered a well known Mexican plate. The waiter wasn’t focused on my order as new people walked in. He didn’t come back as I was waiting for the order to be written down. I asked another lady working their to help me with my order and she answered that they don’t have that dish, I asked her if they have any thing similar since I have being waiting and quickly answered with NO in a rude way! Rude people with lack of ethics

Great food at fair prices. The amount of food you get is huge. The super burrito was just that, super.

This is what I get for walking into a Mexican joint filled w/Caucasians. I should have followed my intuition but this was on my bookmarks; I wanted to see why this is a 4 star establishment. Got seated fairly quickly. The lady that seated me was friendly and so was my server. No complaints about service or speed. I got my water and water carafe right after I ordered which is a plus. I ordered: side of rice(full order), a single spinach enchilada(al la carte) and a chicken burrito(al la carte). I don’t know about you but in San Jose, super burritos are under $ 8 so when I saw the prices of a super burrito here, I immediately knew that this place caters to not just Caucasians but also their rent. I personally don’t give a shit about«ocean view». The rice was very flavorful, light, and fluffy. My spinach enchilada was creamy. I will not complain that it was a piping hot cheesy mess. Why? Because it’s enchilada, for god’s sakes. I like the 2 avocado slices adorned on top. The dish was very heavy and rich. My chicken burrito contained just chicken and beans. No rice. The chicken was bland but the salsa made up for it. The salsa was spicy but the salsa fresco(whatever it’s called, definitely not pico de gallo) tasted funky to me. The tortilla chips were crispy. Other than a rather inexpensive dinner(due to my selections), this place is nothing memorable. I walked out $ 16 poorer and unsatisfied. What Santa Cruz lacks: solid Asian restaurants and In N Out. Hell, I would not pay anywhere near $ 9 for orange chicken nor $ 8+ for a mediocre burger(Betty’s) and a Vietnamese restaurant. Well, this city lacks a lot but I will cut it here.

My parents have been taking me here since I was a kid. I remember that we would have to wait for a long time to get in. Just went back after a few years hiatus, and wasn’t all that impressed. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything to get you excited to come back. Whatever you do, DONT order the wine margaritas! It’s the worst thing I have ever had in my life! I remember it being better when I was a kid. You’re better off getting a beer.
