This particular Lotaburger has ruined my opinion of the establishment. The young lady taking my order would answer me only in Spanish, waited 15 minutes for my burger, fries and drink, the meat tasted like it had been microwaved and looked really grey, the lettuce was withered and there was what looked like some kind of plant root. I would have gone back to complain but I was delayed after I threw that crap out the car window.

During a trip to NM, a relative insisted that I not leave the state without trying a double Lotaburger with green chile. So, I took his advice. The burger, I must say, was nothing special. But it wasn’t bad. I’d have another if I’m ever back in NM. We got a frito pie and a chili dog as well. That chili is spicy! A bit much for me, but perfect for my dining partner. For a fast food joint, they’ve got way more to offer than the places we’ve got in Ohio.

Can I give a restaurant half a star? If so, that’s what Lotaburger deserves. Lotaburger? Lotta cholesterol sure, lotta taste, nope. For $ 7, I got a barely done piece of mystery meat covered in «cheese» and topped with some canned green chilis. You could make a much better burger for $ 2 at home. The fries were decent, and the setting is hideous, like a poorly preserved 1950s fast food joint. If this is what New Mexico is about, then I’m staying in Colorado unless I head to California or some other foodie acceptable destination.

The lotta burger with green is awesome! Also the breakfast burritos are fresh and filling as well. If you’re looking for a burger and fries this is the place to go.
