Not bad. Mediocre. Special rolls seemed over-sauced, and some ingredients seemed a little weird tasting(I.e. The blue crab). Nigiri pieces seemed fresh, but were served at an unappealing refrigerator temperature.

Always such a great experience from the staff to the food! We’re always willing to travel from San Pedro cause Nonstop became a favorite restaurant of ours.

All you can eat sushi! They’re kinda enough to let me NOT participate in all you can eat because I wasn’t really hungry. I just ordered a la carte. The boys ordered all you can eat and they freaking killed it! It’s super delicious! If you’re in the mood for All you can eat sushi. This is the place you should go to. Nice staff!

Their fish to rice ratio is terrible. I’ve never seen a sushi place but so much rice. I’ve gone to many AYCE sushi restaurants that put about 1⁄3 the amount of rice that this places does. Service was slow as well. Everything tasted good though and their hand rolls were really good.

Very good food. Big portions and very reasonable price. Service extremely friendly and helpful. The all you can eat is a good deal but frankly if you dont want to stuff yourself with sushi the rolls are actually very reasonably priced, and their big draft sapporo goes for 5 bucks, cant beat that! I am pretty sure we’ll be back!

Better then average sushi, but their customer service is absolutely poor. I don’t like the way the do business and I of the 2 times I came here, I didn’t enjoyed my time as well as I should have. If you get all you can eat, don’t get the roles, go for the nigiri

I’ve always wanted to come here and thought I couldn’t afford it. I was wrong! If you’re not interested in the All You Can Eat option(27.95 dinner) the rolls and sushi are all reasonably priced, especially for Santa Monica/Venice. So, as I was saying affordable, $ 1 small sake upon checking in with Unilocal right out of the gate is a good sign. The arrangement of the restaurant is really cool, all the seating kind of wraps around the giant sushi bar. Music is a tad loud but that’s to be expected in a Japanese environment. Red lanterns and black seating and bar make for a traditional look. All the sushi was tasty, big portions and fresh. I had a great time while eating here and would definitely come back. The staff was super nice and attentive, and they even gave me an order of edemame while I waited for my guest. A+

Wouldn’t return. We were seated promptly and servers seemed to be attentive. That is, until our plates had been delivered. They never returned, empty cups and dirty plates were completely ignored. As for the food, the rice was very unflavorful and there was too much of it. The fish was sliced more thinly than I am accustomed to as well.

My friend and I came in Sunday thinking that I would have AYCE sushi, but we got all you can stuff your face with rice instead. The fish to rice ratio was probably 1:3 or 1:4 in mass, as the hand mold of rice was the size of two pink eraser you would’ve had in 2nd grade. The slice of fish was as thick as a slice of dry wrigley’s gum. Our first and only round was 1x shrimp tempura(almost like popcorn shrimp), 1x tempura squid arms, agedashi tofu, 1x edamame, 1x miso soup a couple rolls, and the heaviest disappointment of them all, 10x salmon sushi. Ultimately it only took 1 round to kill us since they packed the sushi with so much rice. Maybe the restaurant was intimidated with our initial order of 15+ items, maybe they’re cheap, maybe they were running low on fish, maybe they discriminated against us because we dressed down. Whatever the reason, if they couldn’t accommodate us, then have the decency to tell us we can’t have the AYCE option or refuse service to us. Don’t weasel out and skimp on the fish and then have the audacity to lecture us about not finishing the rice. You served us extra rice, we just served it back to you. The waitress even mentioned«…next time we’ll have to charge you for the entire meal» and I wanted to interject with a laugh and«there won’t be a next time». Ultimately I would’ve given 2 stars, but that waitress’s attitude just ruffled my feathers. If you had decent customer service with indecent food, fine I get that you’re a business and you want to rub 2 coins between your fingers. But if you have abhorrent food and offensive service, then lick my boot. I’m surprised my friend even tipped, he’s a belligerent fat man with a soft heart I guess. Granted I have no experience about AYCE sushi in the West side, it’s clear that this place is not . For $ 30/person you’d have a better meal at Todai(USA), Sake2me(Tustin), or Yoshino Sushi(Monterey Park). Sheeet, I might as well gotten full on BBQ down the street at Blue’s. Clearly Nonstop was a street warning to not stop in.

