This food here is delicious and fresh. It’s hard to believe that it’s fast food. The chicken avocado tacos are my favorite. It’s so inexpensive and so good. The green salsa is the best here and they will add fresh avocado to anything if you want.

Very rude service!
Didn’t understand or want to accept my check in to redeem a free churro. The cashier just made a face like she didn’t want to deal with figuring out how to get me my damn churro lol. Definitely one of the crappiest Pollo locos I’ve been too, even for LA.

I come here instead of Other taco places in Santa Monica because el pollo loco is clean. They know how to properly handle food. Their chicken is moist not dry.
And the management is friendly and really do care about their customers. Not like other mom and pop taco stands

I love a good Tex-​mex dish here and there. I usually go to authentic Mexican restaurants but if I don’t have time and just want to grab a quick healthy meal, I’ll stop by here. This location is okay. There’s plenty of parking available as well as plenty of seating inside to enjoy your meals.
The staff is okay, they can be friendly but often it feels like they hate their jobs and it can project when ordering your food.
Plenty of salsas and drinks to choose from. I love that El Pollo Loco has healthy selections to choose from.

Meanwhile there were three cash registers not being used.
I said, «Excuse me, are you the manager…»
By the time he decided to hop to, I was out the door.

Loads of salsa and always plentiful amount of fresh chilies to chose from. It’s healthful fast food and they are always updating their menu for the better.
They literally cook the food right in front of you.
This is one of the better locations in LA

The manager here is truly a delight. She always makes sure you’re well taken care of. I usually send my orders in via Unilocal app. She checks that everything is 100% correct staff is always nice and friendly smiling they look really happy to be at work good job El pollo local Santa Monica Beach

Don’t go there they don’t honor their coupons in the mail when they run out of legs. Spoke to the manager and he could not substitute after going out in the rain.

The manager at this location is TOP NOTCH. It’s by far the best El Pollo Loco in the area, and I’ve been to several of them when in SM for business. The place is super clean, the guy who cooks the chicken is professional, and the women who take your order and prepare the food are positive, up-​beat, and super-​courteous. I recommend this place highly!

Out of the 3 El Pollo Loco locations in the area this one is the best. The employees here are on the ball and this place is spacious and clean. My only complaint is the «tip» cups. At a fast food restaurant???
Someone complained about the prices at this location. You can blame the landlord who owns this mini shopping center. I heard that they raised the rent. This drove out Tommy Burger and brought in a Star Buck, like we need another one of those! I think not. El Pollo stayed but evidently raised their prices in order to survive.

One star on account of greedy franchise owner. The prices at this El Pollo are jacked up $ 1 – 2 per meal. Santa Monica surcharge I suppose but this location isn’t exactly high rent Montana Avenue. Especially ridiculous considering the El Pollo Loco 1 mile south down Lincoln has the same exact prices as every other El Pollo Loco I’ve ever been to but this one. On top of that they wanted to surcharge $ 3 to upgrade to white meat on a $ 10 meal. I hate broken math at fast food places like when it’s cheaper to buy a meal with a drink than without. WTF. Food was fine but salsa bar was filthy and they screwed up our order…

The cashiers are always so sweet and friendly! I think thats definitely what makes them stand out from a diff el pollo loco i went to. The lady in the glasses at the cashier is wonderful. Seating is limited especially during lunch when all the students are out the same time too, and im not sure about their restrooms cleanliness i always get foods to go. But customer service two thumbs up nonetheless!

I love el pollo loco! They are quick here and food is always right and on point. Trust me when I say not all el pollo loco’s are the same. The service is good too which Is important. I always get the avocado bacon bowl and i am never disappointed than I get two kids meals for my 2 boys and they love the rice and chicken. This is a quick inexpensive meal that taste good.

Great place to go if you enjoy fresh grilled chicken with reasonable price. When you order your food at the cash register, you get to see the behind the scene where they grilled the chicken. They have great option of sauces to go with your meal.
I came here with my brother and his volleyball friends after their beach volleyball practice from the beach. We got the family mix chicken meal. Dont remember the exact price but it was around $ 25 or less. We got corns and salad as our side dish. Their chickens was moisture and had the right amount of seasoning. It has the fresh grilled flavor.
Will definitely come back whenever i visit LA again

The service here is just unbelievably friendly. For a fast food type of franchise, you would never expect such high end type of service from the moment you order at the cashier to when you get your take out order.
Got the 2 piece meal for myself which is more than enough to keep you full without burning the bills in your wallet. The chicken was a bit on the dry side but the sides I got (wild rice and new corn) were flavorful and exceeded my expectations. I love their avocado sauce. It is almost a must to get to compliment your meal.
Parking is not so great on the other hand. People park their cars in non-​parking spot to pick up at local eats in the plaza making it hard for the rest of us to maneuver around this around tiny parking lot.

Free Taquito for Unilocal Check-​in, a rare freebie in this part of SaMo.
Fire grilled chicken is good like at the other El Pollo Loco branches so I always end up getting that.
Parking lot is too small and gets crowded very quickly so you’ll have to park on one of the side streets.
With Venice High School nearby, longs get long around lunch time and from after school hours through early dinner time.
