Prices are good. Food use to be better a couple years back now it’s just ok. Staff is always friendly.

The food is EXCELLENT compared to all other mexican food in santa paula. The service is mediocre. I love to eat here. The carne asada is top notch and tender and lean. My favorite is the sopes. I’ve tried many different dishes here and have been very satisfied with the food every time. Yummy!

Oh I got camarones al mojo de ajo which were good but my friend got a shrimp tostada which doesn’t taste like shrimp at all so if u go there don’t order it the carnitas gordita were so good and the service it’s a little bit slow definitely not coming back sooner they need to put more flavor and effort makingto food because basically customers make a bussines and this is not a real expression of tlaquepaque jalisco taste because I’m from Jalisco and I know a good plate when I taste it .have a great day this review its not just to criticize is to make ur establishment better

Very good homemade corn tortillas that went perfectly with my Chile Verde. We went to a car show out there so there were lots of people and it was super crowded but worth the wait. Very good food! Gave 4 stars only for service because they were very busy and they weren’t able to accommodate all of the customers needs, so it took a while for seating and ordering and food to get served, but worth the wait!

Such an amazing breakfast experience with friends and family. Always great food and the OJ is the best. You definitely have my vote for the best Mexican food in the 805! I highly recommend the #11 on their breakfast menu… absolutely delicious! Gracias!

This is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to! Delicious homemade tortillas, the best tortas I’ve ever had and enchiladas to die for! I love the food here so much I had them cater my wedding and it was the best decision of my life!

You know a Mexican restaurant is going to be good when the only people you see when you arrive are Mexicans they know their own food. This place is fantastic especially the chicken caldo. incredible highly recommended always a favorite the tortillas are handmade thick and warm right from the kitchen

I love this place! The food is excellent. Homemade tortillas are sooo yummy. Chicken caldo is very delicious, carne asada tacos are made to perfection. Tortas, beans, rice, enchiladas, all of it! I have never ordered anything that I didn’t like. Salsa is very tasty as well. Staff is friendly and very good with coming to make sure you are taken care of. They should take the larger spot of Tia babes on 10th or la cabana. This is REAL Mexican food people!

Santa Paula’s secret: Tlaquepaque is the best Real Mexican place in town. Authentic soft tacos. Authentic small-town décor. Busy, clean, good service. Not Americanized. Not fancy. Just good delicious food.

We have been eating here for years, truly authentic Mexican food. Really good service. I would rather have great food than great Margaritas. Like the other place in town that has no flavor. This food has flavor and homemade corn tortillas are delish. Try it!

Micheladas need to be re-done. After that the waitress is a hustler she had like 8 tables 1 waitress. But we had decent service. Had beers and a quesadilla. Restrooms need a makeover.

I used to love this place, the food is affordable and authentic but today it let me down, I ordered menudo to find a dam human hair in it, when I told the waitress she just looked at me and took the plate away. I was wearing my hair up, no way it was my hair. Not once did they apologize, they wrote it off the bill which I appreciated. But when checking out I let me then know the food was good but it was disgusting to find a hair in it, the waitress looked at me with a dumb look, she didn’t even say anything back. They acted like if I lied which is terrible. This is the worst behavior a restaurant can do, at least have the courtesy to acknowledge your mistake. I don’t see myself coming back here, this is not sanitary. Get your act together and work on being more for courteous to your customers. You need to hire new servers, they know nothing about being friendly.

Yumm. had the chicken flautas and carnitas. very good. Salsa fresh. Tortilla chips warm. .only thing the outside of the restaurant has dirty sidewalks, trash can overflowing, homeless people sitting outside next door. Didn’t feel too good about that but food was worth it. They need to clean up the area..

If there are 3 things I know, it’s authenticity, Mexicans, and restaurants. And this is the best authentic Mexican restaurant in this area. Service was great and super fast. Just so you know, they serve desayuno all dia long. The chips and salsa alone will make you exclaim«¡dios mio!» In summary, me gusta. Me gusta a lot.

This place reminds me of being in Mexico having breakfast at my grandmas house. The service was excellent and food was good. I had the pozole and it was very good but needed a bit more spice for my taste. My bf had tacos, he really enjoyed the carnitas and lengua but the asada not so much.

I’m so shocked this place has so many good reviews. Maybe I was there on an off day, but I did not have a good experience at all, with either the service or the food. I decided to stop by for lunch after reading so many good reviews. The place was packed, so I took it to be a good sign. However, no one ever came up to me to seat me. There were a few open tables, so after standing there like a nincompoop for over 5 minutes, I sat myself. I tried flagging down a waitress, but I still wasn’t acknowledged ATALL. 10 more minutes went by. I had to stand up by my table waving at a waitress to bring me a menu. When she brought it, she slapped it down on the table and walked away without a word. Didn’t even bother to take a drink order. By this point, I was starting to get annoyed. I finally ordered after another 10 minutes, and when she brought my carne asada, it was cold, fatty, and not appetizing at all. By this point, I was done. I got my bill, and became so confused because I didn’t know if I was supposed to go up to the front to pay or wait for the waitress to pick it up. After waiting a long time I finally gave up, went to the front of the restaurant and personally handed the bill with my card to the person in the front. There are tons of other Mexican restaurants in this area that I would go to where the food is way better, and where you at least feel welcome. Maybe they thought I was a white girl and didn’t feel like they needed to treat me with respect. They looked really surprised when I broke out the Spanish and let them know I wouldn’t be coming back. Guess next time they shouldn’t assume someone’s first language isn’t Spanish just because they look a little blanca nieves. Nomas estoy diciendo. Hasta nunca Tlaquepaque.