Short and sweet: the presentation is fantastic however the quality and taste does up live up to the food presentation. SERVICEISGARBAGE Came here for lunch ayce which was reasonably priced at 20.95. Not too bad, but then I saw the menu and realized all their best rolls were DINNERONLY. UPSETTING. But I still needed my sushi fix. Ordered 3 appetizers but only 1 came… Salmon collar. WHEREWASTHEPOPCORNSHRIMP I ORDERED? Anyway my food took forever and a day to arrive. 5 rolls took about 30 minutes. The service was horrible, the waitress was sweet and very accommodating but the male waiter seemed to give me unnecessary sass. Or maybe he was just really unfriendly. Anyway waited forever for my rolls, and my order for the first round didn’t arrive completely. I had to remind them that I still had nigiri. I had to ask if I wanted more water. TIP: GETUPANDREFILLYOURSELFCAUSEIT’LLBEFASTER. Nigiri arrived and the Salmon was still icy and frozen. Tuna was delicious, albacore was pretty good too. The rice to sashimi ratio was no Bueno. The only roll I truly enjoyed was the baked salmon roll. I ordered another one and it took a good 45 minutes to get to my table. Overall I had a pretty bad dining experience there. I’m not sure why given that the restaurant was not too busy at the time. It was truly dissapointing. The food definitely would have taste better if they had better service. FASTERSERVICE. Overall I give the food 3 stars as the quality and taste was average to me. 2 stars for service. SMHWHYDOESTHISHAVETOBETHEONLYAYCESUSHIRESTAURANTAROUND. #DISAPPOINTED

This is the first AYCE place I’ve been to where they don’t require all members of the party to do AYCE. Overall the Rolls are tasty and there are interesting options, but don’t expect to get super fresh fish when you come here. There are limited options for AYCE sushi on the westside, so if you have a gluttonous craving for sushi and don’t want to drive to Midori in the Valley, Nonstop is worth checking out. I’ve read some reviews where they mess up on orders, and it happened to us as well. They gave us two orders of the same sushi platter even though we just ordered one. We struggled to finish both orders so we wouldn’t have to pay the penalty, but definitely make sure that you get what you order!

This place is great for AYCE! I didn’t think they would exist in LA but lo and behold, here one is! It’s in a little strip mall off of Lincoln and Ocean Park and there’s plenty of parking! YAY! We came on a Saturday afternoon and didn’t have to wait at all. We were seated right away and knew we wanted to get the all you can eat lunch which was $ 20, I believe. They had plenty of options on the menu for rolls, nigiri and appetizers. We even got salmon collar off of the appetizer menu which is something we’ve never seen before! Our service was great and we left feeling full and satisfied. The food is great quality for an all you can eat place. It’s obviously not amazing sushi, but for the price and the amount, it’s great. The only thing we did notice on the way out was that the main rolls are pre-made. On the way out, my boyfriend saw the sushi chef pulling a pre-made roll out of the refrigerator. It appears they have a bunch of those made and then they just add the toppings to them. The rolls tasted good, it just seems that they’re not completely, 100% fresh. I would still definitely come back though. It’s a good fix when you’re craving sushi and you get a lot of food for the price.

32oz beer for $ 5. YAHEARDME! AYCE dinner for $ 28 is not bad at all, considering I usually order 1 – 2 rolls and an appetizer when I go out for sushi and that usually comes out to about $ 25 – 35. The AYCE menu is extensive, it has sushi/nigiri, appetizers, crazy rolls, regular rolls, etc. Obvs the quality of fish is not THEBESTOFTHEBEST but that’s expected of an AYCE place. With that being said, I still feel like my sushi/nigiri pieces were good(salmon, tako, eel, etc). I will say the uni was an interesting darker color and the scallops were a little rubbery but other than that, the salmon, tako, and eel were good. ANDTHE32OZBEERIS $ 5! Oh, and the staff is quite friendly!

I recently tried this place with a friend, because I heard there was a new all you can eat sushi place in town, and so I thought I’d try it needless to say I ended up killing three times then a couple weeks. As a side note, parking is easy. For this side of town, $ 21 for all you can eat sushi lunch price, is really good. You need to know that there are a lot of sushi is that you cannot get during the lunch time, but can get during dinner time except that it costs $ 27 before tax and tip. There is certainly better sushi out there in the world, but for all you can eat, I felt this sushi quality was pretty good, and they give lots of fish on their nigiris. My favorite sushis were the Avenue of the stars roll, hot night roll, and anything with eel on it. I’m not really a fan of green mussels, but there’s were really good. So I can garlic miso base and it’s fantastic. When my brother and I went I think we ate 30 together. Service is excellent, and they are very attentive. A lot of all you can eat sushi places you have to wait a long time between each round, but they don’t do that to you here. Also there’s no time limit, you don’t have to feel rushed. If you’re looking for a new all you can eat sushi place in the area, you just found it. Tl/Dr 5⁄5 value 5⁄5 service 5⁄5 parking 3⁄5 selection 4⁄5 taste

Came in here for lunch. It’s all you can eat for about $ 20 or around that. They have an okay selection. The appetizers were okay. This is what I got Grilled Tofu appetizer — Good. Sauce was good. It had flavor. Calamari — Good. Served with cocktail sauce and I asked for lemon and it made it good. Heart Attack — Good. I liked it cause it was on the smaller side and tasted good. Salmon, Escolar, Albacore, Yellowtail sushi. They were good. Not amazing or game changing. I liked the yellowtail more than the other selections. Only the albacore came with a sauce. The service was just under par. It wasn’t too welcoming nor attentive. But thats okay. I got fed and it was A Ok.

