It’s a Walgreens, it’s open 24 hours, is well stocked, and has generally friendly employees. Wait times for the pharmacy are crazy long, but that’s not their fault, I blame all the people around here that are hooked on prescription painkillers for that one.

I showed up at 1:25pm — waited 15 minutes to speak to an employee — was asked to wait, and when it was finally my turn /waited an additional 5 minutes to speak with someone as someone pulled into the drive through and somehow took precedence over me. My transaction was quick — I was told to wait 10 – 15 minutes. It had been 20 minutes and I was just told that it would be another 10 – 15 minutes. I’d also like to add that I find it to be a breach of privacy that when standing at the counter(waiting for 20 minutes) you can clearly read the labels of the scripts awaiting pickup. I spotted a Viagra script with the person’s name clearly on the packaging in addition to other medicines I couldn’t identify(the names of the patients, I could …) I could also hear the pharmacist very loudly discussing the quantity of Oxycontin the pharmacy currently has with a patient, and that there isn’t enough to fill his script … The person behind him was there for Oxy too, apparently, because she joined in the conversation.

Super slow rude service. Avoid. Even if you are dropping off a new script you have to line up and wait. Need to move my records to a service oriented pharmacy!

The pharmacy is about the slowest to serve customers imaginable. There is always a long line inside, and the drive thru line is immense. The pharmacists are aloof and very short with customers, and make you feel as if you are a nuisance. They also don’t seem to know what prescriptions they have filled for you have filled in the past. There are many prescriptions that they do not even stock. I am going to start going to CVS because Walgreens does not properly staff the Walgreens Cerrillos location, and the existing staff is not customer-oriented.

The lines get pretty long here during the after-work hours, and everyone has some sort of reason for taking such a LOOOONNGGGG time, but you can get BOOZE at a DRUGSTORE? My my, Santa Fe(or is is New Mexico?). Such laws! I’m a fan, needless to say.
