Yo! I’m not a big plant guy but I’ve been slowly amassing an arsenal of vegetation for my new place. I pass by here all the time so went to check it out and they have a massive selection of indoor plants. I was shocked to find that all the plants outside(but under the cover) are ALL indoor plants. Stoked on that. Jimmy was the guy who helped me and he was pretty cool. I hammered him with questions about names, types, sunlight requirements, watering etc, and I must have had him pull out 20 different plants. He was patient and didn’t really seem to get annoyed. He also knew what he was talking about and had some good info. I agree w the other reviews that no one there was overly nice and ya he kinda looked rushed and not so excited to be there: /but they’ve got a great selection and he gave me a little discount at the end for buying one of the hand painted Mexican pots(which are beautiful I might add). Thanks guys!

I love going to places where they know their stuff, which makes my visit smooth and quick. I came here for 2 door indoor plants, some pots and potting soil. I walked in, looked around and admired their plant selection, I found the guy who works there, I told him what I needed, he pointed me to the plants that would fit my needs, I chose the plants and pots, he answered my questions — and bam done. He packed plants nicely in my car and I was a happy camper. I loved the service here. This is an old school Japanese style business. No need for extra chit chat but at least to me they were super nice. I would recommend these guys for your indoor or balcony plants!!! One parking spot at the back and one handicap spot, but you can also park on Marine and then bring the car over once you have purchased your stuff.

So I called them up today to inquire if they carried planting charcoal for using in terrariums and the guy answers the phone and does not even say the business name. Very monotone in his voice, not enthusiastic, welcoming or seeming to care about my business. Was going to check the place out, but since he seemed uninterested and unwelcoming, I think not!

I just got two gorgeous, healthy healthy healthy jasmine plants from here. I wanted something to grow up and create some privacy on my balcony. The son helped me out and found a plant that would grow well, not have thorns, not overwhelm the space, etc. They are beautiful, growing amazingly and(like I already said three times) SO healthy. I also got two large pots for them. The whole thing was under $ 100. From the reviews here, I asked if he could plant the plants in the pots for me, and he said he would, but it would be really heavy, so he gave me very simple, clear instructions.

The staff is still vague and fun like the idea of their most well known product: The Money Tree. This plant/tree is anywhere from 8 bucks, to 100, depending on the person you talk to, the time of day, maybe your smile, and I think, maybe, the actual size of the plant.

I like this shop because: 1. they have money trees! i adore money trees. they’re so easy to take care of. little water, little light, what more could you ask for? 2. they specialize in indoor plants which is all i can grow at my current apt. 3. they’re family owned. the son usually helps me. he’s not the friendliest of guys, but he is helpful and potted my plants for me, which was great and saved me the trouble of doing it myself. 4. it’s kind of like Target. you know, you go in with the intention of buying only socks but you come out with a new lamp, a cute top, and before you know it you’ve spent a hundred bucks? yeah, that’s me in this place. today i came out with this adorable tree. don’t ask me what the name of it is. i did ask, but i can’t remember now. 5. it’s so close! i could walk there if i wasn’t afraid of the hill that i’d have to walk up with all my impulse plant buys. 6. very good prices. i really can’t complain. not as cheap as an anawalt or home depot, but very reasonable.