You know what really grinds my gears? People that go to an ALLYOUCANEAT sushi place expecting 5-star sushi, fully knowing that the quality of the sushi won’t be the best, and then rate the place a 2. Also, outing chefs based on nationality? Dude, one of the best ramen chefs in the world is a white guy from Queens. Chinese food? Probably prepared by Mexican cooks. There are plenty of places for your snooty ass to drop some bills on high-grade sushi. LA Eater even made a list for you: BYE, FELICIA. Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming… If you’re looking to eat until you can’t see straight in a judgement-free sushi zone with guaranteed seating on a Friday evening, this is your main squeeze. Upon entering, you’re graciously greeted by the entire staff(Apparently they’re Korean, not Japanese? Who gives a f-ck?). The ambiance is laid back, and the service is attentive but not overbearing. How many rounds can you last? Their order sheets have room for up to 3 rounds of all the sushi you can swallow, but I’ve never made it past the second. And dessert? Forget about it. –Tempura popcorn shrimp –Any of the insane fried rolls –Hamachi nigiri –Unagi all day If you go, hit me up and I’ll meet you over there. We can have a sushi eating contest. I’m not very competitive, but I hate losing. And I’ll probably win.

The 4 and 5 star raters have to be based on price, not taste. Sure, $ 21 for AYCE lunch and $ 28 for dinner is great, but let’s be real — this is not 5 star sushi. It’s not horrible, but not what you’d get at a quality sushi house. Dig a little more and you’ll see those 4⁄5 star raters don’t review other sushi places(they don’t know from good sushi). If you like«crazy» rolls with lots of things in them and covered in sauce, you probably won’t notice the low quality fish. But if you’re ordering nigiri(fish on top of rice) you’ll notice that the fish is bland. Also, tuna for sushi should be red(sashimi quality), not pinkish(cooking quality). Unlike most all you can eat places they don’t load you up with big servings of rice. This place’s trick is to slice the fish razor thin. So, same net result. Check out the pic I took, look at how thin the salmon is. Even the tamago(egg) is about half the thickness it normally is! I’d come here with a big group that wanted to get drunk and easily split the tab. But I wouldn’t come again for a quality meal. I’d rather pay $ 15 more for something that’s truly 4⁄5 star quality.

Dropped here today for a quick lunch with my aunt. We ordered a house salad, 3 rolls(caterpillar, polar bear, and dynamite) which came out to approx. $ 44 bucks for two. We would have done the all you can eat(ayce) however we weren’t that hungry so we went for the latter. I believe AYCE was like around 20 bucks a person if I recall correctly. They have a separate menu for it and paper to fill out what you would like to order. I tried the polar bear roll before but for takeout and enjoyed it. This time, I did as well but it felt like a lot of flavor packed in — more so than last time. Still loved the taste! We ordered some pretty heavy flavored sushi — so we are experiencing some food coma afterwards. We definitely enjoyed the sushi though! As we came at a odd hour on a weekday, service was fast. Not too long after ordering our house salad came. While we worked on the house salad, 2 of our rolls came. And then the dynamite. Very nice timing! Once we were leaving they told us goodbye and thank you — very huge greetong. Would come again! Am a fan — did not really need substitutions for anything. However for that ayce — would be better with a bigger group to eat. Odd hours — faster service. And FYI they dont deliver.

You will leave stuffed to the point where the sushi rolls won’t be the only thing rolls in this restaurant. You might need to Nonstop is definitely an apt name as the sushi and rolls keep coming. This restaurant is under new management and the staff are a rambunctious crew with the ringleader being a cowboy hat wearing dude who will gleefully yell to the top of his lungs when customers come a-walkin’ in. Definitely a festive and fun experience. Service was really good and attentive. They seemingly repurposed a Denny’s or café style restaurant as the booths and bar are reminiscent of Norm’s or restaurants like that. But now it’s all black and fitted with HD TVs so you can combine two of life’s greatest pleasures: sports and sushi. I liked that they have a pretty extensive appetizer menu with the fried calamari being a real favorite. But you definitely don’t want to fill up on the fried goodies. They also have clever names for each of their rolls with a healthy obsession with Presidential names such as the Obama Care Roll, the Bush Roll, and the Lincoln Speech roll. I really liked the Sexy Roll and the Avenue of the Stars Roll. I believe there is a rule in place limiting uni that says it can only be ordered on one round but they’ll give you plenty so don’t be scared. Everything is presented really nicely and the fish quality is actually not bad. Though I will say the tuna could be better but that seems to be a common theme at AYCE sushi places in general. The salmon, yellowtail, and scallop were my top 3. You will easily get your money’s worth even at $ 28 for AYCE dinner. Dinner prices are in effect all weekend even at lunch. At the end of the meal, they’ll provide a punch card so that you can get a discounted dinner next time. I like Nonstop and so far its tops on my list for AYCE that I’ve had. Also helps that it’s a local option!
